When we arrived at this B&B outside of Lassen Volcanic National Park I saw the cute Saint Bernard Stuffed Animals in the windows. When we opened the large door we arrived in a nice room off to the side. We were greeted by the quirky innkeeper. At first I was reserved about my experience, and then I realized that the innkeeper is really nice and very helpful. As the evening continued we were served a dinner that was so amazing! We had steak, and that steak tasted so good. The rest of the meal was enjoyable too. After we relaxed in the sitting area we decided to retire to our room. The next morning was just as enjoyable. We were served a very large breakfast that was delicious too. I have stayed at many B&B's, and this place was so enjoyable that I plan to return.

Just Too Good.

I may regret writing this review because I would like to keep it to myself. It is a well kept secret, but if you have a chance to visit Fall River Mills this is the place to stay. Not easy to find or make reservations but well worth the effort. A dated B&B that the owners have done a super job on keeping up. Furnished with antiques and carpet through out. 3 common baths, kitchen and sitting area. You can feel the history as you walk down the hall. One of the cleanest places I have seen. Comes with breakfast the next morning as well. All of this being said, remember, this is an old building and not a full service hotel...so if you are looking for luxury this is not for you. This is a place to sit relax and enjoy the view from the sitting area. It's a gem I wish I would have found sooner. There are motels in this town and I have stayed at them all, but the Fall River Inn is just to good.

It is clean but a bit pricey. Understandable as this is a seasonal place to stay. Reservations are recommended. I liked this place and the food and service was very good.

Terrific breakfast

Looks can be deceiving. There is a small short-order cafe, with booths, adjacent to the Inn's restaurant. The breakfast served here is basic fare prepared perfectly. The various menu selections include various additions. The eggs and the hash browns are superb. The coffee is not "gourmet" but is good. If you're going to be in the Fall River Mills area, this is the place for breakfast.

A Hidden Gem

This restaurant is not on the main street through town, and slightly hidden next to an auto-parts store. But if you're lucky enough to find it, you will most certainly be glad you did! The motif is that of antiques, which most have price tags on. If you fall in love with it, you can probably purchase it. Be sure to order the small portion of food unless you are really hungry. I ordered a "small" biscuit and sausage gravy. The approximate 5" diameter biscuit was smothered in a most delectable sauce, and covered my plate. My husband was brave enough to order a full breakfast, and barely ate the rest of the day. If I didn't live so far away, I'd be eating here at least once a week!
