Dinner for two at a very safe choice of chain restaurant. February 2021

We travel quite a bit and have always felt comfortable stopping at Cracker Barrels. This visit to the Dothan AL site was our first for this restaurant. The greeting and seating at a "table" was exactly as requested and social distancing was affirmed. Our choices of catfish entrée and another of chicken fried steak were delivered to the table hot and tasty. The service was great and the manager on duty stopped by our table for a pleasant visiting. We continue to praise Cracker Barrel as a consistently favorable choice for meals.

Family Visit

We stopped at this Cracker barrell on Monday afternoon 2/2/20 and again on 2/5/20 for dinner. our waitress was good for both visits and we recieved our drinks promptly. We enjoyed our meals as all meals were hot and delivered promptly.

Cracker Barrel is not about tastebud bending cuisine. It is about consistency, comfort, and casual get togethers with Family & Friends. The Dothan Cracker Barrel is the perfect place to share a meal with Family & Friends. The staff is friendly and the food is consistently good. Good sized portions of food that leaves you happy and full! A nice stop when travelling or a good place to share some conversation and a good meal when you are just driving around town.

Not up to pre-COVID standards. Greatly disappointed.

Waited 50 minutes to be seated. That was expected due to large crowd. However, we sat at our table for another 20 minutes before our order was taken. 30 minutes later, no food no silverware, no bread and drinks were empty. We were told food would be out in a few minutes. When it arrived, some items were cold and many were barely warm.

Horrific Experience

The service was very poor, we had to ask for napkins, silverware. Ordered a sampler only to get it at the same time as we got our barely warm meal. Asked for hot sauce and never got it. Horrible experience 11/09/2023.

Chicken and dumplings

Bland no color no vegetables the worst chicken and dumpling I ever had, no carrots no spices, dumplings where dense and doughy.

Great Lunch

We were traveling though AL and stopped for lunch. The food and service were excellent. My husband enjoyed the meatloaf and I enjoyed the hamburger steak. Thank you for a goof lunch during our road trip.

Horrible Experience.

When we arrived here, my wife went to the hostess stand to put our name on the list as my mother and I browsed the store. My wife walked up to me and said it would be around a 15 minute wait. That was at 1:48 EST. We left at 4:05 EST and it only took us 15 minutes to actually consume our food. The food was ok, not bad but not anywhere as good as Cracker Barrel used to be. The service was horrendous. Our waitress NEVER took our order. An lady who was working her tail off in that area asked us after we had been seated for almost 10 minutes had we been seen to. We said no so she took our drink order and when she brought the drinks back a minute later she got our food order and told us who our server was supposed to be. We got our bread from our server 30 minutes later. We got our order almost an hour AFTER WE ORDERED, not after we sat down but AFTER WE ORDERED. We were waited on by our server 3 times. She never even came close to where we were seated until the bread was brought out. Did I mention that no fewer than SIX tables that were seated after us had already received their orders. At least two of those other tables had not been seated earlier than 20 minutes AFTER we had been seated. I know it was busy but no one else in our section had to wait anywhere as long as we did. No manager came over to check, no one apologized except the nice lady who took our order even though we were not assigned to her. I passed the manager on the way out and I was looking visibly upset and all he said was have a good day and quickly walked away. This is the reason I stopped going to Cracker Barrel for the last three years. But the women wanted to try it so I relented. This company has really sunk in quality. I will not be back anytime soon and I will never visit this location again. There were more mishaps that occurred but I’m too upset to go on and I’ve already had enough time wasted by these geniuses. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Not the fastest

Well after we ordered, it took 65 minutes to get our food. Our server was great, she told us the kitchen was messing up orders. Which backed the diner. If you go here, do not be in a hurry!

Run to Cracker Barrel for the Holiday fried turkey

The limited time only for the holidays fried turkey with herb gravy is the best turkey I have ever ate. Comes with green bean casserole & cranberry sauce. Ask for extra gravy, it is delicious!!!

Oh my... worst Cracker Barrel ever

Wow, never have I had to wait so long to get food at a Cracker Barrel. It took nearly 45 minutes to get our food. They were busy but I’ve never been to one that wasn’t. The servers also need a bit more training, if you have full pitchers of drinks, go to neighboring tables and refill, it takes no time to do this extra courtesy for your teammates and customers. Food was fine once it arrived but damage was already done at that point.

A Busy Day

We picked a bad time to stop by because the restaurant was packed. Go for them but bad for us. After a 25 minute wait we were seated and rest went relatively smooth.

A Little Disappointing

Took our brother in law out for dinner here. The service was the worst we have ever had. We were there almost two hours. Everything from missing napkins, straws, refills, delivery of food and lateness of check ruined the dinner. We love their menu, but not this restaurant

Delicious as Always!

As always, we were pleased with our meals at a Cracker Barrel Restaurant. Our servers were pleasant and helpful. We had delicious meatloaf and grilled haddock with a variety of sides which met our restricted diets very well. We ended with slices of no-sugar apple pie with ice cream. Yummy!
