this unassuming resto is a gastronomic haven. we just entered the place for convenience because it was right in front of the condotel we were staying in for the night and we had no idea what it offers. the menu lists local dishes and we tried a smorgasbord of shrimps, pork, chicken, fish & veggies served in a big platter covered with banana leaf. the filipino beef marrow stew (bulalo) was steaming hot in a medium size bowl good for 3-4 people. alas, we weren't able to devour the whole set in one sitting and opted to take out the left-overs for breakfast the following morning. the whole meal fetches a price a tad higher than those we mostly frequent in tagaytay. but we're glad we tried the place as a complete family because my kid kinda felt liberated after a long, forced home quarantine of about 18 months. the pandemic surely tested his gustatory sense. dahon@mesa definitely delivers very good food. you just have to bring a lot of patience when you dine here because of the long wait. just the same, it's worth the while.

The restaurant has a good price range with a good view and very courteous and attentive waiters. Mr Christian, Mr Jonmar and Ms Arlene have very good customer service :) Needs improvement on the bathrooms and restaurant space/aesthetics.

Didn’t know that this place existed til I saw it on TikTok. Place did not disappoint, easy to enter, plenty of parking and plenty of tables! They view is amazing! Was assisted by Kaye who put up with me asking to change tables (coz it was windy 😂). Jasper and Erwin were our servers. We ordered the suman and leche flan with tsokolate and its a must try! Wasnt too sweet and serving was just right for 2 people. We ordered the kansi bulalo for a change, and the meat was really render! They served it on a hot pot with a flame which keeps the soup hot, the serving is probably good for 4 people, we weren’t able to finish it so we had it packed to go. The soup is not refillable tho, only for special bulalo Erwin said. We also ordered the grilled tuna belly, and the seasoning was perfect. It wasn’t leathery and i would definitely order it again. This is our new go to place now since its along the highway and not too far (just across Wind Residences). The ambience is really nice at night. They have kubos which are shielded from the wind, so you dine alfresco without freezing! I guess its best to come here in a big group so you can try everything , the servings are too big for a couple.

We visited this restaurant at Silang Tagaytay road based on a blogger's review. However our experience is a big letdown and disappointment when we ordered our desired meal. To begin with, the food menu is very pricey as if it was a five star fine dining resto. The service is slow and we have to make a follow up up until our orders were delivered after 40 minutes. First thing we noticed is that our orders were not hot anymore. The house special of Tom yong is a hold up at its price considering that its its ingredients is just the shrimp and the soup, nothing more. I felt as if they just used a packet of Tom Yoong ready to mix bought from the supermarket and poured it into a bowl of boiling water and then the shrimp. That's it, a house specialty. Also the grilled squid is very tough to chew, as if am having a high impact jaw exercise. I commented it to the waiter and they offered to replace it but I hesitated because we have already eaten a small portion. But the waiter convinced us so we gave in and they replaced it. However, the replacement is just 2/3 in size of the original serving ( maybe because they thought that we have already eaten a small portion of it). However we encountered just a slight improvement in the toughness of the new one compared to the first serving. if the first one toughness rating is 9/10, the second one is 8/10. Also the roast chicken is just very ordinary as if we just bought one from Andoks and finally the Pinakbet is just ordinary if we will based it on its high price. Overall we just finished our meal as we are hungry, took some pictures in the area as usual, and left the restaurant, never to return again.....

