If serenity and connecting with nature is what you are looking for then this place is it. The staff welcomed us with a delicious dalandan fruit juice. We stayed overnight at the Lavender cottage with the family of 8. This cottage can accommodate 13 comfortably....The rooms are spectacular and everything is clean and well maintained. Really nice to just chat and catch up with the family in the spacious living room with the birds chirping in the background. We spent the morning walking around the place. A must if you stay here. The gardens are well manicured. The courtesy and hospitality of the staff is second to none. They greet you and are very welcoming. Special shout out to Jiowell(?) for taking time to tell us more about the owner and the uniqueness of the place. Food is abundant and all were tasty. You will get full. Guaranteed! The staff offered us tarragon with berry tea. Never had this before. The aroma is sweet and smooth to sip. I had seconds! They gave us a 'secret' gift upon check out. Very nice touch. Overall, a fantastic stay. I wish we stayed at least 2 nights. Will we go back here again? You betcha.More
Tagaytay has hundreds of places to eat but this has to be one of the worst. Ate with my family for Sunday lunch. Was expecting some kind of oasis full of plants flowers and trees. Was expecting good food but what we got was the...worst lunch buffet we have ever tried. The buffet had two types of spaghetti and chicken breast. Thats it. The waiters make sure to serve you the food on your table rather than you get it at the buffet table in an attempt to cut back on the portions. We were a table of 5 but they only put down two small plates of chicken breasts for our lunch. They say its eat all you can but they are definitely trying to regulate how much you eat. We wanted to order from the menu because we didnt like the buffet offering but the waiters said that we had to eat the buffet. Dont waste your time on this place. I think the public knows this is a place to avoid because there were very few people dining there. I guess we were the only out of town suckers that day. Dont be a sucker. Learn from our experience and treat your family somewhere else.More
Place was nice especially at night when the colored lights are on. It is just extremely warm to a point it was no longer comfortable. The experience would have been great if there was airconditioning. The service could still improve, we asked for ice many...times, some arrived. Some did not. And the food is much to be desired. They need to improve on this badly. After tasting the breakfast, we opted not to eat lunch there anymore and preferred to enjoy food outside even if we had to pay again for itMore
While still one of the better eating and resting places, Sonya's garden need quality control and some refreshing: The music is too loud. It is not a karaoke bar. Piped in music should be discreet. The vegetable are limp, no longer fresh. The bread tastes...like it was baked early in the morning and heated only in the oven. The chairs are no longer rustic but need cleaning and repainting. The wait staff are dressed in different shades of fade white. Their shoes comes in different colors are their face shields are worn as headshields. The floors have bits if candy wrapper and small trash. The table linens are still crisp, servings generous and wait staff are courteous. The price is reasonable but I wish it was a bit more like Antonio's.More
Since we miss Tagaytay so much. My family decided to try Sonya’s garden in Alfonso Cavite. We checked their menu and found out that it’s a bit pricey for Eat all u can breakfast 733 pesos. Included in the menu is Chixen and pork adobo,...daing na bangus, egg omelette with mushroom, coffee, hot cocoa, fresh dalandan juice and their special Salad. The only thing we enjoy is the salad. One thing we noticed is that they have excellent service given by the staff which we are happy. They really care for the customers request. Place is nice and quiet. Cozy and you will enjoy touring the garden.More
Our overnight stay is one of the highlights of our vacation. Excellent food especially the salad with Sonya’s secret dressing, amazing staff and our room is so beautiful and cozy. You also have to try the massage but make sure that you book before you...come to get a slot. We’ll definitely stay there again when we go for our holiday in Manila.More
5 star for the Garden 2 Star for the lack of restaurant. Maybe I just had a different expectation. I planned to go there do some photography with our daughter in her dress and then have lunch in the middle of the garden and then...have a coffee in a little cottage. I do hope they'll do this kind of thing. I know everyone is focused on instagram worthy places but I might be one of those who prefer good food, good place and good coffee. But the place was wonderful.More
My best friends and I had a weekend escape at the Sonya's Secret Garden. We usually go here to eat their healthy lunch buffet. It was our first to stay and it was a very pleasant experience. The accommodation includes the buffet for lunch or...dinner and breakfast! The food was very sumptuous. We loved the chocolate cake and the turon. They have the "Art of Doing Nothing" activities for the guests such as garden trip, floral arrangement classess, yoga etc.More
The ambiance of the secret garden is just perfect after a long drive from manila. Just relaxed while having breakfast at the garden
Must try even once in your tagaytay trip. This is a unique place , a big garden where you can stay overnight, have spa and have a salad meal. They offer buffet salad course at P685 per pax ( salad, pasta, salmon , bread ,...tea, juice ) and ala carte meals or group meals . Parking is ample.More
Though we were not able to have our lunch in this place because they are fully booked, we still enjoyed our visit in the pretty gardens. Place is clean and relaxing. Perfect for weddings and private events. We hope we can go back to Cavite...and visit this place again.More
Beautiful surroundings, delicious food, and great service for a fair price. We will return as often as we can.
This place is soooooo relaxing. I can still remember the calming scent on the place’ entrance...scent of lavander... Plants and flowers all over makes the it more restful. The pasta, salad and dessert buffet is a must try. You can eat much without getting bloated..hehe.....(or its just what i felt by that time). I love the mint leaves over my choco cake for dessert. I’d tried their massage service a few years ago; and its more than OK. Relaxing and Revitalizing. Love the aroma. 🥰 I love everything about this place. Maybe, on our next visit we’ll book for bed and breakfast. 😉 Best time to visit: November, December or January I think; the weather’s not to hot and a lesser chance to rain.More
Someone stole our umbrella while we where having a massage at the spa and the staff did’t do anything about it and our umbrella is right infront of the receptionist
