Cera's just opened last May and is quite a hit.
The name is in honor of the first parish of the town Fray Diego Cera dela Virgen del Carmen (popularly know as Padre Diego Cera or Fray Cera)
How to get there -
Easiest - Get a cab and have them drive you to bamboo organ church - its a few meters from there.
Using public transportation - From Manila - either take the Bus or the FX (UV express) from Lawton terminal going to SM southmall, alight at Zapote (just down the Zapote Flyover) and cross the street to the other side, from there hail a jeepney going to Baclaran Tambo or Kabihasnan (Don't take the Baclaran Coastal Jeepney) and tell the driver to drop you off at bamboo organ church - you can easily see the eatery at the left side of the street before you get to the church.
This eatery is very accessible as this is right on the street, a main road and you can't get lost since you would just easily notice this place. Its on the left side of the street if you are going to Manila and taking the old calle real or the Diego Cera Avenue (formerly Quirino Avenue).
Food:
Inihaw na Liempo (grilled pork belly) - i suggest you try this. One of their specialties and best if you try it grilled medium well. This comes with a sauce made from what looks like a gravy seasoned with pepper, basil and rosemary. You can order this a la carte or with rice.
Tapsilog (curred beef) - comes with rice and fried egg. This tender beef meal is famous as a breakfast but you can have it anytime of the day. They cook this to perfection that the beef is so tender and is complemented with spiced vinegar.
Barbeque- the marinate is to die for, and when grilled you can really love the smell. Tender and juicy and also best paired with rice
Chosuey - Stirred Vegetables - each veggies are blanch so you still get that crunch.
Crispy Pata - fried pork hind - a best pair with beer and they cook this so that the skin are so crunchy and crispy you cant get enough.
They serve beer by the bottle or by the bucket (8 bottles)
best come with family or friends as the locals are so nice and very accommodating