We arrive early to make sure na maexperience namin ung maganda panahon and clouds unfortunately after we order matagal ung servings ng food and may second na dumating samin situated in the same spot sa second floor sa may taas kaso mas nauna sila sinervan ng food and the sinigang sa bulalo is serve ng di n mainit..no service water available so need mo bumili ng bottles water which is added cost sa bill mo. And gutom n gutom.n kmi since we didnt eat break fast we travel from makati pa just to experience the food pero nakakadisappoint kasi d masrap nothing is special sa.mga menu nila ung kare kare walang ksama alamang so we ask for it pa nung naubos n ung bagoong n nakatoping sa bagoong rice that we separate. Then ung crispy dinuguan d rin namin naapreciate kasi mas masarap p luto sa carinderia they put atay n not usual sa mga dinuguan and d rin sya crispy. Then ung laing is hndi available the worst after namin kumain natake naman nila sa order and naserve lahat ng food ng sobrang tagal then need mo ifollow up ibang order mo ang nakakasad ung best seller nila when we tell the waiter n iserve n ung suman sab d daw available so nainis kami kasi pinatapos muna kumain and pinaorder ka ending wala pala ung desert sana d n kami tumuloy kung ung sinadya namin n suman is hndi available and they dod not inform us in the first place. Disappointing. We ordered Crispy Pata Kare-Kare, Bulalo, tawilis, ensaladang talong and Suman with leche flan. Service was okay, not outstanding. Our orders took time to be served. The Tawilis was the best dish we ordered and the suman was equally good. The food was served covered by plastic cling wrap, what a turn off. Of all the restaurants we’ve been to, this is the only one who served the dish tightly covered in Saran Wrap! The Crispy Pata Kare Kare’s sauce was sticky like paste and served lukewarm and so was the bulalo, we had to ask them to reheat the Kare kare but it came back still the same. Total bill came close to 4,000.00. First and last visit.

Worst restaurant ever in Tagaytay! From services to foods not so recommended. We came for breakfast so Syempre di na kame kumain and when we arrived we waited for almost 45 mins to serve our order kung hindi pa kame mag follow up walang update about sa order namen. Then for foods yung kansi bulalo serve as cold knowing na its in Tagaytay so expected na dapat mainit init pag naka serve then for dessert SOBRANG DISAPPOINTED kasi sasabihing wala kung kailan tapos na kame kumain. We traveled 2 hours tapos ito lang ma experience namen. Hindi mo babalikan talaga.

We had a great experience at Dahon@Mesa. We were a group of about 30 and they were able to accomodate us comfortably. Their friendly and helpful staff greeted us immediately and kept us updated on when our table will be available (we reserved for 2pm but arrived earlier). We ordered 3 boodles but we didn't have to wait long. The meat lover and chef's choice boodle are definitely worth the price plus their suman w/ tsokolate and leche flan are must have desserts! Overall a great experience made possible by their commendable staff. Kudos to Randel, Patrick, Christian, Russell, LetLet and everyone (I'm sure I forgot others!) who made our family's dining experience in Tagaytay truly memorable. PS. the Taal view from here is 🔥🌋 PPS. They sing for birthday celebrants 🤭

Dahon@Mesa is a hidden gem that brings the rich, authentic flavors of Filipino cuisine to the table with a modern twist. Located in a cozy, welcoming space, the restaurant’s ambiance is a blend of traditional Filipino warmth and contemporary style, making it perfect for both casual meals and special occasions. The menu offers a delightful journey through the Philippines, with standout dishes like the Crispy Pata—a perfectly fried pork knuckle served with a tangy dipping sauce—and the Sinigang na Baboy, a comforting sour pork soup that hits all the right notes. The grilled dishes, particularly the Inihaw na Liempo, are smoky and tender, bursting with flavor. Service at Dahon@Mesa is friendly and efficient, with staff eager to guide you through the menu. For a truly satisfying meal that honors Filipino heritage while embracing modern culinary trends, Dahon@Mesa is a must-visit. Our service crew is KHYVEN.

The view is nice. Food was served 15-30 mins as promised. The staffs are friendly and very accommodating. We ordered Crispy Pata Kare-Kare, Grilled Bangus and Baked Tahong. They just forgot to inform us that Baked Tahong was not available so it was not served. No service water. Overall, im impressed by the presentation of the dishes and its flavors. It’s a bit pricey but the food and service justifies the cost.

Dahon at Mesa has a great spot with good parking, good treehouse seats, and good kubos for customers to stay in. They serve tasty dishes and their servings are ideal for groups. The winning factor of this establishment is that the service they provide is impeccable, they have great attitude and are very accommodating. (Shout out to Sir Philip! 😄) Overall a 10/10 experience.

Lovely place for lunch! The little huts were so nice to eat at and the temperature in the area just right. The food came warm and was delicious but our lechon Kawali was a little “makunat”. Our server, Sir Ben, was very attentive too and sought to it that he could help with whatever we needed 💯
