Great Pizza and Italian Food in The old Town of Nice! Meat Balls and pizza recommended! Also great service and really good prices.

No matter where you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, you owe yourself a trip to Hayward to have a meal at Acqua E Farina. Not only is the food fantastic (try their lasagna), but they a family-run business who has put their hearts...and financial soul into making this a first-rate restaurant. Just recently, they were given the chance to provide outdoor seating for the first time since the COVID restrictions were put in place in Alameda County. The number of people that showed up and were willing to wait for a seat said it all. This is a gem of a restaurant that needs to be supported by the entire Bay Area and not just those of us in the Hayward area. And for those in the area, they do have take-out meals and their prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of the food they serve. Please give them a try and support our local family businesses. You won't regret it.More

It’s a great spot - a little dark, but great food and service. Not too huge portions. A friend joked that it’s romantic.

Don't be put off by the exterior. What a lovely classic family Italian restaurant. Pasta was excellent (Capellini that was al dente!) Service attentive but not intrusive. Excellent wine selection.

Excellent food served in a great interior. Look at he various rooms. Gives a nice outdoor feel to an indoor place.

This place has some great specials with good service. Nice little bar. A good go to place. Pricing a little on the upped end but worth it to me.

We were returning home to Contra Costa from the Monterey area. Knowing the electric power would be out for some time due to the fires we decided to find a restaurant in Hayward on our way. My wife spotted the somewhat hidden entrance to Acqua...E Farina so we decided to try it out and were happy we did. It was early in the evening but there were already a number of diners inside which was a good omen. We were very pleased with our meals and the service and it's an attractive restaurant inside and larger than it appears at first. I just wish it was a little closer to our home!More

I recently had an assignment in Hayward, California and consulted Trip Advisor for Italian restaurant suggestions. Aqua E Farina was excellent. I ordered the gnocchi with meat sauce and it was superb. Not to mention my Gray Goose martini! I highly recommend this restaurant for...great Italian food.More

Bigger on the inside! 1st visit for our anniversary and we were surprised at the roomy and elegant interior. Excellent service from front door to check out. But it is the food we were most impressed with for the fine dining presentation of the familiar,...large-portion style of my family Italian dining. Recommend splitting one or two appetizers and an entree. Down to the delicious desserts, we had a great dining celebration and experience!More

My husband and I chose to have dinner here, based on ratings, to celebrate my birthday. We were not disappointed. The food is indescribably delicious and the portions are immense! I started with the cream of cauliflower soup and my husband had the minestrone soup....Both soups were wonderful. Then, I had the tortellini alla panna and my husband had the fettucine pesto. Both were rich and savory. For dessert we shared the spumoni and the panna cotta. Wow! We were full before we ordered the desserts but we were glad we ordered them anyway. They were so, so delicious. The service was very good. The only complaint is the acoustics are bad if you want to have an intimate dinner for two. We will definitely return.More

We went to Acqua E Farina for a Mothers Day dinner. This is a rather spacious restaurant where you can still make last minutes reservations. They have a special menu for events like Mothers Day. Shortened but food gets served pretty quick. The ambience is...nice but a little bit too dark. The food is really good. Some of the best Italian in the greater Hayward area. I recommend this restaurant especially if you need to make a last minute reservation.More
