We go here quite often and the quality of food is very consistent, which is not very common around town.

Food was great! The staff were friendly and the ambiance was cozy and clean. The serving were a bit small, and the chicken a bit dry. The pancit however, was great and it was cheap.

Place was not packed. Ordered the Chicken sisig bowl meal and fresh lunpia. My wife ordered the budget meal chicken. Once the meal arrived on our table we notice the rice was not even steaming. To our surprise, the rice was NOT even hot! And the rice was kinda grainy hard especially when it's time to swallow, it was rough in our throats. The rice was not good quality probably because of the rice shortage? Hey, that doesn't mean you have to feed your customers low quality rice! Also the freshlumpia was cold as corpse! What ever happened to The Max's that I know? We never had time to complain because our kid was already cryin and wanna go out of the restaurant. Not gonna eat there again fosho.

I know there are a lot of beef tapa available. What I want is the old style, the one sun dried and dark in color and dry when served. I found that in Max's. So this is my goto place for beef tapa. My wife however likes Kare-kare. You have kare-kare in Gerry's grill, at Contis and Gilligans however the bagoong of Max's is the best. Without the best bagoong your kare-kare is nothing. So panalo kare- kare dito.

Me an my fiance together with my family decided to eat at Max's Southmall. The ambiance was good. They have a friendly courteous staff that is always ready to assisst you. We ordered 4 fried Chickens and a Medium Rare steak. The Chicken was good but their Medium rare steak is to die for! Hasn't changed for decades! I hope they continue to set the same standards always.

There is often a waiting time to be seated and sometimes it does take 15 - 30 mins. Waiting for the food will be as long as well. Otherwise they have a great menu and even something for vegans.

Ate at Max's for my last meal in the Philippines -
Great for all of the non vegans in the group- tons of food choices and very reasonably priced.

Service was a bit slow but food was good. Your usual Max's restaurant. The crew were polite but am hoping for a faster action when you are requesting (e.g. condiments, water, etc). Could be better

We are a party of 8 including several kids so we get the family orders and add things to it. The staff is better than most in this city.
Good food and good staff we can't ask for more.

It was the birthday of my sister in law, so decided to order chicken, noodles and adobo rice. The food was really tasty especially the chicken which maintain its original taste. Their service crew was really attentive and helpful. While eating, you feel as if your someone special!

The only place I'd buy my chicken & pancit canton to bring home to my family! Dining in at a non-peak time is advisable. When it gets crowded orders tends to get delayed. So just go for take aways when its too crowded.

We usually eat here with family. Foreign based family members don't fail to visit Max whenever in town, be it a snack or formal meal. Of course fried chicken is always present, lumpiang sariwa, fried canton, and their halo halo. We never also fail to take home their pastries as pasalubong here and abroad.
