This restaurant was in the perfect spot. Our waiter, Conner, couldn't have been nicer. There were six of us and all were very satisfied! I even tried the fried green tomatoes and liked them and I normally hate tomatoes!!

This week was my first experience at Commerce Kitchen. We made reservations online with OpenTable which was very nice. The dining room is really well lit and decor was classy and upscale, we would have been seated in the center aisle at a two top...but it was kind of exposed and awkward - we chose a little booth in the front window. The host was gracious to seat us there. Our server Sarah was sweet and polite and knew her drinks and menu. We ordered the fried green tomatoes, fried goat cheese salad, coffee ground steak with asparagus and oven roasted potatoes. The Argentina Malbec was very good - and so was the Manhattan I have passed this restaurant many times on the square and always wanted to try. It’s very nice. As far as the neg reviews, I wish ppl would give restaurants a break during this pandemic, they are trying. Be understanding, be nice. Work a shift then you’re review would be a little nicer 👍More

My wife and I came here on a Sunday evening for our anniversary. dinner. It was their "Sunday Supper" (i.e., prix fixe) menu. It included A starter to share, a salad (each), a good selection of entrees, and a dessert (each). for $35 (each). The...food and service were very good. Our server was very pleasant and efficient. It was the best dining I've experienced in Huntsville.More

Sharp waiter, outdoor seating, fried oyster starter, ahi tuna salad all phenomenal. Commerce Kitchen moved to number one on my wife and I Huntsville restaurant tour.

We did not have a good experience. Our server came and stated water would be on its way, and asked did we want other drinks. We ordered a lemonade, sprite, and mimosa. We never received the waters. When our food came, that person asked about...our drinks so he could refill them. We had sat the sprite to the end of the table because something was floating in it. Another person came and bought out another lemonade Our server came to the table and started pouring water in the empty lemonade glass and the sprite glass (which was not empty). We tried to tell her that we did not have any water glasses, and tried to explain the situation with the drinks (something in the sprite, we never got water, etc). She didn't seem to care. She bought one small cup of water to the table, and another sprite (that again had something floating in it - it looked like the stem from grapes). At this point, we were just ready to leave. Regarding the food: the shrimp and grit were not good. The shrimp was overcooked and dry. I have never had shrimp and grits that were dry.More

Three months in Huntsville and this is the best meal we have had so far. Salmon was great. Only hiccup was the rice was slightly undercooked. Great flavor though. Crabcakes were solid. We will be back.

The food was very good but the wait for our food was not acceptable. We had an early reservation, got seated, then ordered drinks and salads. Our salads came out fine but it was two full hours from our reservation time when our food finally...came out! We had 6.5 hours on the road to get to Huntsville. We were tired, and this delay was not good as it prevented us from visiting the nearby park and checking on our dogs sooner. Server came by several times but never offered a free drink or appetizer for our wait. Hard to give a rating when the wait time was not really acceptable but my rating is for the food, not the dining experience.More

The atmosphere was nice. We were set outside with fresh air and a heater. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. The roasted red pepper and chicken soup was delicious. We have fried green tomatoes/pimento cheese( it was good), appetizer tacos ( it was ok),...half chicken/polenta/Broccoli ( it was good but could make it at home), collard greens( fantastic. Seasoned perfectly), bourbon brownie( can't remember the exact name. Was Great but very heavy.) All in all, it was good but would go somewhere else in the future.More

My wife and I had brunch here on Saturday. The menu selection is varied. I chose the granola crusted stuffed French toast. It was outstanding. It may have been the best French toast I’ve ever had. It tops the bananas Foster French toast I had...in New Orleans. That’s an incredible compliment. We really enjoyed the outdoor seating. Commerce Kitchen is always a pleasure to visit.More

We were deciding between Cotton Row and Commerce Kitchen. We went with this one because they had more menu options. We had the hot chicken bites and the fried goat cheese salad as appetizers. To be quite honest, that would have been enough food for...me! The hot chicken bite dish was a large portion. They were really good too! My companion had shrimp & grits and I had the filet. I asked for it to be cooked with 'just a little pink'. Unfortunately it came out entirely pink on the inside (more like medium rare), which wasn't so appealing to me so I didn't eat a lot of it. We had the peanut butter chocolate pie for dessert which was amazing. Service was great. Wine choices were average. I love wine and esp like to have good options when eating a meal this nice.More

There is a public parking lot just diagonally from Commerce Kitchen (across from the church). Very convenient.
