Good foods and fair prices. Try it if you can find one close by. I see more stores opening up in Cebu City now.

I have eaten in many Max’s outlets. They are a chain of restaurants. I am a vegetarian. That limits my choices in such restaurants. But I love their limited dishes every time I eat there. Recently, in one Max’s at Legazpi (not sure if this review is under that one), I requested for their “Spicy Tofu Rice Bowl”. I loved it. I requested them to delete the egg and oyster sauce from that dish, and just use soya sauce. It was very good. The kalamansi (without sugar) was as expected.

Came to Max's Ayala Mall branch as suggested by my wife. We were welcomed and seated by the Guest Relations staff and was offered a Menu Card instantly. Food was great however service was a bit slow and have to make follow up requests on our orders. Staff were a bit overwhelmed by the number of diners and unable to assist on time.

We enjoyed Max's more than once while visiting Lagazpi City. The service was excellent and the food was over the top. The sisig was flavorful and of course, the spring rolls just made the meal better. The beer selection was minimal and since we didn't speak Tagalog, getting the orders correct was a bit of an exercise. All was great though. Highly recommend...

This reastaurant has been around since 1945 and yet loyal customers of several generations still flock to it. The chicken is really good and it's taste has remained unchanged through the years probably due to a secret recipe. It also serves other native Filipino dishes. Prices are quite reasonable and there is no service charge.

I have eaten here a number of times with friends, what confuses me it doesn't seem as good at the other branches all over the country. Chicken can be dry and bland. in this branch.

When I say small I mean that the portions are too small. The food is comparing to others not really cheap so you expect to leave the table with a full stomach. I like the food from Max but portions are to small for what you pay...

I was not a fan of Max's. When it opened in Gaisano, I never went there. When I came home for a holiday, my sister invited me to lunch and because she has gluten intolerance, Max's is the only place she can eat in Pacific Mall. We shared the lechon kawali she ordered. It was a GOOD lechon kawali. I am not a big eater, and I avoid pork while I am here in the UK. The crackling was delicious. The portion was good enough for two people especially if you ordered another dish.
It is reasonably priced, which is probably why it is always busy. Service is okay. My sister is a frequent customer, she said some of the staff recognised now, hence the friendlier service we received. Overall, it is a good place to eat - for me. But I have a fussy eater for a husband. He couldn't find anything he like to eat. He opted for a burger, but it was not available. He ordered a sandwich in the end.
I suppose when I go back to Legazpi for a holiday, I'll be back to Max's because my sister eats there. 😄

If you don't know where to go in Legazpi, go to Max's restaurant in Pacific Mall. Food is as expected, staff are friendly. And you get what you expect.

The Employees of this restaurant in this branch doesn't know the word RESPECT
when a customer is eating, always say 'Excuse me would you like some water?' or
when a customer asks for water always say 'Excuse me' NOT JUST RANDOMLY shoves the damn glass of water and a certain employee in this branch is very rude.
NOT RECOMMENDABLE.
The Food here is average.

This is actually that first restaurant that greets you as soon as you enter the Pacific Mall as it is located next to the main entrance opposite the National Book Store. Its best offering is still its unique-tasting crispy fried chicken which some people claim is deep-fried not in vegetable oil but in pork fat. There are plated meals on offer but the portions appear too small for the price. But one thing I like about this restaurant are their neat and clean table cloths, fine cloth table napkins and cutlery. Only that, if you're seated at any of the tables near the glass panels on the North-side, they provide little privacy as people standing, or passing by outside the mall's front side can practically see and count your bite.

Finding vegetarian food in the Philippines is more difficult than even Russia, I tell you what. I was delighted when I found vegetarian Bicol Express at this restaurant, along with some vegetarian side dishes. Everything was delicious and the service exceptional.
