There are now 3 Bag of Beans Restaurants in Tagaytay. However, their first venue is the one I frequently visit while in the vicinity because of its very nice and cozy set up. Eating there makes me feel like I am just in my backyard with all those greens surrounding me. This restaurant offers very good variety of food from the usual Filipino dishes, Italian pizzas and pastas to American cuisine. Their breakfast sets are served in big plates with matching salad and good smelling brewed coffee, which makes it so much more inviting to guests who have big appetites. Those who like to eat buffet style are seated in a particular area for that purpose. A la carte style is served near the main building. Most of those who visit or pass by Tagaytay usually drop by Bag of Beans if not to eat at the restaurant- they would simply grab the fresh and warm bread they sell. The bestseller I guess, would be their Raisin and braided bread. They also sell pies with different fillings. Steak w/ mushroom pie and chicken empanadas are my favorite! The place is for casual dining but very neat and friendly. Price is affordable and they have spacious parking at the back. The other 2 Bag of Beans venues are also located in very nice spots wherein guests get to happilly enjoy the view of Taal Volcano/Lake and Sky Ranch/food Strip respectively

My boyfriend decided to dine in to Bag of Beans of Summit Ridge branch and we are very satisfied in terms of service, ambiance and most especially food. The roast beef is super tender and melts in your mouth perfectly paired with mashed potato and side vegetable. We also ordered their seafood pasta in cream based sauce and fettucinni pasta and boy we are super full! aside from that last but not the least we ordered the famous Blueberry Cheesecake that I wanna take back with me here in Quezon City! Perfect if paired with coffee! Over all : super impressed and I can’t wait to go back in Tagaytay! Best to dine to branch that has few crowds. special mentioned to the server and supervisor at summit ridge bag of beans branch for the hospitality! Keep it up guys!

It amazes me how they could easily renovate the interiors to create a homy feeling. Maybe this have happened during the lockdown but it was different from last year. The open kitchen for pastry right at the entrance is a flavorful and "smells so good" although the pastry shop beside it was overly done as there is a pasalubong shop already when you go by the stairs and even right next to the road so this gives you 3 pastry shop in just one location🙄 Parking is still free but ofcourse their is a civilian guy who expects it upon exiting the area.

It was before 9 when we arrived last night and nobody was approaching our table good for 9 (with senior citiz and kids). Staff keep moving and looking somewhere else except on our that need attention. It was so frustrating especially when there were not a lot of customers to attend to as it was already late. We had to approach one just to get a menu. And still, it was a long wait until the orders arrived. The most frustrating part was that when it arrived, and when we immediately requested for replenishment of the beef sinigang soup (because clearly, the broth is not enough for 7 adults), we were told to finish the soup first before we can ask for it. So we did which served only 3, but then, it took a long while again to get their attention and a long wait for the soup. This place has always been one of our comfort restos, but last night was a disappointment.

We had dinner at their 5th branch , this one at the Twin Lakes complex . Friendly service although it’s hard to get their attention for water refills . Many items ran out. It was a good thing to try some of its best sellers. We shared on some main entrees , chicken ala Kiev , fish and chips , pork empanada, grilled chicken , lechon kawali and Caesar salad. Yummy . Only problem was that there is only one unisex toilet covering 2 spacious dining areas. Beats a typical airline lavatory struggle . But other than that everything is just ok.

We had a few concerns about our experience at this place. We weren't impressed with our visit here. The customer service was lacking—servers rarely said thank you or smiled, and they mixed up our orders, despite the place not being crowded. They even forgot one of our orders but still charged us for it. Secondly, while the ambiance is nice, there are mosquitoes around, so it’s best to come prepared with repellent. Lastly, the pricing doesn’t quite match the food quality. We found some items, like the pricey strawberry milkshake, to be underwhelming. The taste didn’t live up to the cost, as it seemed more like a powdered flavor than real strawberries. Overall, improvements in service, pest control, and food quality could make this place a much better experience.

