Great food, music and service!! Because it is a couple of blocks from the highway it was not too crowded! We were seated immediately. The food came out hot and fresh! Great quality. We had the chowder in the sourdough bread bowl, fish & Chips,...fish sandwich and a couple of tacos!! All excellent!!More

We are a group of childhood friends and we came here for dinner. No reservations are given, but we wanted to eat outside and that was not a problem. It is a casual but nice place. The servers were extremely pleasant and the service was...good. I had the prawn salad and it was absolutely delicious. If I had my choice I would have come back here the next night also, it was that good!More

We are touring half moon bay for two days and stopped here for lunch. Seafood pasta and shrimp tacos were amazing. Service was great, and price was reasonable. Highly recommend if you are looking for good seafood.

This is a great old restaurant. The food is perfect, and it is very pleasant. It is hard to find, because it is in a small way that looks like a factory and then turn right. There’s not a lot of people, so the food...fast arrived our table. I think the shrimp taco is a little bit sour, they add something I think.More

All these years, can't believe I have missed this restaurant. I believe this to be a "locals" kind of restaurant. Accessing the parking lot (which is quite limited) and finding the entrance to the restaurant were both a wee bit challenging. Once inside / outside,...seating was readily available. They had both covered and uncovered tables w/heat lamps provided. The host and server were both very nice. Starters - Brussel Sprouts, which sadly was all crispy outer leaves no real solid sprouts in the bunch. Artichoke Soup - was very disappointing. It was quite watery and tasted mostly of chicken brother. Hard pressed to find anything that tasted like Artichoke. None of us could eat it. Coconut Fried Shrimp - which was really good, but the "5" shrimp were really small. Entrees: Fish Sandwich - l will say it was piled high with 2 very large fish patty's. But was flavorless. Bun was dry, and fish was topped with lettuce and tomato. Not very good and pretty unappetizing. It did not meet this description as pulled from their website ~ Tempura cod filet, dill, tartar sauce, confit garlic, grilled marinated red bell peppers 2nd Entree - Salmon BLT which the other party seemed to enjoy and the Salmon was plentiful. We all wish we'd chosen some of the more flavorful items folks recommended on Yelp. None of our choices were recommended. Wish I could give this place a better review, but for the price and quality, we will not be returning :-(More

Reasonably-priced seafood in an eclectic restaurant. We sat at a table in the bar. Ceviche sounded great and my partner loves clam chowder, so we started with both. Very good, in fact they deserve bragging rights for the ceviche—some of the best I’ve had! It...was a large serving, so to save room for fish & chips, which they DO brag about, I took half of it back to our hotel. I don’t order fish & chips often, so I can’t say if they deserve #9 in the country but it was very good.More

Ok, kinda cute kitschy decor, we were hopeful. Pleasant servers, tho odd to be asked if both of us wanted water. We both had pretty drinks, one was medium good & served with an orchid which was nice, the other was below average, small &...served without ice. We started with artichoke soup & it tasted like cream of chicken soup, no detectable artichoke flavor. Cioppino was tasty but the butter clams were very old tasting although the cod was very good. The garlic bread was yummy. My dish, the scallop salad was good except the scallops were so small (about the size of a nickel) that they were almost a side note of the salad. The greens & strawberries were delicious and lots of pecans, a little weird to get a hard chunk in the midst of pecans, that was the bacon bits, old, hard & prefab, would have been better without & I love bacon, just not like that. All in all it was pretty disappointing when one expects good fresh food around here. We would not recommend despite so many glowing reviews.More

This is on the main road into Half Moon Bay, but the looks are deceiving as it is much bigger in side than you'd think. There is also a nice patio out the back for outdoor dining in good weather. The fish we had was...very fresh and the service pleasant. Definitely worth a return trip.More

We ate outside for a nice lunch meal, where the tables were separated well, and the staff wore masks. The food was well-presented and almost too pretty to eat. I had the prawn salad which was delicious and filling, and my spouse had the Salmon...BLT with avocado on a foccacia bun. Both of us were satisfied and had no room for dessert, unfortunately. The restaurant does charge a fee for credit and debit cards, but that is understandable.More

Ate here for our main meal at lunch. It was fairly empty in the outside eating area, tho they made it a pleasant garden. It has a view of the parking lot, but the seating area is pleasant, tho the chairs are uncomfortable and I...ended up with my back being a bit sore. The tea was good, but for $4 I expect refills of hot water, which I didn't get. The server was pleasant. I ate the Pacific Wrap, which I thought was very good, and filling. I had a cup of Artichoke soup, which was rather bland tasting, and too much food for me to enjoy a dessert. My spouse had a Salmon BLT, which was filling but very good. Overall, it was a nice lunch, but I don't think we would go back immediately, as there are other restaurants to try out.More

Mediocre food and slow service. We finally had to ask the bartender if we had a server and when the server finally arrived he didn’t seem to care as we had to flag him down sever times for things. The food also took a really...long time and it was okay. My 13yo son did love his CA club Sandwich on focaccia bread though.More

Stopped by here to grab lunch while visiting HMB in late May. Minimal wait to get seated. Place had most tables occupied and was quite lively. Pretty spacious inside. Interesting decor. Had the Surf and Turf, which was New York steak and 5 good sized...grilled prawns. Steak was cooked perfectly and prawns were very flavorful. Wife did a mix of tacos- mahi mahi, cod and coconut prawns. Pretty delicious. Service was prompt and friendly. The only thing I didnt care for was the 3% charge for using a credit card?? Overall, we enjoyed our lunch here and will come back.More
