While we love Costa Rican and Caribbean food, our meal here was the best all week! Authentic Italian cuisine made with authentic ingredients and a wood-fired oven make a big difference. The cappelletti al ragu was excellent - House made pasta with creamy ricotta filling and a generous saucing of bolognese. The caprese appetizer features a generous portion of house-made mozzarella with fresh tomatoes and basil. The menu offers about 25 pizza choices, all of which are crispy-thin with the right amount of toppings. Drinks are generously sized with plenty of alcohol. The list of Italian wines is extensive and moderately priced. All of this plus excellent service, great bread and tables set right next to the crashing waves made for a wonderful evening. Highly recommend!

Really lovely restaurant with some sea facing seating. The staff were so friendly, warming and welcoming and all of them could speak an array of different languages - very impressive. It was my parents 25th wedding anniversary, so we came to celebrate. We didn’t have a booking but they were able to accommodate us. The drinks were fantastic, especially the Sangria and the Mojito. The cheese platter had some really lovely cheeses on it and the main meals - two pizzas and homemade pasta were also really lovely! I was so happy that they had homemade chilli oil too…no pizza place is complete without this :) the chilli oil was fab, as was the pizza. I can highly recommend the quality of the food and the standard of service. I’ve been trying to learn and improve my Spanish and the waitress was very patient with me which made me also feel at ease!
Thanks for a great dinner :)

Absolutely lovely evening in the restaurant. The position on the patio right by the sea was magical, no music, just the sound of the sea lulling us. We were craving European food and the pizzas did not disappoint, they were delicious. The highlight was definitely Daniel and his tales of the local animals nearby and Daniella the raccoon who was raised by him when he found her as an abandoned baby, she was so cute!

Contrary to our expectations and positive reviews, we were extremely disappointed by the quality of the pizzas which have nothing to do with real Italian pizzas. The dough is hard, not leavened, the filling is cheap: very small quantity and canned products: mushrooms, artichokes for example. We expect La 4 stagioni (see photo) to be well stocked with the 4 ingredients, but they each only occupy a quarter of the pizza, all in a very uneven way: more preserves than fresh (ham and sausages). We gave our opinion to the Italian restaurateur who provides the service and we were surprised by his defensive reaction. According to him, his pizzas are of quality because the products all come from Italy! Who can tell the difference between a can from Italy or elsewhere?!! Mr. restaurateur, the quality of a pizza is not just the origin of the products but it is a whole: the quality of the dough, the quality of the topping which must be at least provided and with fresh products. . If you don't have certain fresh products then offer other pizzas. Quality is not the quantity of pizzas offered but above all the quality of the products.
Finally the price is exorbitant: around €27 for a supermarket type pizza.
A shame !

We were guests here twice.
Here is our conclusion:
+ Great outdoor seating by the sea
+ Delicious food
+ Professional chef
- Expensive dishes (2x pasta tomato & bottle of water & a beer = €50)
- The chef's mood was sometimes unstable

Beautiful place, good cocktails and nice dishes; On the other hand the prices are really excessive; 35 euros for a pizza and 1 cocktail, this is by far the highest price we paid to eat in Costa Rica.
Worse, the service was deplorable as never before seen in this country yet so pleasant and benevolent: cold and dismissive welcome. error in taking order, absence of any smile etc...
In short, you understand, we strongly advise against this restaurant; there are so many others as good, cheaper and especially much friendlier.

We ate at Pizzeria Cahuita which is not just a pizzeria, it is a restaurant that has an amazing view of the ocean and serves great fish dishes, pasta and of course pizza. My husband and I had a dish so delicious that he asked to speak to the chef to thank her. Our grandchildren were very pleased with their pizza.

Saw the owner provided photos with fresh pasta and sausage. I ordered lasagna with extra bolognese, a mojito, and a side of sausage. My drink took forever to make. The waitress approached me and said, "the lasagne is pre made and you cannot get extra sauce." I asked if I could get a side of sauce, and she said no. Many minutes later, the waitress approached me and said there was no more sausage. I decided to leave at that point. The owner or manager passed me several times with a scowl during my lengthy wait for a drink. There have to better places to eat.

Reading your comment surely you have no idea how to prepare an Italian lasagna and this was clear from your request for an extra sausage. I would also like to clarify that an Italian pasta has its own recipe it is not a pizza in which you add or remove ingredients at random, a little food culture please

Beautiful outdoor seating with a view of the ocean a few feet away. The pizza was OK but their vegan options were slim. Would love more choices. Basically only pizza had vegan options and it was a set mushroom with other veggies which are not my favorite. Sangria was ok a bit too sweet.

We began visiting Cahuita 5.5 years ago, and now call Cahuita “home”. Pizzeria Cahuita serves excellent pizza and wonderful Italian dishes. The pizza crust is Napoli-style, the sauce has the right snap, and the toppings are fresh. The chorizo and cebolla is an absolute favorite, with just the right balance of stringy onions and real Italian sausage. The pastas are made on premises; both wheat and potato-based are superb. Gluten-free is available. The setting on the boardwalk patio is lovely, with the waves lapping immediately adjacent. Also a great spot for live music on occasion.
We eat here at least a once or twice a month, if not more often, and always dine here with guests. I don’t think you will be disappointed.

We stayed here at the Inn for 3 weeks, and after sampling almost every restaurant in Cahuita, the last week we ate exclusively at the Pizzeria Cahuita. It was far and away the best restaurant in the village. We had most everything on the menu, and we were never disappointed. The woodfired pizza was outstanding, but there was so much more than pizza...ravioli, homemade pasta with choice of sauces, fried shrimp, fried calamari, huge beautiful salads, lasagna, lobster from the woodfired oven (my husband had it three times!), grilled fish...one night I asked Guiseppe if he could make me some grilled vegetables, and oh, my! he brought out the most decadent platter of paper thin carrots/onions/peppers rolled in olive oil & breadcrumbs and roasted in the woodfired oven. So delicious. Can't wait to come back and do it all over again.

Superb place to eat good Italian food, the products are fresh, the staff welcoming. The place overlooks the beach, you eat with your feet in the water. There are vegan-vegetarian-gluten free options and children's menus. Nothing to say!

The dining experience right on the water was jaw dropping. The food was fantastic, we went there three times and ate all of their delicious homemade pastas and pizzas. They also have some good local craft beers if you want a break from Imperial, etc. loved this place!

We booked on the deck at sunset, the views we got were incredible.
Danielle served us (I think that's how it's spelled), excellent service, very special. We only ate pizza, we liked it a lot. He made an excellent recommendation for a wine, which he chilled first to serve at the appropriate temperature.
I recommend it and would return every time I go to Cahuita

Be sure to stop here while in the area. We had one of our best meals of a two week stay along the Caribbean coast of CR and ended up eating here twice during our stay. The pasta was especially delicious and we enjoyed the enthusiasm of the owner along with the private location of the restaurant.
