Our mission is to serve delicious, healthy food in an environment that is conducive to sharing and caring. We believe that food should nourish us physically, emotionally and spiritually. Our dishes are inspired from Asian countries: Thailand, Japan, India, Indonesia, and China. We have an extensive vegetarian and vegan menu as well as a gluten free menu. Our Asian themed rooms gather together all the art work we have collected as well as those created by closed friends and frequent diners. Tin Jo is our third child and we are very involved owners. We love to interact with you, our customers and it is our sincere wish that your visit to our restaurant satisfies not only your senses but also uplifts your spirit. My girlfriend was sick so I went out alone to eat. The waiters allowed me to try my dodgy Spanish extremely politely. The restaurant has several rooms which are beautifully designed and this creates an elegant and peaceful environment. I chose to eat in the "garden" room which is a high ceiling room with a floor to ceiling waterfall, tropical plants and a balcony with low mood lighting. They have also strategically positioned plants between tables to create a sense of privacy.
Roma, my waiter, seemed to be on a one man mission to make sure I had everything I needed. He kept sneaking up on me like the ghost of a super polite butler to refill my water with ninja precision and effortless tact. The guy was an absolute legend. Superb!
The curry I had was good. I couldn't complain. They accommodated my request to make it vegan which was appreciated but I come from Birmingham, UK, home of a huge Asian community and where the Indian cuisine is phenomenal and this was not that.

Tin Jo is a most beautiful and high quality restaurant, with surprisingly tasty dishes! All seem to made at the highest level of expertise. Three visits in a row became an addiction! Stick with Chinese food dishes, and you will be pleased with the quality. Unless you absolutely love Salmon flavor would not order the Salmon, as it was a little sharp flavor wise. Hot and sour pork was so deliciously different from the US. Miso soup great too!

This restaurant was perfect for our getaway. We've been served by Marcel who was so much profonnestian and attentive.. make good recommandations for the food/coktail we shoud take. Love the differents room offerd by this place ( we were in the bamboo room)

Last night we had our second meal at Tin Jo. The first was a very good experience. Good food, good service, not overly expensive. What a contrast to the second experience.
We arrived at the restaurant at about 8.45pm. We asked for a table and they recognised us from our first visit and seemed pleased to accommodate us.
We ordered our first and main courses which arrived with such efficiency that we had barely started our first course when our second was thrust upon us with neither ceremony nor apology. The food was very good, as before. Barely half way through our main course, roughly thirty minutes after sitting down, we asked for some more wine when we were told that the restaurant was closed. We were quite sober and not happy! We battled through the rest of our rather hot Thai and Indian curries without a drink and we’re all but ushered out of the restaurant about forty five minutes after our welcome!
If the restaurant was closed, or about to close, they should not have accepted us. I can only imagine that this was pure greed of the part of the manager who allowed us in. He did not have the courage, or the decency to come over and explain himself that we could not order anything else and that he wanted us out. Instead he sent over a young waitress. Anymore wine, or water, pudding, or coffee was out of the question at 9.30pm.
Such a shame our repeat business was rewarded with such disdain. Not to be revisited.

In spite of having a reservation, we waited quite a while to be seated as the front desk person had disappeared. Finally got our table and had amazing spring rolls - absolutely top notch so we were really looking forward to our mains. My husband ordered the sweet and sour pork and I had stirfried shrimp and vegetables. My dinner was very good but my husband's was inedible. The pork was mainly gristle and had no taste. He left 95% of it. On the plus side, our server was great and very pleasant. So my advice would be to steer clear of the pork and stick to seafood.

The service was amazing! Everyone was very nice and friendly. The taste of the food was not as good as I’m used to in this restaurant. They served the food cold and when we asked to be reheated it came a little different than the first time. It will be a while before I come back again.

As mentioned by other reviewers before the food are expensive for its authenticity and quality. The "sambal" looks like a curry with added chillies. Big story on the menu of how the owners brought in her favourite food from South East Asia but in a very different taste of course. And for the dessert, 6 bananas and 3 ice cream per person. Seriously??

We were served the incorrect food. It was someone else’s order.
They said nothing!
When we questioned the food delivered, they apologised and delivered the correct order almost immediately. It was cold and flavourless.
We got the feeling that they were more interested in closing up the restaurant than providing good food.
A really disappointing experience.
It’s quite difficult to mess up an Asian meal, but they are way below standard.
Never to return.

We went for lunch on a Sunday and the restaurant was not very crowded. The food was good but not super impressive. We were tired of Costa Rican food so this was a nice switch. The curry was really good as well as the ramen soup.

Great food and excellent service. We have Orange Chicken. Mongolian Beef and Fish Pad Krapao and we were delighted. Taste was very excellent even the white rice and the fried rice with onion and eggs. The waitress Roma treated us with outstanding customers so as all the other staff members. Definitely a must go restaurant in San Jose

The food was very nice, we had tom ka gha and ramen, spring rolls, dumplings and others and it was delicious. The waitress was very friendly and polite. We sat in the patio garden and the atmosphere was enchanting.. a breath of fresh air compared to the craziness from the streets.

This was amazing food! We definitely splurged a little but it was totally worth it — had the Indian and Thai chicken curries as well as the Kheer and tamarind drinks and it was amazing and filling and we were able to eat it again the next day. We got delivery but the inside looked very nice as well, highly recommend!

I reserved a table hoping to secure a good location in one of the nice rooms, but they gave me the worst one, the last one in the back corner. Two entries, nothing more than regular. For wine, they offer you a half glass or a glass but the "one glass" is a quarter glass of normal-sized red wine, meaning that the half glass will be "one drink." Good main dishes, these maintain the usual quality because we ordered what we have ordered over the years (after almost two years of not coming), good size, good flavor, we ordered curries with a degree of spiciness that they did not match. the precision of before, which was repeatedly perfect. The service from the waiters was very good, which made me give it 3 out of 5. If not, it stays at 2. Depressed.

We dined in the newer section that was more open with a very high ceiling. Great atmosphere and even better food. Staff were very nice and responsive. Overall an excellent chooice if you are looking for Asian food in San Jose. Pura Vida!

Great variety of Asian dishes ranging from Vietnam, China, Japan, Korea, Indonesia, Thailand, etc. Good selection of vegetarian dishes. The restaurant is beautiful. I found it difficult to choose among the assortment of different dishes. My husband and I enjoyed.
