Must try restaurant in Cagayan de Oro city
My friends and I went here during lunch (peak time) and were seated immediately.
Ambiance is good - recommended for big groups as they have ample seating. Also recommended for those who are fond of taking pictures. Servers were also friendly and accommodating.
But this resto's greatest selling value is their food - sufficient serving, delicious at affordable price points.
Must try: humba, beef randang, tiyula itum

Knew about this restaurant ‘coz we ate at Ricardo’s by Cucina Higala in Bukidnon, i surprisingly liked the Bamboo rice and the serving is too much that we had to bring home some. What we liked the most is their best seller sizzling binaki, topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel!!!! I hope I can take home some but the experience will never be the same. 😩✨

We wanted all authentic Mindanao food and all were recommended were tasty and good. Family-style for sharing. We ordered Chicken pastil a Maguindanao food, humba a CDO slow cooked pork, beef randang a Marawi inspired beef stew, sinuglaw, suwan suwan Sulu archipelago celebratory dish. There was a promotion during our visit, thus we had the sizzling binaki with caramel sauce for only 8Pesos. Kudos to the staff, Elias, for the good recommendation and service!

maybe it was the attentive service, the nice restrooms, the ambiance or the location that earned this restaurant a top score for their customers. there must be something in their food that has kept their patrons reasons to come back frequently for more. although i find the pork in their sinigang needing more tenderness, i would favour its taste more. the beef steak, vegetable salad and steamed pompano were all prepared right.
but here's a thing: had there been a green mango shake available that night, i would have given it a perfect rating.
never mind the house fly that escaped its way inside the place.

The place is truly instagrammable. I don't know about the daylight view but the night view is very nice.
For the food, I would rate it from 6-8 points. Some suited our taste, some is so so, but overall it's good.
The crew are nice however there are shortcomings on service. This might be due to short on manpower. Only one person is serving 1 shared dining/function room so there are delays on our requests and the reason we have to repeatedly remind him/her.
In conclusion, it's still satisfying. A good place to dine.

The dining experience in Cucina Higala was really great. The Pork Humba is a MUST TRY as it is a very sweet, savory, and melts in your mouth pork dish. Chicken Pastil is a level up of the typical pastil that we are used to. The Tiyula Itum is a very interesting dish that you should taste.
The service team are accommodating and very knowledgeable with the food items that they are offering.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and made to feel like valued guests. The staff was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. FOOD 10/10 - it was so delicious and really filling.
SERVICE 10/10 - waiters and servers were always on point and catered to our every need. Smiling and very very approachable.

Food was good and worthy for its price. Everyone was very accommodating from the security to the waiters. They were so considerate knowing we dont know how to speak their dialect and adjusted to speaking in tagalog. Wifi is also available so you can browse while waiting for your food. Had the pleasure of dining at Cucina Higala , and I must say, it was a delightful experience from start to finish. The restaurant's ambiance is warm and inviting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that sets the stage for a memorable meal.
Tiula Itom was the BOMB! The meat was very tender and it melts in your mouth 🤤🤤 Karekare and the Blue marlin soup DIVINE!🤤🤤
Not only was the food exceptional, but the service was also top-notch-, special mention to Sir Leonel!. The staff was attentive and knowledgeable, offering thoughtful recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of exceptional. 🥳🥰
The Sizzling Binaki was equally impressive, It was decadent and indulgent, providing the perfect conclusion to an outstanding meal.
How I wish you'll expand to Davao in the near future 😇

Earlier this evening in Cucina Higala, I experienced a remarkable fine dining journey rooted in Filipino heritage. The ambiance was warm and sophisticated, with a touch of traditional elegance. The dishes were a celebration of local flavors, each plate beautifully presented, from the savory Sizzling Bulalo to the rich and flavorful Sinuglaw. The service was impeccable, with the staff knowledgeable about the menu and attentive to every detail. Each bite was a fusion of tradition and modern flair, making the experience not just a meal, but a cultural and culinary delight. Cucina Higala truly stands out.

Flavorful food, attentive staff, and a cozy and welcoming ambiance that can only be attributed to Filipino hospitality. My colleagues and I adored all that this restaurant had to offer. We tried nearly all the heritage dishes on the menu, all of which were cooked to perfection (of course your mileage may vary). Tried this place on our first night at Cagayan de Oro and loved it so much that we kept coming back throughout our 4-day trip. Will certainly be a staple to my future CDO trips!

The venue is very perfect and suitable for costumers, whether it may be breakfast, lunch, dinner or any kinds of celebration with ur friends or families. The employees has a very pleasant attitude and approachable making every costumers comfortable enabling them to enjoy their meals. The food is very good as well and I can tell that they really do cook and serve it with love.
