The dinner buffet was the worst ever! There was a grill station but we had to wait for someone to show up. Eventually, somebody showed up and said that they will bring the food once cooked but never came. It took 3 people and more...than half an hour to get someone to cook the fresh lumpia and once we got it, it was so salty!! There was a halo-halo station but there was no shaved ice. Good luck finding somebody to get desserts! Our plates were piling up and nobody was picking them up. Meanwhile, servers were walking past our table, ignoring the plates. Not to mention the food choices was limited and it is not refilled regularly so you need to wait a long time to try a dish. The beverages were at room temperature and the ice were too big to fit the glass which was useless. Overall, the service and food was unacceptable especially if you're paying 1550 pesos per person!! We expect more for the price we paid. It was very frustrating and disappointing!! We will not come back and we do not recommend this restaurant!!More

I love Veranda for the service and the view of Taal Lake. We had our breakfast in Veranda and the selection of food was fairly up to the hotel's magnitude. Wide, fresh and various food options provided. Outside is an open space which provides the...view of Taal Volcano.More

Had a very pleasant experience in Veranda Restaurant. They offer the best buffet in Tagaytay. Staff was very courteous and know how to handle their customer very well. Highly recommended. “A must try”.

I must say, the Veranda has the best buffet in Tagaytay that caters to those balikbayans craving for Filipino food or foreigner friends who want to try a little bit of every Pinoy delicacy. The food is great but what makes it more special is...the amazing view of Taal. After dining, you can walk in the garden and take that perfect Tagaytay background.More

We stayed at Taal Vista for 8 nights and breakfasted here for most days as well as having lunch and dinner on some days. First off worthy of mention are the fantastic staff. Welcoming, friendly and attentive. Special thanks to Merven who waited our table...quite a lot and provided dining options advice on our first day. Much appreciated. The breakfast buffet is spectacular with abundant local dishes and something for every taste. A bright and happy environment complete with a serenading trio of very good musicians. Certainly one of the best breakfast buffets I have had anywhere. We ate buffet and ala Carte at different times and really happy with the food dishes available and quality. Our serenading musicians were there to add to the atmosphere in on one evening we saw a lovely Philippine cultural show having been sat right at the front. An unexpected treat. I should say the lunch and dinner buffets are not cheap but depending on your appetite you can get value for money. There is also a wine buffet that is value fir money if you are a wine drinker. Our thanks to Veranda staff for ensuring a top dining experience.More

It is only the month of April but the heat in the city of Manila is already unbearable. My family and I decided to take a break from the heat and visit a relative in Tagaytay. We had lunch buffet at the Veranda and, my,...what a treat that was. I had been out of the country for quite a while and decided to have an all-Filipino lunch. I skipped all North American cuisine and only sampled Filipino dishes that I had not eaten for quite a while. My favorities were the deliciously juicy and tender porchetta that was all the more made savory by the sauce. Soo good. I also sampled the Filipino salads which were okay. I also made my own halu-halo ... the best! And, to top it all, as it was a Saturday, there was a Filipino dance programme that I thoroughly enjoyed. Graceful, beautiful, and skillful dancers treated us to the castanet dance, the tinikling, a Muslim tinikling dance, and much more.More

We had several breakfasts and snacks at this restaurant. The restaurant is in the Taal Vista Hotel. Very nice hotel. The restaurant is large with plenty of seating. It was always clean and the waitstaff was friendly and quick. For the breakfast buffet there was...a good variety of dishes and drinks. In the evening we had a snack. A tropical halo halo. It is served in a whole coconut and it is very elegant looking. Very good too. Prices are typical for hotel restaurants.More

Jan20. Lunch. I have always loved how Taal Vista-Veranda resto showcases Filipino talent and culture during buffet time. But of course, discussion abt food is different. There's a lot of variety which is good -- and as always. I was hoping to eat lunch by...ordering and not buffet but was advised that they only do buffet during that time so fine -- we're hungry so be it. Other restos were jampacked since its a Sunday, family day, so not much choice. My mom's a senior so she cant eat a lot.. most of what she ate were fish and veggies so of course paying Php14xx.xx (if i remember the per biill correctly) was too much. She has her Senior Cit ID but still, it's more than Php1k. Dessert was a bit bland (the redvelvet cake, the bico and maja blanca) but good for those who's not into too much sugar. They have lechon, sisig, kare-kare, pasta -- all that jazz. They have an area for salad, for the kids and the different juice. Food Presentation was okay, same as how it was last 2018. View was perfect if you prefer eating outside the AC-functioned room. Some of the crew was not as attentive that your plates can stay in your table for sometime before they get it. I'm unsure if it was the Chef but there was this "Chef" helping out.. walking around asking if you need anything and asks if the food was good. He's nice and he ensures that what you need in food is attended to and offers you other varieties found in different tables of the venue. At the end of the day... is Php1,4xx.xx worth it? Well... Let's just say my Php1k of gas can bring me to other restos... if only I have the patience to fall in line for parking and table :)More
