It was not a long wait to get in and once we arrived, we were greeted warmly by the staff.
Choices for coffee was great although I'm more of a Coffee Americano myself and the amazing thing they do is fill your cup and the give you an additional small cup with extra coffee.
The choice of pastries was outstanding and we liked the place so much we came back the next morning.

This is a great location for Intelligentsia Coffee from Chicago. All the typical coffee options plus a really nice selection of bakery goods. Friendly service. Surprisingly large seating area inside plus a small patio area out front. Average prices for the area.

Place had a line for coffee. I mean for 2 coffees and one plain croissant was $16. Coffee was ok but nothing special tasting. They do add special touches like heat the milk up for you and make a design in your coffee.

I should have known better than to walk into this place for a cup of tea. I’m not impressed. Over $6.50 for the least desirable to go cup of pishy swill water excuse for black tea I’ve ever consumed.
I wouldn’t be so upset with my Intelligensia experience if it was a reasonable price but to pay that much and get a professionally prepared cup of weak, under-steeped tea is an insult. Don’t charge top shelf prices for something you obviously don’t specialise in.

The coffee always tastes a little better from this space. There is more seating but on a weekday, it was hard to find a perch. People are friendly and the queue moves surprisingly quickly. All the milk options available.

Great open cool space for morning coffee with minimalist interesting decor like the bike hanging on the wall all the cool paraphernalia for avid coffee fans. Wait staff are very professional and friendly - I've never had a bad beverage there over the 5 years I've been visiting LA. Even though I'm currently not having coffee the fluffy Chai is just as good.
People queue patiently awaiting the $5 coffee's but its more that worth it. Food is delicious and they offer a variety of options for hungry morning bellies. There's also free WiFi available which is handy for visitors...
Its open pretty late as well for us thats great as we are not big partiers - so our party time is always in Intelligiencia - don't judge us lol...

Joining the queue, always a good sign, we appreciated the enhancing space it is. With openness in white and interesting minimalist additions including a bicycle on the wall.
We ordered tasty offerings and adjourned to the outside wooden stepped area. It was grand relaxing in the early sunshine enjoying the fare and ambiance.

I beat the queue on a Thursday morning and found the latte delicious. The goat cheese and lox sandwich (from Mr. Holmes Bakehouse), on the other hand, was seriously lacking--the texture the bread was very dry, and the refrigerated case temperature did nothing to enhance the product. I just nibbled on the lox and left the rest. Maybe it was to same day fresh?

Perfectly decent coffee shop, but not worth queuing for. My cappuccino was velvety, but also small, lukewarm and quite expensive. Good range of pastries, friendly staff.

I'm not even sure you're allowed in here if you're not with a Macbook... Jokes a side - but this is where the hip and trendy come to work rather than going to the closest WeWork. It's kinda fun to watch people try to get a seat actually. It's always super busy and finding a seat isn't easy. Coffee.. We'll all has already been said. What I personally love is that they serve great salads from Postive Food Co. My Fave is Roasted Cauliflower and Lemon Tahini. Perfect for a nice take-away healthy lunch.

Last time I wrote a review for this place, I complained about the prices, but really, the lattes here are, bar none, the best I’ve had, and the reason there is always a line. Yes, they are expensive, but having their coffee paired with one of their awesome pastries is just a little bit of heaven. I just won’t pay for mediocre big chain coffee anymore, so this is my treat when I’m in Venice.

I've enjoyed pastry and coffee here. Coffee a bit overpriced. Their brand is featured in other local dining spots.

Venice
Venice has always danced to its own beat as the epicenter of bohemian culture in Los Angeles. Along the boardwalk there are street performers and local craftsmen selling their wares. Original paintings, souvenirs, and jewelry are on display. Crowds of visitors marvel at the sites while weightlifting enthusiasts pump iron in plain view, and skateboarders do their tricks around the skate park. All of it happens under the warm California sun with sprawling views of sand and sea. Heading east, the main drags of Abbot Kinney Boulevard and Main Street are lined with boutique shops, some major retail stores, art galleries and restaurants. Here the ambiance is more relaxed and upscale than the frenetic boardwalk area. Venice is a mostly walkable (and certainly bikeable) neighborhood, full of areas to explore.
