I was glad to know that this is a Covid conscious restaurant where masks are required and the chairs are arranged one seat apart. They have almost all Filipino favorite dishes but when in Tagaytay you MUST order bulalo. Food is delicious with a hefty...serving placed in large heavy plates. The view is spectacular perfect for your IG feeds. They have a cozy ambience suited for family.More

We went to Balay Dako for an early lunch to avoid the crowds during weekends. We ordered Pusit sisig, chicken inasal and Kansi. The food was quite pricey but worth the try! The Pusit sisig is really creamy because of the mayonaisse. My boyfriend got...“umay” because of it. The Chicken inasal was super tender and perfectly grilled and the Kansi was superb but tasted like Sinigang. Considering that its lunch and saturday, we are accommodated fast and food was served fast too! Def worth the try! We also tried their home made ice cream flavor is Ube Quezo costs 100 per scoop good for sharing for two people. The resto’s ambiance also has a nice view of Taal!More

We stopped in for lunch, not having been for some while. The ambience of this restaurant is really nice and spacious and the views on a clear day over Lake Taal are beautiful. The taste of the food is very good and the staff are...pleasant. Well worth a visit if you're in the neighbourhood.More

The food is good and there are so many options. We were also fortunate to have seat...with an amazing view of the Taal Lake and Volcano. A great weekend breakfast experience.More

My family went over to Balay Dako this weekend for their buffet breakfast. Unfortunately, we came in late and buffet was closed. It was a chance for us to try their menu for the first time. We had a good experience and we enjoyed the...food. The servers were also helpful and accommodating. So, may i share with you the must-try filipino/spanish food they have there. Crispy Tawilis, dipped in spicy vinegar, is heaven. Even better than tuyo, actually. It can be eaten with its bones and tail and everything (in case you didn't know). Seafood Paella. Just like the paella I had in Barcelona, but, it had a surprise in it. They placed chunks of Lechon kawali all over. Laing. Classic. You won't go wrong ordering this dish. It isn't spicy as you might expect it to. I guess it is for all the family, kids and adults alike, to enjoy. Bulalo. What is a trip to tagaytay without Bulalo? They'll give you a giant part that a family of 5 or 6 can share. Piyaya. Fresh of the griddle, 100 pesos for 6 peices, not bad at all. Avocado Ice cream. Great way to finish the meal with a creamy, flavorful, scoops of ice cream. They have other flavors that everyone will like.More

The only thing I can say on this one is “Perfect”. They have a tasteful fool, crew are very assistive and easy to approach. The manager would see you for anything you need and best food ever. Especially, that Valentines dinner. Wow - immensely was...really good.More

We have decided to celebrate our Mom's birthday and as always everyone was excited and happy with the food selections, view of the Taal lake and restaurant ambience, Their Chocolate cake was awesome It's my 3rd visit to Balay Dako in a matter of 3...weeks and will definitely come back again wherever in the Philippines. Before leaving, make sure to pass by their Deli Shop for some pasalubong. Also, dont forget the freshly cooked Piyaya. So delicioso!More

I was surprised the place was crowded even in the early morning, probably because it was a holiday weekend. No issues on waiting since the weather was nice and cold. We came there to try the famous breakfast buffet and have a post-birthday celebration for...my niece. We were seated on the long high table, staff were relatively courteous and accommodating considering the amount of guests. The view was exceptional, that's what we came for anyway. Only thing most of us, and a few guests notice was the food...most of it are salty that some of us lost appetite. I loved the iced coffee though and the desserts were perfect. The facility was neat including the toilets.More

Had the CHICHARONG BULAKLAK (excellent!!), CHICHARONG BALAT NG MANOK, BULALO (as always), KARE-KARENG GULAY, INIHAW NA PUSIT and SQUID INK RICE, and TURON NA TIKOY AND UBE for dessert. So many people and the wait was long but worth it. Service is always impeccable and...efficient, staff is always courteous. Food is also consistently fresh and cooked well. Love that they just take well-loved dishes and do them well.More

Lunch was a la carte. But due to Taal Volcano’s eruption, it is now closed. Sorry. T
