Carolina Brothers is located on the W&OD Trail, making it a good place for a pit stop on a long bike ride. Barbeque is the kind of food that seems intended to be served in a shack with outdated furnishings and thin napkins, and Carolina...Brothers fits that image. The dining room is nicer than you'd expect from the outside, while maintaining the antique decor feel. The food itself is excellent, with the pulled pork and sauces tasting like the BBQ I've had in North Carolina. I decided to do a 90 mile ride front to back on the W&OD trail. 60 miles in I stopped by Carolina Brothers for possibly one of the best meals ever. I needed some calories and I had an amazingly good BBQ pork sandwich, green...beans, baked beans and a soda for $11!!! Delicious and so appreciated the affordable price. Great staff too.More

Got the chicken platter with baked beans and Mac and cheese and it was so good. I’ve been coming here for years and it’s always great. The employees were very kind and had great customer service. Everything seems great under the new ownership. They said...the food won’t be changing which I’m very happy about. They’ll be adding some new additions which I’m excited to see.More

I loved this place. Just a small restaurant with plenty of indoor seating. The ribs were excellent. I ordered half slab with two sides. The ribs were moist and juicy with plenty of meat on the bones. The baked beans were good with plenty of...spice. The coleslaw was like home made. The prices of all meals were very reasonable. The two people working there were very friendly and we enjoyed visiting with them.More

NC Native here and a bit of "BBQ snob." The meat holds it own against plenty of the legacy establishments in Eastern NC. Sides, especially the slaw, beans, and Mac and cheese are excellent. They don't try to make BBQ something its not, and hit...all the right notes. The place is also clean and affordable - I will be back.More

This was a first time visit based on a recommendation from family. We had some of the best pork ribs we've found in quite a while. The meat was tender and very well flavored. The sides provided something of an over-abundance of food beyond the...ribs. We took ribs in a to-go container as the portions are large.More

Please avoid this place. The service is COMPLETE TRASH. I placed an order in advance to pick it up, however I told the girl on the phone that before I order additional sides, first I want to see how big our order is in person....In the beginning, there are a total of 3 customers inside. 1) The customer (A) ahead of me 2) The customer (B) who walked in the same time as me and went to order in line 3) Me (C). I wait in line near the cash register, and waited patiently for the customer A to finish paying. Customer B was ordering while I was waiting for customer A. I patiently wait till customer A and customer B paid for their meals and left. Then it's my turn to come up to the cash register. I tell the cashier (middle aged red head) that I'm here to pick up my order and that I wanted to order additional sides for my party platter. During this time, there is a group of 8x customers who walked in AFTER me. He then CONDESCENDINGLY tells me to get in the back of the line behind the 8x customers, even though I was there BEFORE them. I then told the cashier "You must not want to make any money today". Then the red head replied "Oh! I made my money today." Well good, cause you will never ever get 1 penny from me ever again. This is not the only BBQ place in town, thank God. I hope the owner Danny Hurdle reads this and knows how terrible his employee is. This red head looks like he's miserable everyday at the cash register and probably need to get a number for a hot line.More

I ate at Carolina Brothers on 12 Mar 2020 and it was absolutely delicious. My potato salad and mac & cheese topped the BBQ beef sandwich off perfectly. My dinner companion enjoyed her meal as well. It's a great place to go to enjoy a...meal at a very reasonable price when compared to most places in Northern Virginia. Additionally, Carolina Brothers offers a military discount to anyone with a valid military ID card. Looking forward to the next visit.More
