With a very stressful visit to Maun we needed a good cup of coffee and a sustaining breakfast. We got the coffee and waited an hour for food only to be told the order had not gone through to the kitchen. With multiple management staff...and waitresses in evidence it would have been nice if we has been checked on even once in that time to be ask if we were OK . That way someone might have noticed the problem. A very disappointing experience.More

Love this cafe near the airport. Chobe4x4 collected there landcruiser and we ended up having brunch here, great food and service. nice way to end our holiday.

What a great find. Sheer luck as the rain forced us to stop. Great coffee and even though some things were not available it was obvious it was because they are busy and want to keep up only the best food coming out. Yummy salad...as a decoration on my daughter's BLT signalled that their specials are probably excellent.More

We stopped at this restaurant at the recommendation of our Airbnb hosts and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere is great and the food is equally delicious. They offer a great variety of food and drinks. If you are ever in Maun, I highly recommend...stopping here for lunch!More

Looking for some decent coffee in Botswana proved a challenge at times. Luckily we found the Dust Donkey on our way through Maun. The food was excellent and the coffee by far the best we had on our 3 week trip in Botswana. Great was...our disappointment when we wanted to stop here again on our way back through Maun, only to find the place closed for that day. We will definitely return here if ever in the vicinity again.More

At Dusty Donkey we always receive a warm welcome by friendly faces. The coffee is great and the food even better. I had a Buddha Bowl - seriously the best plate of food I've had in a long time. We visited the Dusty Donkey for lunch on our one day in Maun. Absolutely fantastic. All the meals we had were so delicious. Smashed avo on sourdough, Egyptian beans. I had the Buddha bowl and it was one of the best things I have ever...eaten. They also introduced us to Okavango brewery beer which we enjoyed so much we sought out the brewery later on that day. Would definitely recommend The Dusty Donkey for anyone visiting Maun.More

As I said in the title so good we went three times. Our first morning in Maun we were in search of iced coffees and WiFi. The dusty donkey seemed to tick these boxes. The WiFi wasn’t the strongest but the coffee was. We ordered...a breakfast wrap with avocado, avocado toast and the corn fritters which were all delicious. The staff were all very friendly. They had some local vendors outside selling bowls and figures and also some lovely bits for sale in the cafe. One morning we were heading on a tour and we rang ahead to order some curbside pickup and it was ready when we arrived. I would really recommend this place If you are looking for a little piece of western brunch vibes.More

We are ones for embracing the local food but after an overnight safari and a rather humpy hussle to Maun we needed that millennial western fix. Alternative milk iced latte, breakfast burritos with added guac, sweetcorn fritters - come at me! The food was so...good we ordered for take away before an excursion one morning, and returned for a final meal before jet setting back to Joburg. The WiFi could be a bit stronger, we found this place on the hope of strong WiFi but found unreal food on the way so no harm done. Some cool merch sold inside, with local men outside selling market favourites and beautiful art. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.More

We loved the place, really cosy, the food was delicious and the service was perfect. There is a good selection of food and cake and it’s perfect for vegetarian and even vegan ! The shop that is inside is also really worth having a look...at with quality objects and jewellery supporting the local market ! Really recommend !More
