We had researched online for our visit in West Hollywood and decided to check this local Italian restaurant primarily due to the menu selection and review by CN Traveler online. Only until we arrived did we know what the challenges would be to first park...our car and then hope for a decent, safe table. It's a small place with limited seating and tight quarters; not the ideal setup for a covid restrictive environment. Still, it seemed worth the risk if we got in early dinner, which we did. Be prepared to give extra time for finding a parking location nearby. We finally did end up parking along a neighborhood street which appeared relatively safe. When we walked down the sidewalk to the front entrance, we noticed that in front of the restaurant was what we thought was some sort of construction blocking store front parking. In fact, it was their outdoor seating arrangement. We chose to sit inside. The tables were close together. Still, staff did their best to follow protocols at the time. Jon & Vinny's is known for their "spicy fusilli" but I chose the Kids Pomodoro. For the life of me, I can't think of why I did that. The pomodoro was very good though. I also had the heirloom tomato salad with shaved parmigiano which was also good. My wife had the Apple Salad with persimmons. She really enjoyed that, along with a spiraled zucchini side. All the food items were very good. I think we were just a little nervous about the smallness of the space under the circumstances. When restrictions are more lifted, we may return for another visit. By the way, inside the restaurant is a separate tiny wine shop. I took the opportunity to check it out. Of course, they sell wines that they also have offered in the restaurant. I can't say I was overly impressed with the selection though or the prices. The photos on their website give the impression that the wine shop is bigger than it really is.More

Don’t recommend eating here. It was the worst restaurant of our trip. The food was swimming in oil and very ordinary otherwise. Pasta was as if it was from the kid’s menu. And the bill came out to be the same as what we paid...at The Four Season. Service was even worse. It was as if she was doing us a favor by taking our order and bringing our food. Ungrateful with a side of attitude. There are plenty of other amazing restaurants in the area. Save your time and money and go somewhere else.More

You can eat in or outside or get a take away. Eating out is great as there are large heaters for cool evenings. The food is delicious and served speedily there is an extensive wine list or you can play corkage. The staff are friendly,...welcoming and really helpful.More

Popular Italian spot with takeout options. For this latest visit, we got takeout for a group of 5. The person who took the order tried telling us we needed 3 of each dish, which was overkill. We ended up 3 pizzas, 2 sets of meatballs,...2 sets of 3 different kinds of pizza, and 2 sets of burrata, and we had enough food leftover for a birthday party with 9 girls (though to be fair, we also got Kazu Nori for that birthday). In short, don’t feel obligated to over-order; even though portions appear smaller, the food is dense. You’ll be veeeeery full after a meal of Jon and Vinny’s. The spicy fussili was good when I had it at the Brentwood location, but it didn’t taste as spicy from this location. The white pizza is my favorite one; the crust is Neapolitan-style and the pizzas were cut in 6 slices, so it’s good for sharing. The meatballs are huge and come with grilled bread on the side. The burrata was standard. The food descriptions are pretty clear and there are vegetarian options available. Credit cards accepted. They do take reservations online for dine-in.More

We made reservation and had a wonderful Sunday lunch. It started with a delightful avocado toast and a refreshing, excellently seasoned crisp gem lettuce salad. Both the house made spaghetti in a tasty heirloom tomato sauce, and the spicy fusilli with delicious basil vodka sauce...were superb! The two thin-crusted pizzas that followed (Sarah super shroom, and creamy cheesy white lighting) were also fantastic. Our outdoor seating in one of the curbside wood cabanas that lined the sidewalk outside the restaurant was spacious, ideal for privacy and social distancing. James, our server, took very good care of us. Finding street parking was not too challenging on a Sunday.More

Great food, but the service makes you leave feeling unvalued and forgotten. Initial ordering + sit down went smoothly, but after that the server completely ignored / forgot about us. Food continued to be delivered as our order was fulfilled but nobody asked about food...quality, and they only delivered the first round of our multiple round wine flight. Was disappointing that we were forgotten and weren’t able to pair all of the great wine that is on offer with the amazing food. In the end we were comp’d for our non-arriving wine flights. It was appreciated but didn’t quite cover the less missed opportunity for great wine pairing and such amazing food.More
