The buco pie is great and really yummy, also the shop where you can buy has a wide range of products, everything okay. Going to the restaurant and the food:
They are disorganized, loud and it´s always restless and chaotic.
The food is also tasteless: no taste in the tawilis, the liempo was full of small pieces of bones - and how you are grill/barbecue belly with a size of 2cm? They cut it and fry it in a pan. Alos no taste, no salt no spices, no soy or whatever, also dry.
The chicken wings fatty and without taste. The soup was okay, also the Lechon. Overall will never go back, food is to bad for the money.
Only the shop in front is fine for 3/5, other wise rating will be more less...
Ohh,the view is great, no question.......

We wanted to try Cecilia's Buco Pie but they had already ran out of it at 1:00pm on a Thursday afternoon at their restaurant and pasalubong shop located a few meters from the highway. So I have no basis to compare it with other popular Tagaytay buco pies like Rowena's and Amira's. So if you want to try their buco pie better buy it earlier than 1pm on a weekday or perhaps much earlier if on a weekend especially with all the tourists like us flocking to Tagaytay.and its .environs.
We settled instead for buco tarts and other pasalubong items. Other pasalubong items macapuno balls and banana chips price ranges from PHP100 up. I believe these pasalubong items were sourced outside Cecilia's because they did not carry its brand name. The same pasalubong items but not the same brand name (which is not Cecilia's in the first place) could be bought cheaper at the Mahogany Market dry goods stalls. I can't guarantee the quality though because I have no basis for comparison.
The buco tartlets of Cecilia's are nicely packaged in a box. We expected that their buco tarts would be just like mini versions of their buko pie. But sad to say, the packaging was better than the content. The crust of the tarts were flaky but the buco were not that tender and the filling was not as creamy as I expected. In fact, I think the filling was a bit dry as I tried a couple just to see if the first tart I tried was a fluke.
Also, one pet peeve I have is whenever a cashier asks if I have loose change, I am disappointed, because bigger establishments (by Tagaytay standards) should never ask for loose change from their customers. Will they short change their customers if they didn't have loose change? I never found out because luckily I had loose change. The cashier was pleasant though as she attended to the items that we purchased.
Although disappointed by the early sell out of buco pies and the so so taste of their buco tarts, if I would be back in the area I might try buying their buco pie to find out if it is worthy of attaching their name to their product. Also to try out some of the other pastries they had in their refrigerated glass display. Who knows I might get lucky this time?

I only do takeouts, particularly for their scrumptious buco pie – generously packed with buco slices and a delightful custard cream filling. The combination is refreshing and not overly sweet. Without a doubt, they have one of the best buco pies in town.
I've also tried their ube buco pie, but the sweetness wasn't to my liking, and the ube halaya they use isn’t of premium quality. Their apple pie likewise missed the mark, filled with gooey jam without real apple pieces.
Overall, I'm here for the classic buco pie, and that's it. I'll keep coming back for it.

We went for lunch and we didn’t expect the place to be stuffy and extremely disorganized. We requested for an electric fan, and the manager rudely let us know that they only have one (1) fan as the resto is a “nature experience” type of ambiance. I was taken aback by how rude the manager. Isn’t good customer service or common decency a norm anymore?

For PHP325 per coconut pie, it's a "pasalubong" to giveaway. While in Tagaytay, we saw a number of Cecilia's branches and new ones being built. I thought the quality would be better than competitors and expected more coconut inside. What we got was mostly hard thick (old) coconut, some tender (young) coconut strands and a disproportionate amount of blob.

I am just SO glad someone referred Cecilia's to us! They have several branches in Tagaytay and would not have tried it if not for the recommendation, since I tend to go for tried and tested.
There are tons of pasalubong options to choose from, but just go for the Buko Pie. You get it warm, with flaky pastry and the thickest chunks of buko with just the right amount of custard filling in between.
It is balanced in flavor (otherwise known as not too sweet), and is extremely addicting.
Drop by on your next visit to Tagaytay and you can thank me after! ;)

I had tried buko pie before supposedly the best in Tagaytay and it was very disappointing. I decided to try Cecilia after hearing good things from friends
It was warm when purchased, I can honestly say it was fantastic very good, I think the crust is what makes a good pie and hers is flaky and tinder although I thought it was even better the next day with coffee. Treat yourself you will agree also.

This is a pasalubong center, always teeming with customers. What we usually do is buy buco pie at the outlet beside Diner's Restaurant (I think the same owners) go sit at diners and have them serve the buco pie with their coffee. Very filing!

Messaged their fb page to book fornour 10th year Annivesary, we reserved a 25seating s function room section at the 2nd floor. The waiter assisted us for other options where we can have our reception. We made a reservation fee payment just to booknthe room and date. We purchased Buko pie here.

We were curious about this new pasalubong place which was quite huge, expecting it to be like that other place which we found overrated. Cecilia’s buco pie did not disappoint! Each slice had huge chunks of buco in it and the pies were moderately sweetened (surprise, surprise in a country that uses twice the sugar in everything). I’m on my second slice now and this is definitely the best buco pie I’ve ever had 👍🏻

this place is like a tourist trap. the prices are same with balay dako. it's like they're a poor version of balay dako. the place is a little off the road. we took a chance because of the traffic and we were a little hungry already. their bulalo is not even delicious. the meat is not tender. the service is bad considering there's not that many customers. and worse, they only accept cash. they should let customers know outside the resto with things like that. it's only written in the cashier counter which is at the back. don't ever repeat our mistake of going there

Why is it your branches in tagaytay do not respect senior citizen discount? You only deduct 10 pesos, I repeat, 10 pesos from the total bill. Where is the 20percent. You are disregarding the law. Very discouraging.
