Easy to get to and decent sushi, not the best, but standard.. I would return as the service was good and the atmosphere was nice as well... Kids and family voted the same..

Overall the food is okay. Standard American sushi fare. Terrible wine. Nice patio area. The service is good. Plenty of standard fare for people that don’t really eat sushi!

Having recently moved to the area we were ready to find a good sushi restaurant. This isn't the one. Our server was in another world, we need to ask for napkins, water, the check, and to wipe the table. The food took foreveeeeer to arrive...and the place wasn't even busy. The average rating is for the quality of some of their dishes. The Las Vegas roll, the jalapeno popper appetizers, the seasoned seaweed salad were all above average, however basics like spicy tuna and spicy salmon rolls were almost inedible. We'll continue our search for good sushi in the area, doubtful if we return.More

The food was very good and the servers were polite. We sat outside and it was quite comfortable. Will come back.

Visiting my mom and she took me to this wonderful casual small sushi restaurant on the way home from the airport. Don't pass it by just because it isn't a large place with fancy decor. The service and food were excellent. I included pictures of...most of our dinner. For sushi rolls - the Blue Flame roll is a must for crab lovers, and the California rolls for those who enjoy rolls that are not raw fish. The Korean BBQ short rib appetizers had the best, juicy caramelized flavor and texture. Chicken teriyaki was also delicious - tender with great flavor and perfectly cooked. The mixed tempura was also wonderful - few places master the art of crispy, tasty tempura like this restaurant. It was not greasy and was lightly coated with crunchy batter. We arrived there close to closing time and they could not have been more welcoming. We were not rushed, and our server let us take our time deciding. The only disappointment is I wish I lived in Goodyear because I would dine here weekly!More

My son and I shared the sushi n sashimi combo. Way more than enough food for two. Service was great. I would recommend it.

After a pleasant afternoon at the movies we de4cided to try a place that my wife had wanted to go and eat at in Goodyear, Az. for quite some time. This was Akai Hana, a Sushi eatery. Parking was easy at this place and it...was just about completely filled at 7PM, though the outside tables were plentiful and available. The place was laid out nicely with the cooking and preparation area in plain sight and every cook/prep person busy. The place was neat and clean and we decided to eat out on the patio enclosed area. It was a bit cool outside and the heaters were not ready to be used but we managed. It was some time before we had a waiter come to our table to see what we would like. Water was not brought but they took our drink order, which was lemonade for me and just water for my wife. We carried on a conversation for the ten minutes before our drinks were brought to the table. We finally had our meal order taken, my wife tried two different dishes and I had the Tempura Mixed plate, consisting of a salad,, shrimp and vegatables, and of course, rice. I assumed that the waiter was busy with all the people eating out at the place but another 10-15 minutes went by before our meals arrived at our table. The food was good, the presentation was very nice and we had a relaxed time to eat and have conversation. The place is located just off the Pebble Creek Parkway and there was some noise with traffic but our area was located behind bushes and it was not as bad. The waiter was friendly, though quite busy, and I think the place is worth another trip there in the future. The bill came to a bit over $57 dollars, including the tip. We did have dessert and we chose Machi, a sweet rice skins with ice cream inside of it and it was as good as we expected. We did also have a cup of Miso soup before we received our food and it was very nice. You also have a card to fill out if you wish rating the waiter, service, food, etc., which I did.More

Don't waste your time. Head to Nakama or Ah-So. The sushi was mediocre and our rolls fell apart. I wasn't impressed.

One of our favorites we visit every year when we visit AZ. Very good service and always friendly and attentive. Fresh raw fish and very nice extensive menu enhances the experience. Owners are always there to ensure quality and presentation. Always meets our expectations.
