Definitely go to this restaurant in Cahuita! The food is excellent, probably the best we had on our trip. The ambiance is so cute and intimate and it’s nice to be away from the loudness of the Main Street. Everyone was very kind and friendly.

We visited this restaurant for dinner while we were in Cahuita area during our Costa Rica trip. The atmosphere was nice and the food was good (both taste-wise and portion-wise). The price was a bit high and I was expecting a bit more options on...the menu both in terms of food and drinks. Only for these 2 reasons I am not giving a 5-star review.More
This was the best restaurant in Cahuita. The prices were a little high, but the service, presentation and quality were very good. It is a small family-run business right on the main street of Cahuita. We enjoyed our first visit which was just drinks and...appetizers so we went back a few days later for breakfast. Great coffee and they offered refills. The matriarch was extremely friendly, welcoming and had a great laugh. Highly recommended.More
Nice atmosphere, expected food to be more local Caribbean food. Meal was ok but because of good ratings here had higher expectations!
During our short stay in Cahuita we went twice to las Olas for it was the best food we had in the area. The products used are of excellent quality, the dishes are refined and everything we had was delicious. The restaurant is housed in...a typical and beautiful small house with a lovely terrace, right in the center of town. Great and very pleasant service, best food in town!More
We went to Las Olas twice in a row during our stay in Cahuita. Super delicious and very friendly staff. Nice place to sit outside. By far the best restaurant we went to during our stay in Cahuita.
Among the smaller restaurants in Cahuita, we liked it so much for breakfast we reserved there for New Year’s Eve dinner. This is a great breakfast place … particularly if you’re like us … eat a hearty breakfast, have only a small early afternoon snack...and an early moderate evening meal. The breakfast was very generous in portions. We probably could have shared one entree rather than each ordering one. The omelettes were 3 eggs, lots of bacon, fruit and toast. Along with juice and coffee we were well satisfied. Probably one of the best parts of the morning meal was meeting Leila, our waitress, who has lived in Cahuita for decades, is very friendly, quite chatty if you’re willing to engage and has more knowledge about the area and things to do than the guidebooks!! She’ll even give you recommendations about who to contact about what activities. We got the inside scoop on touring the indigenous Bribri reserve and booked based on her recommendation!! Our New Year’s Eve meal was by candlelight … not just because it made it romantic but also because the power was out in the block where Las Olas is located!! There were candles on the tables and even the kitchen was operating by candlelight which is amazing given the meals they turned out!! We had a large green salad between us along with steak and French fries. It was, as expected based on our breakfast experience, delicious. The dinner staff are just as friendly, chatty and entertaining as was Leila and were even forgiving when I knocked our candle off the table and into the garden leaving our table in the dark!! Fortunately, the candle went out while falling so we didn’t leave the place in a pile of ash and they kindly provided another candle … this one in a candle holder that I couldn’t knock over!! This restaurant and the staff get a very high recommendation from us.More
We had beef and chicken with Caribbean sauce, which came with beans, rice, vegetables, salad and patacones. The food and the service was good.
The chevice was a lot of onion and lemon, the pasta was overcooked and the pargo was not fresh. Bottom line they don't accept credit cards....and we know that in CR it's not legal....
Excellent evening. Food extremely good with large portions. I had avocado salad to start and the tuna steak as main. Our friends had a good variety of other dishes all good. Atmosphere great. Full for a Wednesday. Like a lot of Costa Rican restaurants a...limited wine list however both the Chilean Chardonnay and Sauvignon were ok. Service very good.More
This place is a little pricey for a Costa Rican meal, but was SO GOOD. We had chicken Alfredo, a pricy tomato pasta, grilled chick and a veggie plate. Everyone loved their food and would highly recommend. They are a cash only establishment, but worth...the price. There was a large portion and the food was great! We would go there again.More
This seafood restaurant is on the corner of two roads. It is close to what I live and beach. We ordered a fish and seafood pasta. Food are fresh and large amount of food for my mom and me. Both of us can’t finish what...we ordered. The most inconvenience is the restaurant doesn’t accept credit cards. When I went into the restaurant, I didn’t see the notice. If I know the restaurant doesn’t accept credit card, I will go to other restaurants.More
Great food, great service. Best seafood platter in our 3 weeks vacation in costa rica You can only pay cash, so we almost came into trouble. In the end we gad enough money to pay but the waiter made us feel comfortable all the time....Would eat here again. Great restaurantMore
This restaurant was really good. Not only was the food delicious, but the waiter was nice. I can't think of any drawbacks since both the price and the quality were great! Este restaurante nos encantó, tanto el precio como el servicio, como, obviamente, la comida.
My daughter and I loved our meals - chicken fillet and seafood fettuccine. We would definitely recommend. Friendly and helpful staff. (Cash only.)