It's my first time and i love it. They have big servings and reasonable price. I love the ambiance. Tables are quite far from each other due to the social distancing and that's a good thing. Place gets easily swamped so make sure you have lots of patience waiting (there's a free cookies and coffee while waiting), otherwise i love my overall experience. Would definitely recommend if you are in tagaytay.

Highlights: 1. There are welcome drinks and pastries while waiting. 2. Although the place is packed, we did not wait too long to be seated. 3. The interior design and ambiance is very chic and homey. 4. There are a lot of choices in the menu from international to Filipino cuisine. 5. The servings are ok for the price. Price range for an individual meal is P400-600. We ordered bistek tagalog, steak, chicken ala kiev, lasagna, fish and chips, carbonara. 6. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. 7. There are a lot of pretty spots for picture taking, 8. They have nice and clean restrooms. It feels like you are in a 5-star hotel restroom/toilet. Lowlights 1. There is nothing much to see in their coffee/pastry shop. Most of the shelves are empty.

Every time we felt like going to Tagaytay on weekends, we always made it a point to start moving from Metro Manila the earliest possible time (say 5 AM). This is our way to avoid the rush hour & traffic en route to Tagaytay and also to make sure that once we arrive at Bag of Beans main branch, we will be accommodated accordingly as you will be faced with a long queue if you will be arriving there a bit late. We already lost track of how many times we've had our breakfast at BOB Main Branch. There are two or three other branches nearby but we are always drawn to the Bag of Beans Maon Branch because they do have a spacious parking area, a huge dining hall and a very invibing atmosphere conducive for morning chicka whilst munching on their delicious menu. My all time fave all day breakfast menu is their tapa, tocino and bangus as well as their breakfast platter. Their coffee is good as well maybe because they are just a stone throw away from the Amadeo Cavite coffee area. Aside from the ambience & the food, one thing that made us go back to this place is their staff which always gives their 100% of customer service to their patrons.

I am gonna be honest here. Their coffee got to be the worst coffee experience in my entire life. I ordered iced caramel macchiato but I could barely taste the caramel, not even the coffee itself! Very ironic because the name of the store is "Bag of Beans" -- pertaining to the coffee beans. I was expecting a great experience because their flagship product is coffee or the coffee beans themselves.

Good food. We ordered pasta carbornara and fish and chips. Its not dory so its good. You have the choice of fries or mashed potato. They served the fish and chips with tartar sauce and gravy (which they use for their roast beef). Delicious. The carbonara is tasty. Nice that the waitress asked if we want spaghetti or fettuccini pasta. The restaurant was very hot. Aircon was not really working well. They installed electric fans and there were big mosquitoes inside the restaurant. What we loved most was the service of their manager. She is such a dear. Camille and Lenard were also very nice and friendly. I cannot say that with the other male waiters. Not friendly and not helpful. The restroom is clean. Nice lady downstairs in white top.

Been hearing this place from my colleagues so why not try their food. Aside from the beautiful ambiance that they offer, the food that we ordered was so delicious. Never regret pursuing this trip just to unwind over the weekends. Super love the food and coffee.

The main branch in tagaytay was very beautiful with Christmas decorations displayed that looked like it took a lot of effort and great ideas to make. Food was great although i find it a bit pricey. Staff are a bit too busy probably not being able to have their customer service being felt.

Charito by Bag of Beans is a great place to have lunch with family. The view of Taal lake & Taal volcano is breath-taking😍. The surroundings and atmosphere is so cool and friendly. Food is amazingly sumptuous. The attendants are very friendly. Ria Ombrog, one of the employees, was genuinely attending to our needs. She's amiable and always smiling. Christian is a great server. We met the owners Chat and Tony who are so friendly and caring. I will surely recommend Bag of beans Cafe and Restaurant to everyone who love the beautiful scenic Taal Lake and Volcano and great food🥰
