The place we went to is located along Sta-Rosa Tagaytay road. The other restos on the area were fully-booked and has time limit. It was 7pm. Loved that there was no crowd here. The interiors were made to be elegant. Love the coffee books on...the foyer. Service is fast. Ordered some hot liquids and dinner options. Passable but nothing exceptional. The staff were very friendly though. Nice resto option.More

For pasalubong we bought: All the tarts esp blueberry, apple, choco, buko, and strawberry. Didn't like the pineapple. We got the ground coffee (hazelnut and barako), okoy, pastillas, sardines (try Montano brand), Banana chips, Cassava chips, and tamarind candies. There's parking space, but cash only...transactions.More

Never Again! We had a horrible experience here last Sunday May 30, 2019. On our way home from an overnight trip at Tali beach our large group of 10 decided to make a stop in Tagaytay to grab coffee. Our first and 2nd choice were...jam packed so we ended up at cliffhouse and decided to settle here. It took a long time for our orders to arrive. I ordered for pansit bihon and white chocolate mocha 16oz. The first batch of coffee we ordered arrived. Then when the waiter called for who ordered white chocolate mocha I raised my hand, but I noticed how come my cup was placed in an 8oz cup when I ordered for 16oz. The waiter seemed annoyed and he told me that for white chocolate mocha the 16oz cup is placed in an 8oz cup. This made no sense to me at all. It was only then that one of my friend said she ordered for the white chocolate mocha small which is the 8oz cup. So I immediately pass the drink to her. All of my friend’s coffee already arrived except for mine. A few minutes later, the waiter came out with a cup of 16oz then he asked who ordered for hot chocolate? I said I ordered for white chocolate mocha 16oz and I did not order for the hot chocolate. And I told the waiter to cancel my WCM. After awhile he came back at our table looking annoyed and was screaming to us saying “meron po talagang nag order nito for Sheila!” I was shocked that he had to mention my name out loud announcing like I just didn’t want to accept my order. So I told the waiter, “Kuya yes, I am Sheila and I made an order but not for hot chocolate. Why would I accept a wrong order?! Besides, I’ve already cancelled that drink.” While some of my friends just wanted me to let it slide saying “hayaan mo na” The whole situation got me too annoyed so I said “hello? I’m the paying customer ako pa ba mag aadjust?” Cliffhouse is known to have quality restaurants and coffee shops within its compound. Not being petty here but, I expect some level of service to go with their menu prices. We noticed, the group from our next table all stood up and left because no one was attending to them. The persistent waiter came out again in a few minutes with the 16oz messy cup and putting it down in front of me saying here’s your white chocolate mocha (ugh! I said to cancel it already) but fine, never mind. I removed the lid to take a sip and my God! It’s obviously the hot chocolate drink from earlier that they tried to remedy to make it pass as a WCM. I know how a WCM taste like. But to be sure, I passed the drink to my friend who ordered for the same and she confirmed it’s a different drink. When I saw the guy who took our orders coming out of the kitchen, I think he’s not just an order taker but he was also the one who prepared our food. I immediately called him and I talked to him calmly and told him. Kuya, this isn’t a WCM. Just to let you know that I am not paying for this drink. The guy told me sure maam no problem and he took the cup away. Upset and hungry, I ate my pansit and it tasted like a lot of soy sauce was poured over it. The pansit tasted bad even when I’m hungry. When my friends asked for the bill “kuya pa bill out na rin.” the same waiter responded in his same annoyed tone “ma’am wait lang!” My friend lost it and told him “ ok kuya! May problema ka ba? Ano bang problema mo? You can say it nicely Ang ayos kung nag ask sayo.!” I think this waiter can’t take this level of stress that he doesn’t realize he’s already screaming at us numerous times. It’s a Sunday. Rowena’s should’ve anticipated the volume of people and should’ve assigned a few more staff that day. Your waiter is so stressed out we are just a group of 10 and the other group already left and they can’t even cope. And my god asking for our bill took another 20 minutes. It was chaos when the lady cashier doesn’t seem to know what she was doing. Oh and they asked for Sevice charge pa ha. I wanted to ask “which service?” But nah, never mind. This will be our first and last to be visiting this place. We should’ve just went to UCC next to it. Sorry no photos. No one would think of taking a photo when the place already ruined everyone’s mood at the table.More

Bought Blueberry and Chocolate mousse tarts and Malunggay chips for pasalubong. As always, their tarts are good and especially loving their malunggay chips. They are not salty at all and good for those who love chips but hate the salt overload.

I love their apple and Pineapple Tarts They taste just perfect, crust is soft and yummy. The price is very competitive. It's just a bit difficult to bring the box if you are commuting because the Tarts may get deformed, however it still taste the same....Keep it up Rowena's.More

We had dinner here after purchasing tarts to bring home. The restaurant was deserted and we were the only customers for the first 30 mins. there. The pathway going to the dining area was dark, unmanned and mosquito infested. The waiters were attentive and accommodating,...the food was ok and reasonably priced. However be aware that there are huge mosquitos (and plenty of them). They got into our food as well. The staff didn't have a solution for this problem. Would think twice before dining here again.More

A must stop when you visit Tagaytay. Apart from their wide array of pasalubong buys like buko tart, sylvanas.. They also offer some menus that you can enjoy eating inside their shop, while resting those tired feet from all the day's walk about. Love their...sisig and red sinigang! Usually, aside from family getaway, we frequent Tagaytay to bring home balikbayan friends and families. Rowena's Cafe or and Rowena's pasalubong shops is a defenitely a must-stop for delicious meal and of course to bring home baked goodies and hard to find snacks to bring...home with our visitors back in their country. The place is well kept and manage, staffs very warm and accommodating, good service, quality food/proportion and value for money. The Tarts are all good. We took home with us Assorted cheese tarts, and apple tarts. The apple tarts has been my favorite. You can eat it as it is, or pop it in the oven or toaster for a warmer version. A good box of 9pcs Apple Tart cost 220PhP, same with the assorted cheese tarts. Visit their Café and pasalubong areas and surely you will love it!❤️More

My family decided to try Rowena's located at Hill Crest because the view there is stunning and the location is very relaxing. What I don't like about Rowena's is their waiting game. We waited for 30 minutes before we got to our seats. It is...passed lunch time already so we are very hungry at that time. We thought our foods can be served in less than 30 minutes because there are only 3-4 tables occupied during the time, and less customers ordering food because it's passed lunch time. I thought the loooong waiting game is over. 1 hour passed, and only 1 dish was served to our table. They didn't even served us water, which is a common practice in restaurants, that once the guests are seated to their respective tables, the servers will automatically serve a glass of water to their table. (I know that because I am a SHRIM graduate). We noticed that every 30 min, they serve our orders, one by one, which is not sooo good. So all in all, we were waiting for almost 2 hours before we can eat our lunch.More

Their Blueberry Cheese Tarts never fails to impress the receivers of these pasalubong. Their other tarts are equally delicious. The place is quite roomy but, still packs a lot of buyers on weekends. There are more pasalubongs to choose from like nuts, chips, crackers, etc.

As we Filipinos love to bring home a little something to our loved ones from a trip, I wanted to try something different this time so I went to Rowena's. I wasn't disappointed. From Rowena's suman pinipig (P220 per pack of 10pcs) to Rowena's assorted...mini cheese tarts (less than P200 per box of 12 mini tarts - blueberry, mango, strawberry), plus Ube Halaya, Espasol, and Apa, my family loved all the goodies that I bought. The place was very clean and a restaurant side as well. Service was impeccable. Thanks!!!More
