This place was recommended to me by a friend and when I got my food, I did not eat. The restaurant was very dirty, so we decided to sit outside. The food came out and it was dripping in grease. The lady who served her...food was chewing gum with her mouth wide open over the top of our food, and when she set our food down, she just kept chewing the gum…mouth all open.More
We were greeted warmly, and had a fun time joking with our waitress. All of the food was delicious: cod sandwich, crab louie, seafood cioppino, ham&cheese. No complaints.
Had dinner with my brother and our spouses. Have not seen each other in 2 years and we’re happy to talk. Had 2 drinks with lobster dinner and appetizers but when I ordered one more drink to split waiter never came back with it. When...asked he said they were out of the drink which was unbelievable. On further questioning we were told we were too loud but really didn’t talk that loud although we may be slightly hard of hearing and just were happy to see each other again. Food was ok but not great. Obviously waiter lost his $40 tip and we went back to our hotel The Bar Harbor Inn and had our drink which overlooked the water and was a much nicer way to end the evening. I fault the waiter for not having the courtesy of asking us to lower our voices ( they’re was never any swear words) just old stories retold. Very unprofessional and insulting. Do not recommend this place for anyone that wants to converse with friends!More
Had a great dinner at this bayside restaurant and bar. It is very casual with good service. The salmon was fabulous. My husband. Enjoyed the fish and chips. Cold beer and great drinks. Perfect for a really good casual meal.

I hadn't written a Tripadvisor review for a long time, but after eating the crab sandwich at Ketch Joanne, I thought "I have to write about this". It was the best meal I've had in a long time. The crab was fresh. It was lighted...dressed. The bread was toasted just right. It was so delicious. We live far away, but we came back after a few weeks for more, and my wife ordered it too. During our first visit, she ordered some fried seafood, which she liked, but not as much as my sandwich.More
Excellent huevos rancheros! I highly recommend this spot for breakfast. I have been coming for years. Great location. The interior decor is unique - wood stove and dark wood panels. Lots of character!
Don't have breakfast! It was Cold Crab Omelette! Potatoes and Bread too! However good Bloody Mary 😜
We had dinner here one night. I had the seafood trio. It was delicious! They had many different items on the menu. Even for my picky son! The service was great! I Because of Covid we could not eat there. Which I would have loved...to do. Not the restaurant's fault. But they included everything with the meal to eat.More
We picked up lunch on a Friday afternoon. We ordered clam chowder and a crab sandwich. The sandwich was full of delicious crab. The cup of chowder was very flavorful. The service was very quick.
We had a good take out lunch from Ketch Joann. We took our food to Half Moon bay State Park and enjoyed it. My husband had a shrip- crab sandwich. I loved their egg salad sandwich, We also had onion rings.and fries. Our drink was...ice teas. Service was good.More
We stopped by to pick up fish and chips and take them out to the harbor to enjoy on a sparkling winter day. They've set it up so that you order at one door (outside) and pick up at the other door. All of the...outdoor tables are blocked off and unavailable for use, but you can take your meal out to a bench or just sit on the ground as we did. They use eco-friendly packaging - no plastic except for the fork and the little containers for the sauces. The deep fried fish was hot and tasty, though the fries were bit a soggy by the time we got to start eating them. It was a little pricey for lunch, but we rarely eat out these days and I'm glad to support any local restaurants during these trying times. I would definitely drive over the hill to visit this again on a pleasant day.More
