I have been to Moti Mahal Delux quite a few times and felt that I must review it again. One of the differences between a good restaurant and a great one is consistency and Moti Mahal Delux excelles in this area. Their service has always been impeccable and food quality is of the highest. They have quite a few options to choose from-- A corporate lunch to choose from, which is brilliant value for money and they have now introduced Tandoori pizzas which are thin crust and perfectly flavoured.
We went as a corporate group and were given a private room which can seat upto 20 people which is great. Their interiors have been redone and the place looks fantastic and bright. Well located in Nungambakkam with valet parking.

I visited this restaurant with my colleagues for a Buffet Lunch, I felt sorry for selecting this restaurant. The service and the servings are very poor and the buffet spread was not so hot and fresh.Poor guys keep on saying sorry and each and every time we have to ask for the servings and the staff were pathetic and helpless. We had booked the table for 8 people and it took us 2 hours to leave with a disappointed experience. No parking place and no valet also added disadvantage of this food joint

My memories of Moti Mahal is from 1960's at Daryanganj Delhi,a favourite of my father and the family. The Tandoori Chicken,Butter chicken, kebabs,Black Dal and Nans were always terrific, and we were regulars.
We had heard about in Chennai, and it is very close to our place. So a group of friends ,ten of went for their buffet lunch. It was a DISASTER
There is a Soup starter, they served a Chinese soup, and gave one of our VEG friends Soup with Chicken pieces.
The 4 veg starters had only 2 Indian,Paneer and Tandoori Aloo, the other 2 starter were Chinese. The Non veg had only 1 Indian Starter Chicken Malai, the others were again Chinese.
So much so a friend of ours asked the Staff,if we were eating Indian or Chinese food.
The buffet was Ok,in Veg the Kofta curry was good and Mutton in Non Veg.
None of their signature dishes Tandoori Chicken,Butter Chicken , Kebabs or even Black Dal was served.
Very unhappy lunch and none of were satisfied.
The Service by the staff was good, but for some reason the Manager was least bothered about our complaints/issues

Moti Mahal Delux is a part of the chain of Moti Mahal restaurants present in several parts of India. The original restaurant was started in Delhi in 1920. Everything about this place is awesome - the food, the ambience, the service, the pricing !!! One can relax and have a lovely meal with friends, family or colleagues. They have both buffet as well a la carte meal options. One must try the signature Moti Mahal black dal or dal makhani and paneer tikka masala in veg.

The food is good and tasty though the non veg preparaton and portions leave a lot to be desired. Veg dishes are good especially the paneer dishes are awesome. Rest the nanas are tatsy and you must try naanand kulcha variants

Went on for a lunch here and chose to go with lunch buffet. Since we had went on a week day and we could find items less compared to weekends. But the served things were good and ambience also was great. Buffet at a reasonable rate and the service was good. Nice place to go as a group of members to have fun and preferable on weekends. Thanks

Had a buffet lunch with family at Moti Mahal Delux last month - the place was quite empty for a Sunday. We ordered the non veg buffet and I would say the soup and starters made it a very good decision. The hot and sour chicken soup was spicy and thick. In starters , the kebabs and chilly chicken were extremely good and completely recommended. Fish starters and veg starters were OK. The main course had chicken, mutton, crab, prawn curries along with Chicken Biriyani. So one had enough choices. Especially liked the mutton gravy and goan fish curry...in desserts they had carrot halwa, gulab jamun and ice creams which the whole family enjoyed. Overall a very satisfactory buffet outing for us !!
