Keedy's is a vintage type throwback diner type place. The food is great, (only did breakfast). You have to have the 2 x 2 x2. The pancakes are the best I have ever had. They are open only for breakfast and lunch.
Not many diners merit a five star rating but Keedy's does.
This place takes a step back in time to the 1950s with good old fashioned and no nonsense delicious food. This a local hangout and a great place for a family meal.
The restaurant...is easy to find on Highway 111 and has ample parking at the back. Walking in is like going back in time in a good way with memorabilia decorating the restaurant. There is table service and best of all counter service. How long has it been since you sat at a lunch counter?
Breakfast is a favorite at Keedy's and there is something on the menu for everyone. The food is delicious and the service is fast and friendly.
Do yourself a favor and try this place, it will become a favorite.More
Our hotel suggested this place- tried to not judge upon arrival- true greasy greasy spoon
We both had omelets flat and oily tasting - they put a square slice of cheese on top of the omelette!☹️ I don’t even do that at home- greasy hash...browns and no gluten free pancakes -More
The wife and I were visiting the Palm Desert area for a golf vacation, and we decided to look for an iconic breakfast spot, and Keedys seemed to fit the bill. the restaurant was filling fast when we got there, and the food and ambience...was the reason why. They have a wide variety of food, and breakfast is served all day. I ordered the chorizo and eggs with hash browns, and the wife had Chilaquiles and Eggs. The food was good, the staff friendly and the collection of pictures on the walls interesting. If you are looking for a nice place to grab a bite, I would recommend Keedy's Fountain and Grill.More
Friends suggested we meet here for breakfast during our recent visit to Palm Springs area. SO glad they did. We have visited the area several times, but had not heard of Keedy's before. My spouse and I are big fans of diner food, cafe food,...the kind of food we got at restaurants when we were kids. I love pancakes and our friends said Keedy's were excellent. They were right. Excellent pancakes with nice, crisp bacon on the side. The rest of our party had breakfasts that were equally as good. Fast, good service despite all the customers. This place is VERY popular, so be prepared to wait for a table. It's worth it. We went two more times while we were there and I tried a breakfast burrito that was really good. Everyone we took there was impressed.More
We took our friends here for lunch. They each ordered burgers with fries. My wife ordered the BLT with extra crispy bacon and as usual it came exactly the way she likes it. I thought I would try something new but gravitated instead to my...fave, the Patty Melt.
Loved every bite.
I did not catch the name of our server, but she did a GREAT job.More
This is a very busy place, however the customers are moved through very quickly. We had to wait 10 minutes to get a table. Not bad! This restaurant has been at its present location since the 1950’s. Service is great and the food is delicious....It’s like stepping back in time.More

I have never had a date shake at Keedy's and did not know that they served them. However, all of Keedy's shakes are blended the old fashioned way and are very thick and tasty. If they serve a date shake then I am sure they are good also.
If I want a date shake I always go to Shields. They are GREAT!
