Food was great! Overall service is good given that it's already dinner time. Bicol's spicy delicacy was on point. You should also try their Chili Ice Cream! 👌

1. Food - we tried their chicken, bicol express, tinapa rice and sili ice cream. The food was good but I bet you can still find a better/legit Bicol food anywhere else. On the bright side, I love their tinapa rice. I’ve tasted different sili...ice cream around Legazpi, theirs is the best and creamiest! It was really spicy! 2. Ambience - it’s quite hot. We find a spot near an electric fan. 3. Service - we’re too disappointed. They were slow and inattentive. They don’t serve water, unless you requested so. Upon request, it’s not ice cold. We still need to request for ice cubes.More

We stayed at Bicol for 3 days, and we ate here 4x due to bicol express, laing and ither native cuisine! They offer different kinds of foods aside from they hot and spicy cuisine.A lot of foods and people eating here. The only thing I didn’t like...was their service, too slow due to lots of customers. Price?reasonable price and food are to share.they have solo order but can eat 2 persons.we’ve tried their hot uragon ice cream.OMG,really so spicy but superb yummy.though spicy, you will still taste for more.they have a ready milk on the side to help in case you cant help it .More

Had a vacation with my family and this is one of the restaurants we visited in Bicol. We all loved the authentic Bicolano food especially the Sili ice cream. I didn't think it was possible but it tastes really good! Thankful that we listened to...the suggestion of a new friend😊More

I had low expectations when we visited Legazpi. To see the perfect cone Mayon Volcano was our only interest to visit. We checked in at The Marison hotel, new & nice with excellent customer service. We were hungry after our delayed flight. Hotel staff recommended...Colonial 1 located inside the SM Legazpi mall. The restaurant was open seating. Their menu was not overwhelming, with emphasis on their specialties. We ordered their Laing, Bicol Express, Tinapa rice, and their special Sili ice cream for dessert. The Sili ice cream, level 2 was sweet on my tastebuds, but mildly hot in my throat which was very interesting. All dishes were delicious. Prices were very reasonable with Sr citizen discounts. Service was excellent. Our server was quick and attentive to our needs. I would highly recommend this restaurant to my friends and family when visiting Legazpi. Bon AppetitMore

We really enjoyed the good here so much so that we visited twice! The buko chop suey was really good, with real coconut flesh. The fried rice we got was also good. The portion sizes were good enough for 4 people. I also tried the...baby back ribs which were ok - half of it was fat! The sili icecream was really interesting, and is a must to try when you are in Legazpi. Try their special shakes too - the pili nut one was pretty good.More

I was here eons ago and I must say the experience is the same only a bit expensive now. Their tinapa rice is still good and the viands are tasty. They added more choices and expanded their sili ice cream range. It was just a...slow customer service probably because it was dinner rush hour.More

Got curious with all the Sili ice cream talk and it was worth it. There are other flavors too that we tried (Pili, Cacao and Tinutong na Kanin) it was yummy too.

It was April 19 when we arrived in Legaspi. Our host, who is my son’s friend picked us up at the airport and brought us to our hotel to drop our luggage then he brought us at the Gaisano Mall. He told us it is...a must for us to taste the chili ice cream, our curiousity drove us more to taste this intriguing dessert. And so we went to 1st Colonial Grill, we ordered fish sinigang and laing and then the much awaited chili ice cream. We also tried a variety of flavor, 3 flavors for each one of us (my husband, son, my niece and me), we exchanged taste of each flavor and oh so great, each flavor brings us somewhere I cannot describe, it is so delicious and literally, I became forgetful... after we were done eating, we went out of the mall that I didn’t notice I forgot to bring our umbrella out of the restaurant.. I was in euphoria that time... I cannot forget the taste of that one-of-a-kind chili flavor. That first order of Level 1 chili ice cream made us come back the 2nd night and again we ordered variety of flavor and we leveled up to level 2 of the intriguing chili ice cream.. we went back the 3rd and last time on our last night in Legaspi to savor their food and again for the last time, i tasted their ice cream and made a promiseto my self that we will definitely come back to Legaspi and dine again and again at 1st Colonial Grill! Thank you for an unforgetable experience... thank you for your sumptuous food and cordial staff! See you soonMore

We have asked the locals for a place where we can sample Bicolano cuisine and they recommended 1st colonial. It was a good choice as I got to taste one of the best Laings i've ever tried. We also tried the tinutong na manok, pinangat,...and od course Bicol express. All had gata in them, of course. A must try for tourists!More

I haven't tried that outlet in Naga but messed up food is not impossible. I only tried their branches in Legazpi City and frankly I am not aware of the dishes. I guess management's attention should be called as I often do... More
