It's my first time trying here in Colonial Grill and I must say I am satisfied with their menu and dishes. Not to pricey yet the quality of their dishes are up to par. Giving it 5 stars

This is a very popular eatery in the city of Legazpi. We tried its branch at the Pacific Mall, which I believe was one of its first branches. I ordered some local Bicolano delicacies, like "laing" and "pangat" (both prepared with gabi leaves and some...coconut milk), but what really excited me was the spicy ice cream (which comes in four levels of spiciness)! The venue itself was quite simple, but service was good and friendly, and the food was delectable and affordable. Finding a parking space at this mall is a bit of a problem.More

Overpriced in relation to the serving size. Understaffed as it took us quite some time to get served. Hope things change for the better soon.

Chili Ice Cream is such a hit that there's no way we'd ever miss trying it. I had the mildest one, though. It was quite an experience. We ordered several dishes and I liked their pinangat and bicol express. The tinapa rice was a yum!

The food was served with 15 minutes interval each, when the orders was complete the food that was served first was already cold. So dissapointed with the taste, will not dine here ever again. Ruined the mood ruined the night

Arrived with a party of 12. Everyone ordered at the same time. !0 people received their meals in a timely manner. Two people didn't get served for another 10-15 minutes after repeatedly asking the wait staff about the delay. The food isn't even that good...that this place can get away with miserable table service. Evidently this is an old time chain with lots of nostalgia in peoples' minds for great meals of times past. I find their food rather ordinary.More

Folks here recommend new places to try Bicol good, which is great for options and visitors with several days here, but I’m a Colonial loyalist who would choose this restaurant if I had only one eat-out schedule available. Food quality is consistently very good, lots...of choices old and new, and taste is authentic Bicolandia. Now there are more branches that you can find one in almost every major locale in Legazpi. Nice! Cherry on top ... their unique flavors of ice cream: chilies/ spicy Colonial classic, toasted rice/ tinutungan, caramelized/ caramelado, citrus/ calamansi, chocolate/ local cacao, and more!More

We went to the 1st Colonial Grill in Pacific Mall the first night and SM the second night. The panangat, embutido, pinakbet, tinola hala-an, tuna sisig, tinapa rice were all delicious. The sili ice cream was a treat but we opt'd for level 2, you...can go up to volcano if you can take the heat.More

Me and my wife visit the Colonial Grill Sorsogon restaurant many times and like the food. But Last Thursday Jan 10 2019 the people serving made us very mad. Our table is full of the ordered food. suddenly the waitress brings some unordered food. We...told her and so got quit upset. She went back to the counter and smashed the food on the kitchen counter. But it went to far when we got the bill and I found out that they still charged us for the food we never ordered. I talked to the cashiers and the spoken english was very poor, only Yes yes no......but no apology at all. I recorded the spoken tagalog and I am glad I had my wife listen to it on the way home. Disgusting language, attitude and responsibility, unworthy for staff to use against a foreigner usa. Supervisor, check the working staff and get rid of the dirt. I am a foreigner who does not easily write a comment, but they upset my wife, something I do not take easy. LucMore

We visited 1st Colonial Grill located at SM Legazpi. The place was packed when we got there (peak hour / lunch time). Staff were okay, you need to call them several times before they attend to your needs. We ordered Tinapa Rice and Bagoong Rice....We did not like the Tinapa Rice, very salty. The Bagoong Rice is good.Their Bicol Express is good as well. Their chicken is ok, serving is very small. We ordered a chicken dish that is said to be popular in the area (forgot the name though) but it was cooked with coconut milk (I think?) and it has some cooked bananas. I personally did not like this one. I could not understand the taste. We also ordered baked mussel but it was so burnt! And the mussels were very tiny! We also ordered their famous sili ice cream volcano level, the spiciest among all! It was indeed spicy! Three scoops for 120 pesos - I must say it's okay for the experience. All in all, it was just an ok experience. Food was ok. There were good dished, there were also not so good ones. Service is not that great, but maybe because all the staff were very busy during peak hours. Eat here for experience if your are in Legazpi City.More

Nothing special here. Food is average at best. Service is adequate. Atmosphere is utilitarian. It is ok for a quick forgettable lunch. It is not the kind of place to take a guest if you are trying to impress.
