Greatest Coffee Corner in Coco! We're open everyday from 7am to 5.30pm offering a wide variety of coffee drinks, hot and cold, using some of the best coffee in Costa Rica. We also offer fresh fruit smoothies, fruit drinks, salads, bagels, paninis, baked goods and our mouth watering waffles! We have indoor and outdoor seating, a/c, free WiFi, a library with book exchange and an assortment of games to play with family or friends! Come visit us!

Love this place! I’ve tried many items on their menu and it does not disappoint. Great atmosphere and friendly staff. Protein drinks, hot and cold coffee drinks, and smoothie bowls are all a favourite of mine. A must visit if you’re in the area. See posted menu.

Ate here a couple of times. Smoothies are great! Enjoyed a bagel with avocado on the first visit and Belgian waffles on the second. Highly recommend both. We ate outdoors and found the service fast and friendly.

My wife and I came here for coffee every morning during our week in Coco. Everything we had from here we enjoyed very much. Staff were so kind and welcoming we cannot wait to come back next time we are in Coco.

We had the banana berry açaí bowl, English muffin with ham and avocado and waffles and all were delicious. Coffee was good. Only annoying thing is they don’t have a Spanish menu and the lady taking orders doesn’t speak English! Doesn’t make sense.....

We’re new in Playas del Coco. We don’t speak spanish and dealing with american money and colones is sometimes challenging. At Java, this week, the only thing we got there was the latte at 2000 colones on the menu. 4 days in a row, 4 different prices ranging from 2200 to 2650, always the same person at the counter. We now get our coffee somewhere else.

Very slow service, short staff as always.
You spend more than 30 min for a coffee and see other
clients clining the tables.
I’ve been living in town for the lasts 4 years and never l’ ve never seen the owners taking care of it.
The ladies that work there do their best, but need support and help during high season.

Loved the waffles!I had a coffee and was shocked when they wanted me to pay for the milk. Thought that was odd. I went twice and tried a smoothie. It was fine. Nothing to rave about. It looks like its trying to be eclectic, but looks like it needs a remodel. Staff was friendly enough.

Thank you for your visit and taking the time to comment. We're happy you enjoyed the waffles and coffee! I'm sorry about the extra charge for the milk... it's an expensive cost down here and it's not fair for a black coffee lover to pay for it. It's easier to add the cost than to reduce! We try to accommodate everyone! Come back soon!

As first time visitors to the area, we appreciated the convenience of walking to this quaint coffee shop. It has a friendly vibe. We placed our order inside and enjoyed the air conditioning and the option to sit or take advantage of their book library. They also have a little space for kids to hang out. Menu has a variety of coffees, breakfast, and snacks to choose from. We sat outside and our meals were delivered to us in a reasonable time. Iced coffees were super tasty and generous in their size - welcomed chill. Breakfast was warm, tasty and their hot sauces are delicious. We bought a bottle to go! If you’re looking for a good coffee and bite - this is the place in this area!

Speciality coffee from Costa Rica high grounds, you can taste an original Costa Rican brew method called La Bandola that finishes in a first class coffee, totally recommended!

Go-to place for coffee and breakfast in Coco! I didn't try the lunch food but they opened up a new seating area just as we were leaving which looked nice.

Our 14 yr old son and his friend loved having breakfast here. They loved the smoothies and bagels. We enjoyed the coffee. Perfect location if you're staying in Las Palmas!

Java is my go-to spot for smoothies and coffee. The staff is fantastic. Everything is delicious. If you are staying in Las Palmas I highly suggest it.
