Order just one pancake!

We ordered breakfast for lunch and glad we did. Wife told me her bacon was crisp but mine wasn't so I didn't eat it. We had pancakes and they were too large for me. Eggs were done perfectly. Very busy place.

After a long drive from Yosemite National Park were were famished. It was 11pm and most restaurants were closed. I Googled the closest Denny's in Merced and ended up at this establishment. Our host was very personable and greeted us with a warm smile which was welcome after a long drive. Our waiter was very attentive and took our order on time. The menu has numerous selections but I settled for the pot roast with mashed potatoes and a side of vegetable and my wife ordered fish with two sides and a salad. Both came with garlic bread which is to die for. Other waitresses came around and asked if we wanted refills for our drinks. Overall it was great experience. Afterwards we continued to drive to Los Angeles with our satisfied belly! I also used their bathroom which was clean. This Denny's has great team work. Highly recommended.

I’ve NEVER ordered from Denny’s online before, for pickup. And based on this, I never will again. I mean, you tell me... do the pictures on the right (what we received) match up to their photoshopped cousins on the left??

The service at this Denny's was really good, the waitresses were attentive on both days that I ate dinner there, even though it was busy. The food was Denny's food, it's affordable and good.

Americans. How lucky are you?! A T-Bone steak with trimmings for 16 dollars? The raw meat would cost close to that in Britain. No need to bother with a starter or dessert. Also, an authentic diner experience, with unfussy, efficient service. Recommended.

Cold food and poor management response

Called in to break our journey to Yosemite and ordered dinner and drinks and although our waitress Delfina was pleasant the food when it eventually arrived was cold!! The salmon and tilapia was hot but the mash and broccoli were Luke warm at best ! When the manageress came over she said the air on in the kitchen was cold ,Rubbish. The veg was taken away and put in the microwave and blasted hot but crap,broccoli like mush ,we ate what we could and asked for the bill,no reduction for poor food and service,after complaining to our waitress she came back and said the manageress had applied a coupon to give $15% discount very poor based on what was sent out of the kitchen.should have refused to pay but couldn't be bothered based on the manageress attitude!

If you like one cup of coffee this is your place. Had to ask each and every time for a refill. Food was definitely not like the picture nor any picture of like item but the flavor was probably similar to the taste of the food stuck to the menu. Its a chain and usually the same, there is always the exception.

Breakfast at Dennys' Merced

Denny's is the chosen place for breakfast, this location is always jam pack, arm yourself with patience it's not small but the customers are by the ton, there is another one 10 minutes north of 99 frwy at Atwater but it's almost full too. still they are friendly and try to help you quickly. Kudos for that!

I had a very bad experience a couple of weeks ago at another Dennys, which I gave a bad review. Just a couple of days ago, I went to our local Dennys here in Merced, and like always, great service. I have been to many Dennys, and for most part, we have good experiences. Our Merced Dennys is always great, from management to waitresses, always very friendly and with a smile. We have seen many new employees, but the great service is always there. They are doing something right. Keep up the great work.

We were staying nearby and given a coupon for Denny's so went for breakfast, lovely bright and cheery atmosphere at this one and very friendly staff. We both chose from the 55+ menu and were pleasantly surprised by the portion size, truly lovely food and such good value at well under $20

We stopped in for breakfast on a Sunday morning -- apparently timing our visit before the early mass let out, because we were seated without a wait, but the line was out the door by the time we left. Service was prompt and friendly, and food was all tasty. The manager was obviously working hard to keep everything running smoothly. One of us particularly liked the "sticky bun pancakes." If you're into sweet food for breakfast, they're worth a try!

The food was good, the service was excellent. This was later in the evening, and the place was jammed. In spite of being crazy busy, the staff kept smiling and served us well. I highly recommend.

Always Superb

I travel almost every weekend from March through October. While on the road I eat many meals at Denny's Restaurants as they food is consistently good, the service is good, the facilities are clean. I spend about half a dozen weekends in Merced, California and eat Saturday and Sunday breakfasts at the Denny's in Merced. The weekends are always busy for breakfast, but the weekend manager is a whirling dervish who always remembers his customers, and never stops moving. The food servers always have a smile no matter how busy they are, and they are always polite and serve you promptly. In addition, no matter how busy they are, the restrooms are always immaculate. On my last stay, I remarked to the manager how impressed I was with how he managed the crowds, and his remark was that is was entirely due to the great crew he worked with. With an attitude like that it's no wonder that I would award that Denny's with ten stars.
