For locals, travelers, or anyone in between look no further than Naans and Curry for your next meal. They are a short walk from Playa del coco beach, placed inside a beautiful glass front building. Once you enter you are immersed into the Indian Culture. Beautiful artwork on the walls and decor hanging from the ceiling. Quiet calming music and greeted by the wait staff that are friendly and able to recommend dishes for any palate.
We choose the Aaloo Chana Quinoa Chaat, a chickpea salad that is fresh and full of flavor. We also did the Samosas and the Bread basket. Both items were so fresh prepared and some of the best we have had. We also added the Scallops coconut Curry, which packed the best flavor and well cooked scallops. Plus the curry was great to dip the naan into.
We finished it off with a turmeric milk tea accompanied by their flan. I’ve never had Indian Flan. But oh my, it was fantastic.
The waiter brought us wet hand towels at the end of the meal, which if you have little kids, they will love the magic with this experience.
At the end of everything we got a bowl of what I’d say is the most interesting palate cleanser. Even this was amazing.
Don’t skip this place during your Costa Rica experience. Bring yourself, partner, family. There’s so much to love. Pura Vida!

We were excited to try out this new restaurant in Coco. I’m happy to say we enjoyed an excellent dinner with excellent service in a fantastic location. They are located in a new building under our favorite attorneys (PSC), and they did a great job with the decor and interior. In my opinion they are one of, if not the, best restaurants in Coco for atmosphere.
We tried a number of different dishes, and everything was fresh and tasty. We are primarily plant based, and we had a large number of options to choose from. Check out their menu online, and I’m betting that you will find something that will get you excited. For us, it was their Pani Puri - we love good chaat. But everything that we had was delicious. Also, we like our food spicy, and I find that unless you’re eating in a south Asian community restaurant they never get the spice level right. They nailed it.
Lastly, this is a new restaurant, and usually with new restaurants they’re working out the bugs, and the service or food will miss. Not the case here. Service was impeccable, ambiance was great, and food was tasty. This place is going to the place to go in Coco for a great meal.

Food was fabulous, atmosphere relaxing and our waiter Gustavo was a delight. He helped us pick a unique array of plates that we all thoroughly enjoyed, even our husbands who were skeptical had seconds! Highly recommend!

I ordered Chicken Korma at 7,990 Colones and was served the standard dish without rice. I asked for rice and was charged 3,290 Colones for about 5 pence worth of rice. I've ordered Indian food in Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia, North and South America, and never had it served without rice. This is the only place where I've ever been charged an absorbent amount for a few cents worth of rice. When I asked the manager, I was told that that's just the way it was. I avoid any place that tries to sneek in extra cost to double their profit and encourage everyone else to avoid this place like the plague until they fix this practice.

Thank you for your visit and for the opportunity to serve you. We are sorry that you felt this way. At Naans & Curries we serve ONLY longest grain aromatic basmati rice imported from India. We have several dishes with this speciality basmati rice, from sealed pot biryanis, pulaos and classic steamed options. We also have large menu of fresh flat bread Naans to enjoy with our main course curries. Our guests order them seperately, as per their preference. In our menu, we have clearly marked sections with all these details. Seems you missed to note it. Namaste🙏🏼

We loved our lunch at Naans and Curries. We don’t know much about authentic Indian food but the waiter was so nice and helpful. We started with the Pakoras, crispy fried vegetable balls with mint, mango, and tamarind dipping sauces. Very good. We shared the lamb curry, jasmine rice, and naan. It was such a nice lunch with white cloth napkins, authentic brass serving ware and ended with warm towels for wiping your hands. We will go back. Nice atmosphere and an excellent waiter.

Excellent chicken tikki Marsala. Also very friendly. Service. Great service and experience. I highly recommend! Our server noticed my wife was feeling a bit faint and brought he a special infused lemonade.

This spot is wonderful for dinner. I stopped in with a few friends of mine and we all had such great food. I had the garlic butter naan with lamb dum biryani which I HIGHLY recommend, they serve it in a pot that’s meant to seal the flavors in and it definitely did not disappoint. Honestly one of my favorite meals I’ve had in Costa Rica!

The food was so flavorful , large portions complete with friendly service. We came with our teenage boys and we all left satisfied and raving about wanting to come back! So glad we stopped in. We’ll be back on our next visit to Costa Rica. Thanks for having us!

From the second you walk in to the beautifully decorated dining area you are transported to a royal palace with ambient lighting, Hindi songs playing in the background, and a comfortable temperature. This place is a feast for all your senses. The food was delicious, with plenty of options for vegans, vegetarians, pescatarians, and carnivores. We have enjoyed Indian food across some of the best places in the US, and several in India, and Naans & Curries would easily rank up there with the top! My kids love it so much they want to return before we leave CR.

We came across this restaurant while in Del CoCo and the staff here is so hospitable and attentive specially Dharmendra . The food on top of it ,was so delicious . The Daal Makhni was to dies for and the Chicken tikka trio was gone in minutes .

What a great hidden gem... Great authentic Indian food in Costa Rica! We had the Butter Chicken, and Chicken Tikka Masala, both with large tender chunks of Tandoori cooked boneless chicken breast, as well as the Shrimp Curry, with Naan and Basmati rice. All were perfectly seasoned and had just the right touch of heat. Plentiful portions and very reasonably priced!

Best indian food I've eaten. Try the chefs recommandations in the menu look for the little chef's hat. We had more than enough and a box for lunch next day. Thank you naans & curries for overachieving our expectations, not many restaurants does nowadays.

After arriving in Coco beach at an odd hour for dinner (2pm) we were looking for a place to eat and were lucky to find this Indian restaurant that has not only extensive hours, but possibly the best Indian food that we have ever had. The attention and service given to us was so gracious. The menu had such a large variety, that it was difficult to choose dishes. We did end up with enough food left to take out for a second meal.

Naans & Curries was an exceptional experience for us when visiting Playa Del Coco, Costa Rica.
The restaurant is at the quieter end of the Main Street, towards the Auto Mercado supermarket.
It is enclosed, with great AC, which is a bit of a rarity in that area. The decor was really stylish, better than most nice city restaurants.
The food was first class, water ice cold, and the service top notch.
I think our favorite dish, which we ordered with our appetizers, was a lamb chop masala that came sizzling on a platter.
It was spectacularly tasty.
For those unfamiliar with Indian food, this item didn’t have spice just amazing flavor.
We ordered our entrees medium spice and it was just a little bit of spice.
The entrees were consumed quietly, and quickly!
We tried this amazing dessert Kulfi, it was creamy and perfect after dinner.
Everything was just so good - we may come back for a long weekend just to visit Naans & Curries!
