You can’t get a better cheese burger in California and the price is right too! The creamery has been a historical landmark and amazing eatery for decades in downtown Palo Alto, don’t miss it, go early for lunch or there will be a line, this...More

We stopped in for desert and the whole crew had ice cream, sundaes, and milk shakes. It’s an old diner and really fun. The ice cream was solid, but not incredible. It’s seen as the place to see in Palo Alto so expect it to...More

Its not fancy and not California cuisine, but most of the menu is simple, straightforward food that is consistently well prepared.

I was definitely disappointed in the quality of the food for the price charged. I know that Palo Alto can have higher prices but I felt like the quality at this restaurant didn't stand up to what we ate. I was especially disappointed when my...More

Went for dessert around 830pm. Banana split was really good; also lots of pie options. FYI area is crowded so parking is an issue. Park in the garage which is central to the block.

Kids wanted ice cream after lunch and my my husband and I wanted to sit and relax for a few minutes. We sat at the counter and the kids decided on milkshakes. 8.50 a milkshake is a bit steep. A few local craft beers available.

This place is a nostalgic favorite and offers a solid experience and a varied menu. The food is competently prepared but nothing special. My main beef is the prices. This is really true of many restaurants in Palo Alto. They are 10-20% too expensive. A...More
