Nick’s is a lot of fun. Awesome large bar, great lounge area with an active dance floor, and a delicious restaurant. It also has a large private parking lot which is a plus. I’d recommend calling for reservations otherwise you’ll likely have a wait during...the dinner hours, but it was worth it. We had the steamed mussels and scallop entree; all prepared perfectly and flavor packed. The wait staff seem to really enjoy the patrons and make the experience even more enjoyable. The menu has something for everyone, as it’s almost overwhelming with the choices. I would absolutely return!More

This was turned out to be an amazing dining experience. I cannot recommend it enough. When we arrived we were thrilled to see 2-story high waves crashing against the rocks and seawall soaking the cars and the foolish oblivious tourists taking photos of the display...of nature's massive power. Without a reservation, we expected far more than the 20 minute wait we were quoted. The line was literally out the door. But at precisely 20 minutes, we were seated and our perfect service of lunch began. Our server was friendly, anticipatory, and prompt. He took care of us like a personal butler for our table. We had to tip him about 25% because the service was impeccable. Rare these days. The food was just magnificent. Every dish was tasty, high quality, and abundant. The calamari was excellent. I had the crab sandwich and the crab was beautiful, fresh, and on crunchy, toasted sourdough. The avocado and bay shrimp sandwich on marbled rye was nicely presented. And the fish and chips were gigantic in a thick crust of beer batter, and flavorful. Prices are high market, but for generous portions of food of this quality I do not mind. The only even slightly negative we could say is that the french fries were a bit limp. It is a bit off the beaten track, but definitely worth the stop.More

Our family was in Pacifica to celebrate my daughter’s 17th birthday. After an awesome morning of surfing everyone was hungry. We did not know the area, so we set off for a place to have some lunch. After a few streets and a couple u-turns...we stumbled onto Nick’s and literally had to pull into the parking lot because the road ended at the bluffs of the beach. What a wonderful find! The crab sandwich is huge! The clam chowder in a bread bowl or without is absolutely delicious. It was exactly what we wanted and did not even know it. It was a delicious happenstance. The staff extremely friendly and very accommodating. A must try if you’re in the area.More

Great view. "Traditional" décor. Waiter very attentive But greeter seemed bored. Food: very average and overpriced for portion size. NOT a highlight of our California visit.

I hate writing bad reviews, However, I must express the disappointment with my experience. Over priced completely , Tasteless food. Don’t bother eating here unless you have no tastebuds Halibut special for $36 was so dry, mango salsa was also dry, green bean old &...tasteless. Not worth taking a Togo box. French fries were okay, but they were not hot! Crab sandwich was dry and tasteless as well! How can they be famous for that?? Bloody Mary was good! I felt cheated. Our waitress was nice Bathrooms dirty, water or pee on floor. Really I don’t get it?? Then was split the bill, they charged me full ticket and charge my girlfriend the split! What?? Manager then fixed it and we were off. UghMore

We had a friendly and accommodating waiter and the food was decent with large portions, but what a view! You are so busy looking at the waves breaking and the birds perching on the rocks that everything is extra special!

I have never had such an experience anywhere. Are waiter was talking to the table of ladies next to us. The older lady says she had 6 children. The waiter says wow you must be fun and begins talking about the importance of orgasms. He...then talks about orgasms and how important they are to a woman’s health. He says to her wow you’ve been knocked up almost half your life. I was so taken back. Then he is talking to the table next to us with all young girls. He tells the girls not to get their panties in a bunch. I’ve been going to Nicks for over 20 years. I’ll never go back!!!!More

Old-fashioned type place with upholstered booths and photos on the wall from their opening in 1927. The hostess and servers were friendly and knowledgable.

We arrived at Nick's looking for a nice meal after a looong day in the car with kids that included a fussy toddler. I was a little nervous about how it would go, but the staff were super friendly and patient with us, seated us...fairly quickly, and brought over some crayons and things right away to help amuse the toddler. They were sooo nice. The restaurant has a cool, retro feel. Some say "dated," but I would say "vintage" in a good way. You can tell it's a local fixture that has some history. We tried prime rib and lobster ravioli, and both were very good. Kids menu items were above average, and our burger fan said the cheeseburger was the best she'd ever had! I would love to go back if we are ever in the area again!More

We went to Nick's while vacationing in Pacifica. Fish and Chips were the best we've ever had. Service was excellent as was the view. Will definitely return.

Good food, great ocean views in a family owned restaurant. You could tell this was a local favorite. Next time I’m going to get the crab sandwich. We stumbled in for breakfast which was hot and fresh. A must see if visiting the area!

Located on the waterfront. Decor a bit dated and old. Staff was welcoming and waiter excellent. Very noisy as everyone seemed to be using their outdoor voices. Food of acceptable quality but not exceptional, particularly for the price.

We had heard a lot of good things about Nick's. I took my HS best friend over for an early lunch to celebrate our 50 years of friendship. We arrived early and took a lot of photos by the shore. The restaurant was full, but...the staff was very efficient and attentive. Food was excellent! Hope to return again someday.More

Not sure why this place is rated so highly. Only thing with that rating is the view. The kitchen door is open and the place looks filthy. Bathroom about the same. Doesn’t seem like cleaning or maintenance are high on the list here. An expensive...crab cake sandwich, mostly bread. An underripe tomatoe slice and I guess they couldn’t afford a piece of lettuce. Fries were soggy and over salted. But the server was quite friendly.More

This was our first time at Nick's and we really enjoyed it. Jim was our server and he made our meal a memorable experience. He was witty and knowledgeable. We shared a crab sandwich and the seared scallops. The sandwich was delicious with a generous...portion of fresh crab. The scallops were good but not as good as the sandwich. We had a booth with an ocean view, it was perfect.More
