Very nice place. Clean, servers were nice, and the sushi was very good. I would definetly recommend this place if you like sushi. They also have menu items other than sushi! I had fried calamari as well as cream cheese puffs.

Well when we arrived and I saw 50% off sushi I knew I shouldn’t have let the hubby pic!! The sushi was meh. Heavy on the cream cheese kind of place. I can get through most dinners, but when the bus person was clearing a...table into a large cart 1 foot from me, I knew I’d never go back!! More like fast food sushi. Also I don’t like that my son ordered the teriyaki chicken Bento box and asked for a side salad and a side of rice and the woman didn’t explain to my 14-year-old son it already came to that. Rather she just served him a salad and then a side of rice and then came the meal with a salad and a side of rice. She knew exactly what was going on. She also forgot to put in one of my kids meals so I was not impressed with the service in general at all.More

This was a delightful surprise. Just didn’t know what to expect from the name. But it was worth a try. Sat outside under the heater. Lots of customers so food took a while to come, but it was delicious when it came. Waitress was helpful...and friendly.More

I wasn’t sure what to expect, since this place is in a little strip mall next to a grocery store. We brought our kids here because they wanted sushi, and we weren’t even planning to eat, but we saw some of the dishes and looked...at the menu and decided to order too. Everything we ordered was delicious, and the staff is friendly. We’re planning to go back again before we leave town.More

Nice Place! Nice workers, good food and nice atmosphere. My only critique is that they didn't bring our food out at the same time; I had to wait a while for my food to come out (so did my sister). But I'd recommend this place.

We headed in for what we thought would be a light meal to tide us over until a formal dinner at a steakhouse. We wound up enjoying so much food and the surprising birthday serenade that we only had space that evening for bar food...at the Park Hyatt. Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty. We tried a number of different rolls that we’re 50 percent off. Loved the Star Wars Roll. All were very good. Service was great. Small place and easy to find.

Years ago, this Japanese restaurant use to be great but now it’s terrible. They might be having financial trouble as the quality of meat and the quantity is now sub par in bento boxes as are the sauces, dressings atop of items like on salad,...chicken, in bento boxes. Also, the “dinner” meals are served American style just on a sad dinner plate with looking drab, unappetizing and tasking odd, w little good flavor instead of in the traditional bento boxes serving pieces that make a Japanese experience more fun and less American. When I asked for my “dinner” to be taken back, the server claimed I was trying to con them into another meal for free. I said I would pay for both the (horrible) dinner and the new bowl of miso and some Goza, but she treated me poorly and with suspicion. I hadn’t eaten all day and was starving, willing to pay for bad meal and thought how could they go wrong w miso and Goza. Bad attitude. Upon paying she did give 10% off realizing if I didn’t object to paying for both I must be telling truth about meal. Too bad, use to be fun, pleasant, with good food. Our friends stopped going their well before us! We will never return.More

We got there right before a bunch of people came in so we were lucky. We ordered 5 rolls. 3 of the rolls were 50% off, which they could have just given the price so that was weird. The Kuchi roll and the roll with...the crawdads were the best, and they were full price rolls. The one drawback was my youngest, age 4 was not going to eat sushi so we asked if they could give us plain noodles. He got them, at a price of $10.95; for noodles. Only complaint and we were sat by the ice cream cooler so I had a hard time getting out of the booth. Sushi was delicious and would definitely eat this again if we ever happened to be in Carlsbad again.More

We stopped in for dinner on the 4th July. It wasn't too busy but the menu was quite impressive. Much of it is 50% off. We enjoyed several rolls - Las Vegas Roll, Shrimp Tempura Roll, Philly Roll, and super fresh nigiri of Albacore, Salmon...(Like BUTTER!) and of course Tuna. Everything was delicious and timely, and when they found out it was our son's birthday they did this awesome birthday song with strobe lights and glow in the dark b'day hat. All the servers came over and sang their special song. It was fantastic and they gave him a yummy dessert, on the house. Can't wait to back!More

I went there not knowing there was 50% on the rolls, so it made the meal very cheap so I can’t complain about the value. However, I found the sushi really average and the edamame not really good.

In the area with work. They had many rolls half priced. With a great cucumber and side salad I was full. Only drank water with my volcano roll so my bill was $16 bucks. Fairly cheap eats in this area. Good service and friendly staff....Give it a try. It was pretty busy and the locals recommended it.More
