I've been looking for a Mexican food place close to me, unfortunately this is not the one for me (Eastvale) I was very disappointed. The food was cold, cheese not melted at all. Chile in the chile relleno was uncooked and was too salty. All...sauces were runny as if watered down. Beans and rice were not authentic (no flavor) The sauce on the red enchilada was as if they just added chili powder to ketchup and then watered it down. It was also very pricey for what you get and I even used a coupon. The only thing my husband and I liked were the chips. (Salsa was runny too) Needless to say, I'm still looking for a good Mexican restaurant.More

I live in Ontario,CA. and when prompted to write another restaurant review, I came across Si Como No Mexican Restaurant. All of the reviews were very complimentary to the restaurant, but the last review was from December 2015. I found out today that the restaurant...is still in business, so I just had to go there to see what everyone else was bragging about. I was surprised to see that it was tucked in the corner of a little strip mall where my dining partner has used this particular nearby bank branch (at times) for years. We used to come to this area quite often and hadn't noticed this little gem that has been in business for 20 years. You order at the counter, and they bring your food to the table. It had plenty of seating in the mid afternoon today. It was Taco Tuesday all day today, but we opted to try other dishes. They also have breakfast available all day. There is a small salsa bar up at the counter also. I ordered the ala carte chicken taquitos, which were 3 good sized taquitos along with lettuce, tomato and tasty guacamole. They were delicious and quite filling for me. It looks like you have to purchase chips extra unless you get a combo plate, which includes rice, beans and chips (on the plate). My dining partner ordered the Macho Combo plate, which was one Chile relleno, one hard shelled beef taco and one cheese enchilada with red sauce, along with the rice, beans and chips. The Chile relleno came on a separate plate and was large and had cheese oozing out of it with each bite. (I did taste it, and it was so good). The rest of the combo, I was told, was very tasty, too. It was a lot of food for $9.39 on the Macho Combo plate, so leftovers were taken home. I will definitely be a returning customer. Great food!More

Some of the freshest Mexican food you can find. The Menudo is AWESOME! Made daily. The Wife & I haven't tried all of the dishes yet but we will. Grab a cold beer or a glass of wine and enjoy. Easy access, too. Just off...of the 60 freeway on Grove. The only down side is that they open at 9:00am.More

I was in Ontario over a recent weekend while attending both days of the Chino Air Show. After searching for a good Mexican restaurant on Yelp, I was drawn to "Si Como No", an unassuming little storefront in an unremarkable strip mall. I had unwittingly...passed the restaurant several times, going to and from the airshow, without realizing it contained a Mexican restaurant. What a find! I quite reasonably consider myself an aficionado of chiles rellenos, having consumed them many, many times in the homes of Mexican-American families and dozens of restaurants in the 40 years I have spent in Texas, California and Colorado. "Si, Como No" serves absolutely the best fried chiles rellenos I have ever consumed in a restaurant, anywhere, anytime. They are almost as good as the absolute best I have ever had, which were made with loving care by my Mexican-American girlfriend in Palo Alto in the 80's, and by a retired Mexican-American nun next to whom I once lived in Colorado. They are made with asadero cheese, and served as I vastly prefer: flayed flat, grilled, stuffed with delicious asadero cheese, and pan (not deep) fried. I also ordered pozole, the presence of which on the menu told me I was in an unusually authentic Mexican restaurant. It is another Mexican delight I long ago discovered in a Mexican-American family's home, and enjoy whenever I can (not often enough). It is a savory, broth-based soup (like any caldo), the signature feature of which is hominy and some type of meat. This one contained large chunks of somewhat chewy beef (chuck roast?). It was very good, served with cabbage and superb corn tortillas, but not in the same league as the chiles rellenos. I liked "Si, Como No" so much I returned the next day for two chiles rellenos (1 ordered as a side) and an excellent enchilada. I was in no way disappointed, except that the sides (rice and beans) are quite ordinary. The corn tortillas they use or serve as a side are superb. I have not tried their fish tacos, which they advertise as their signature dish, and must therefore be excellent. Next time in the area, I will do so, but only if I am still hungry after a couple of chiles rellenos! The beer selection is good, and cheap, though I prefer Bohemia or Negra Modelo, which they do not offer. The young women who run the place are very sweet, efficient and kind.More

The casher brought my burrito out I ate half way through it was missing sour cream and avocado. I spoke with the casher and she apologized and brought out some sour cream and avocado. But I said never mine. So she said, she'll give me...another burrito. Wow she did I was so surprised. Great business action.. The dinner carnitas was good. Good public relations on there part I'll be a repeat customer. Check it out. It's not fancy or anything at first. Big Sign saying Mexican Food. See ya at my next Stop!👏More

It is a very small location in a strip mall, but don't let that fool you, it is very, very good Mexican! The Chili Rellenos was awesome, the pepper was flavorful and just a hint of spice while the batter/coating was cooked to perfection and...not doughy or all egg. We had different versions of their 'Wet' burritos and all were great! The shredded beef was cooked to perfection! It was not fatty, nor over cooked, nor over spiced, like I said, perfection! They know how to make great Mexican food. The service is good, they are very easy to talk to while ordering and accommodating to special orders! We will go again when in the area!More
