This is a solid Thai restaurant well versed in the basics like curry, fresh Thai salads and even their coconuts are top grade. Service can be a bit slow since they had 1 wait staff on the day, but you’re not supposed to be in a hurry.
Prices are cheerful and there’s free WiFi.

We ate here twice during our visit and it was terrific on both Occassions. It's a family run place and not very big so it is worth making a reservation in advance. We had Green Chicken Curry, Satay and Chicken Larb on our first visit and Spicy Tiger Prawns and Duck on the second visit all of which were excellent and my wife actually managed to get them to serve it "Thai spicy". Probably one of the best restaurants we ate at

Our second consecutive year holidaying in the area and this excellent restaurant has continued its high standards .
By far the best restaurant in the village but the downside is that it can be very busy .
We found that by missing the initial rush and eating after 8pm the quality of the food and service was even better than eating earlier .
Can recommend the chicken skewers , tempura prawns and red curries .
Excellent value and to be honest the owner needs to up the prices

We rarely go back to a restaurant on the same trip but ate in Moonsoon 3 times during the week, that says a lot!
The food quality and cooking is first class and service was great, professional and friendly. The advice we were given re dishes and quantity to order was spot on. On our first visit we were advised to order less and glad we did. We tended to share a starter then have 2 main courses.
The restaurant has lots of nice touches and was so clean.
At times we needed to queue a few minutes for a table but it was so worth it. It is understandably a popular spot.
The vegetables in each dish were amazing, chicken and prawn great too. Shrimp spring rolls were so tasty and were made to order. Prawn tamarind was exceptional as was the green curry, papaya salad and chicken cashews.
Prices are very reasonable and we normally spent less than 800bht including 2 large bottles of beer and a bottle of water.
On our last night the wonderful lady that waits on came after us on her motorbike as we had left our mobile phone!
Thanks to all of you at the restaurant for enhancing our holiday!

We ate 3 times at this restaurant. Every thing was so tasty!!! We eat vegeterian and they are very flexible to adapt most of the dishes to vegetarian options. The currys are excellent, so the green papaya salad and the mango sticki rice is a must!!!
It was so delicious that we decided to take a familly cooking class at the restaurant, with Pik and Cathy, who were very friendly and professional! Definitly recommended to take a cooking class there!Thank you Pik and Cathy for the lovely experience!

Our favourite restaurant outside of our hotel. Food is prepared fresh and the Thai food is delicious. Best tempura prawns ever, we kept going back for these. Lovely friendly service. On our second visit the lady owner remembered us, and welcomed us like old friends. Nice atmosphere, not posh but very cosy.

Our family had a three hour cooking lesson at Moonsoon which was excellent. We cooked spring rolls, curry (one chicken and one tofu), Tom yum soup, pad thai and mango sticky rice, all of which were delicious (and not just because we cooked them). The two friendly tutors were really helpful, spoke excellent English and knew their stuff, giving us lots of background information about ingredients etc. Would thoroughly recommend..

After being a bit disappointed by Bangkok and Phuket, we found this very authentic Thai restaurant, which we can really recommend. The food was delicious and their mixed fruit drinks fresh and amazing. The best was the owner/waiter who was very friendly and funny. Thank you moonsoon

Stopped in for dinner because we noticed this restaurant was always busy! It did not disappoint, I had traditional pad Thai and my husband had the Chicken Khao Soi which he said was one of the best dishes he has had in Thailand!! Staff was friendly and the service was great!!

We had a delicious meal here, very friendly helpful staff
Dishes are all delicious for a good price. Definitely eat there when you are on Koh Phangan.
We also attended a cooking workshop here, good explanation, nice chef, fresh ingredients, everything at ease. We had 2 starters per person, 2 main courses, and could possibly have a dessert, but we were full and couldn't finish it all. Was neatly packaged to take with you.
We later received recipes in our mailbox.
A very fun experience and received delicious recipes for home use.
Moonsoon you are a top restaurant with a great team, we would love to come back when we are in the area.

We had an excellent meal at Moon Soon and it’s just a shame we only got there once this visit. The chicken green curry was fantastic, brilliant mixed veg, lovely prawn sweet & sour, rice plus 2 big beers. All good quality and only 680 baht plus tip. Incredible! They take credit card too without a 3% surcharge which is common in the area.

Charming front of house talked to everyone like old friends. The food was the best we had tasted on the island and so reasonably priced. Shared a starter, two mains, a can of coke and a beer was 550 baht. Excellent portions and made with good ingredients. The chicken Penang curry in thick coconut sauce was delicious with lots of soft chicken. Good night out with good selection of chicken, pork and seafood dishes as well as a vegan section.

Loved it. Best Thai food of trip and really friendly service. Great with kids, brought games and interacted with them so we could eat our dinner. The front of house staff were delightful. Very tasty and we will come back next time we are in Ko Phangnan.

Very good Thai restaurant! According to our (glutenfree) kids, best Thai food in all of Thailand. Nice, english speaking boss with knowledge of glutenfree cooking.
A lot of choices, to many for us to try. GF options not mentioned on the menu but in consultation many possibilities.
We had (and loved) the chicken satay, chicken pad thai, chicken sweet and sour, chicken cashew and massaman/green curry’s.
Also delivery or take-out option!
Also very cheap but still great quality. For 5 people, including drinks, a dinner costs just 30 euro.

Visited twice during our 7 night stay in the nearby panviman resort and was not disappointed. The food was great and portion sizes also the right amount.The host was so welcoming and had a chat with us about the local area and our trip and thanked us for visiting her business two nights in a row.with both the food and atmosphere as good as it is in moonsoon a repeat visit was a no brainier.
