A unique and wonderful place. Food artistically prepared and culinary perfect. Save room for dessert!

This is a wonderful restaurant if you want small tapas or full meals. The food and drinks are superb and the service is always great.
Located on stilts across from the beach road, you might miss this if you were not looking for the sign. That would be a real shame! They serve "small plates" which are bigger than a tappa and each plate is its own treat. We had...seafood, beef, and other yummy bites and enjoyed each very much. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu.More
We kept passing this place to and from our hotel, and finally decided to give it a try on our second-to-last night there. OMG we were blown away!! We are foodies, and this was honestly one of the best meals we've ever had, anywhere. The...signature tuna dish is spectacular, as are the lobster summer rolls. To die for. For appetizers, get the butter naan (so simple and so delicious!) and the whipped goat cheese. All so, so good that we went back again the next night, our last night there. HIGHLY recommend this place for a spectacular dinner, and in a treehouse-like setting!More
We have been to Ginger twice in 11 years. Loved it both times. It’s in a nice setting; service is excellent. It’s tapas with an Asian theme. They recommend that each person order 2 items. We added a third and were very pleased. Salad is...good, seafood was great. And the best part: a beautiful pavlova for dessert. And they have tawny port! Already anticipating our third visit.More
AMAZING! Beautiful setting, fabulous food and best service. Alex is a superb host/waiter and gave great recommendations. We loved the filet, firecracker shrimp, Margherita pizza, calamari and spring rolls. Dessert is a must.
The food was incredible and the staff super attentive considering we arrived late and without a reservation. The cocktails are great as is the beef plantain!
The most amazing Asian fusion style cuisine! Very reasonably priced and the location/ setting is beautiful. Lovely ambience and would most definitely visit again.
Two adults one 9 year kid, ordered lobster summer rolls, dorado dorado, pot stickers, chiken fingers, asían tacos and the fltabread of the day. Enough food for dinner time, amazing customer service, wonderful location, parking and pretty much all you expect. Reservations are a good...idea. Have fun!More
An interesting menu of indian and Asian dishes that are so small that you have to order 3 per person as a minimum which means a $200 bill. Crazy expensive for a restaurant in the middle of a busy road. Captive audience. Food was ok...but felt a little worse the day after.More
Open air tapas restaurant. Five of us probably ordered 10 dishes. Each one was delicious. I especially liked the filet mignon. Would highly recommend.
This was our second trip to Costa Rica and we ate at Gingers multiple times each trip. Everything we ordered was fresh and delicious, including the Asian tacos, filet mignon, mahi bites, and the tuna. The drinks are also fantastic. I highly recommend a trip...to Gingers if you are in Playa Hermosa.More
This was one of many recommended restaurants that I kept hearing about in travel forums that we decided to visit. And like practically all the other hyped restaurants, it just wasn't that great. Maybe it's an atmosphere or vibe thing but we weren't really into...the food and drinks. One margarita was enough and the plate of ginger tuna was really not that great for a signature dish. I get no satisfaction from bing in the cool/hip/pricey places. Probably a better fit for urban folks and not adventure-loving travelers.More
We enjoyed most of the tapas we had but paid $200 for dinner for our family of 4 (which was way more than I was expecting). One of the $12 tapas I ordered had four tiny spring roll pieces. Others were more hearty and we...liked more - the patatas bravas were great!More
Wow! What a fun and delicious meal. The open air dining area is unique and beautiful but the food was the most impressive part. We were so into our meal that we forgot to take pictures of our beautiful and delicious plates. We had the...butter nan, Thai red curry beef (personal favorite), Bengali sea bass (so fresh and flavorful), ahi tuna, and Mongolian ribs. I could have eaten here every night!More
