Restaurant is really good, staff is nice and professional. The ambiance is amazing and service is to point. They have lots of offer on food and beverage. The portion size of the food is good and justifies the price of each dish. They have variety...of dishes.More
Hamsa is a great restaurant especially the vegetarian mains were delicious more than starters. The waiter Aiyappan and supervisor Arul were outstanding and took good care of us ..the subz briyani was very very tasty 😋. We asked the left overs to pack but they...missed out the subz briyani that was a little disappointing when we opened the parcel at home . Otherwise a clean 9/10More
Falls flat ... We wanted to try a premium veg cuisine..unfortunately food was stale Right from the roasted aloo soup to starters to si called hamsa special coconut rice with paneer and finally lilytchee coconut milk Thandai Every item was below par..I don't like wasting...food..but ended up due poor quality.. Services were good..and ambience was also nice. Food is overrated..infact it's terrible..More
We Booked a Table cause we believed some woman who was jobless but her only timpass was Posting Instagram Videos, What she Described and What we saw there are entirely Dofferent, To Begin with, The Restaurent Did not Have Dedicated Parking, We were asked to...Park our car on a Dark Street, 2ndly The whole Building was in Renovation and Covered in Dust & Filth, 3rdly The Place is Quite small and Conjested, The Menu has very very Limited options 75% of which are only Panner Based, The Names were not understandable and The Taste was all Screwedup with their own Experiments on Food, Nothing was good but the Garlic Nan was Edible, As shown in the Videos nothing is Served in Silver except the welcome sweet which feels like a DRIED IN THE SUN GULABJAMOON, Finally 1 word to say: THE FIRST 4000/- I WASTED IN 2023.More
One of the worst experience we had on Dec 26th 2022(2-3 pm)extremely overrated and hyped . Well we visited Hamsa in Adyar , we were asked to wait downstairs where heavy construction was going on for solid 20 mins around 1:50 pm it was only...us and no one else were waiting . We finally went to have lunch , we were given one of worst basic chairs which was covered with black cloths. Entire restaurant had different chairs but only it was us given this kind of chaos , when I enquired the same with managers his name is “”’’“Raju “‘’ ( one with black coat and spectacles) he was very very rude and sarcastic spoiled the entire vibe of eating . He made us feel as if we came to eat food for free. Then some one came to take the order , I do not eat paneer and butter instead of working around he was blunt …..told us this is what we have … for boasting to be high end restaurant they lack people skills and communication. Every one has different choices and making small changes can go long way along with respect and acknowledging customers food habits . Only reason I did not walk out after all this ……as my friend was hungry and did not wish to create a scene . If management wants proof , they can check cc TV cameras between 2pm to 3pm . Some coconut paysam was good other than food is really bad . People need to retrained how to behave ,”””treat poeple with dignity and respect “‘“‘“‘’. Most importantly understanding customers what they eat and what they won’t be comfortable not eating . These guys fail at multiple levels . Note to management : you are not reachable…. Sir no point in expanding when you fail to look into what’s going on now …. Treat this as wake up call . Try and do some damage control .More
To begin with the staffs they were too kind and professionalistic. Booked a table for 20 people on Sunday and we had a warm welcome. The food was outstanding and was served hot in order. A cozy ambience, wonderful silver finishing was the top notch...of the restaurant. The staffs were kind enough to secure my baggage as I missed it. Overall I would suggest you all to enjoy the royal food which was amazing. As the name says HAMSA - HAMSAMANA FOOD.More
We had the stove private dining room. It was an experience like no other! Everything was silver including the door, the art in the walls, and every vessel in which food was served! The food was amazing with so so many dishes. We were just...sad, that we couldn’t finish the food as the portion sizes were so huge; even with our empty tummy! The service was very good. Very calm cordial! The booking process was also tremendously easy using WhatsApp!More
Went with family for lunch. All of us were awed by ambience to begin with. We were taken in by surprise when we were served with welcome sweet nicely ensconced in well decorated and ornate clothes. Ordered thali with Butter Naans and Rotis. The food...was served in exquisite German silverware. Beautiful. Food was very tasty to our palates. The quantity adequate but good enough to be sumptuous. Service enormously courteous and polite. Led by the restaurant manager, Raju to every attendant were kind and soft. Thanks team. Overall, a wonderful culinary experience. Thanks guys for this.More
I hosted a dinner for a small gathering of 8 persons for my wife’s birthday last night at Hamsa, a purely vegetarian restaurant at Gandhi Nagar, Adyar. I opted for their private dining room Chandibagh. I must say something about the decor, ambience of the...room - its RICH, OPULENT’s the word. Go for it if you want to impress a small gathering. The service was excellent - with a personalised touch by Raju, the GM himself. Every thing was served fast and we were not hurried or pushed, we felt like royalty. Absolutely nothing was refused. The word “no” is not in his vocabulary! They greet with a Gulab Jamun on the table, for each guest. Coming to the food, we had an array of Starters. Cheese Kurkure, Pookose Varuval, Murungakeerai Vadai and Peshawari Paneer Kebab - all 4 were classy. To wash them down we had Nannari Sharbat - simply heavenly. The Chef’s Special Soup was Zafrani Shorba which was pretty good - piping hot and tad spicy. The Main Course consisted of Kamal Kakdi Kofteh (a gravy dish made of lotus stem dumplings), Subz Kolhapuri (a spicy mixed vegetable dish) and a classic Dal Palak. The Cheese Olive Naan is a must try. The Gobi Adrak Naan was superb. The Subz Dum Biryani is served with Raita, and was flavourful. The Apple Jalebi, Shahi Tukra, Lychee aur Thanda Nariyal ka Kheer and South Indian Filter Ice Cream were good. It was a great evening, great location, great food, and great service.More
This is a very good restaurant for family outing. Enjoyed food taste and variety. Service was good. Better reserve ahead of time to avoid waiting. There was construction when i went there and they had put up posters. Overall great experience, i will definitely recommend...this restaurant.More
Awesome ambience and a great vegetarian food. One of the must places to visit in Chennai. There are many delicious options on the menu and everything was great. Wonderful customer service.
We visited Hamsa for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary celebration dinner. We were a party of 8. We experienced and thoroughly enjoyed the ambience and tasty food from start to finish. Special kudos to the very thoughtful, friendly, and attentive wait staff. This place is...definitely recommended and we will surely return for another spectacular dining experience.More
Food was very good. Excellent ambience. But we experienced worst service. The service staff attitude was very bad. We went on 18th May 2022 and eight of us to celebrate my friend wedding anniversary. The service was very bad. we will never visit again.
Food wasn't any different from other vegetarian outlet. The interiors are definitely unique and adds to a regal feel dining experience.
