Visited NOVEMBER 17 – While some business are struggling and still working diligently to implement safety protocols and keep their customers safe, Tyler's appears to be going in the opposite direction. I'll just say this: the guy who cleans the tables (read "touches every single...dirty dish hot off people's tables") is the same guy grabbing every single straw and putting them into everyone's drinks with his bare hands. Considering the current times, these people clearly do not care in the least about maintaining safety measures and are inviting a serious spike of COVID-19 in the desert, completely negating the work of other hardworking business who actually care about their customers.More
I always try to find a restaurant specializing in burgers wherever I travel. I was excited to try Tyler's in Palm Springs but was extremely disappointed to be told that I could not get a rare burger! I had to settle for medium-rare and was...underwhelmed. I'm not sure the purpose of eating a burger unless its rare. I got a rare burger at Cheeky's so I know its not a California law. I fear its because they use frozen or precooked beef. I found Tyler's expensive for what I considered average food. That being said, the service was outstanding and the experience almost made up for the let-down about my burger.More
Tyler's has it all: excellent casual food (burgers and fries are a must), excellent service and ownership/management, and ambiance. There are two outdoor patios/areas: the larger in the back and a smaller one in the front. The location is wow! right in the center of...the Plaza in a historic building. This is a not to be missed experience in Palm Springs--trust me, you'll come back again! (Two notes: because Tyler's is so great, come early or late and be prepared to wait--though process to get a table is very good; and it is cash only.More
Staff is a little sassy, in a good way, which makes this burger joint a fun time in the heart of downtown PSP. Food is great, non-meat eaters had their choices from the menu as well. Everything is good here at Tyler's except for the...wait. Obviously a popular spot, I suggest arriving before 11:45 am to snatch your outdoor table for some great people watching. Do it!More
I love coming here for a quick lunch when I'm in the area. The burgers are really simple and get the job done. It's nice to not go to a place that's just trying to recreate in n out burgers. Their sides are really good...too. If your not in the mood for fries I recommend their potato salad. Some of the best I've ever had. It's not fancy or anything but that's one of the charms of this little burger spotMore
For PS this is one of the better burgers around but in comparison to the greater US, this is average fare.....hand shaped patties on average buns with lettuce, tomato and onions isn’t earth shattering. The fries were very average. Egg salad was enjoyable and slaw...okay.
Service was pleasant but sitting in a parking lot between idling and parked cars does little for me as did the rock hard extremely uncomfortable chairs. Drinks in plastic cups also adds? to the vibe.....
Friends drag us here annually and I expect and always get a decent burger and fries at a reasonable price. There are some great burger places not too far away......More
Wow, I forgot to take a photo but the bacon burger was exceptional. The atmosphere was very nice even on the Main Street outside it was casual and not very noisy. The fries were shoestring and I could have passed on them.
