Wanted a quick roll for the road and they delivered! I’ve been looking for a good sushi place this far inland - would definitely come back again when I’m in town

The noodles and terrific spices were much enjoyed. My husband had the Tom Yam thin noodles with chicken and light Kirin beer. He really enjoyed his selection. Our guest had Shoyu Ramen pork with the thicker noodles and was very happy. I appreciated the lobster...dumplings, seared scallops, spicy salmon roll, and hot sake.More

I go to this shop all the time in Austin. I prefer their flexibility in choosing what type of noodles to go with your soup base. I always get the vermicelli with red-braised beef noodles. I can't vouch for either the sushi or other items...here.More

We went on a Friday night that was pretty bustling-- we had to wait a few minutes (not long!) for a table and it was pretty noisy inside (hard for my dad to hear). We enjoyed the sushi, lots of sides (edamame, seaweed salad, etc.),...and the noodle dishes. You can pick the type of noodle you want in some of them. I really enjoyed the cold (room temperature) noodle with chicken dish-- fresh veggies and not too much sauce. Our server was friendly and helpful.More

Visiting Austin again with my family and everyone wanted to come back here for a second try. I went low carb last time but this time gave in and had the Dan Dan noodles. They were pleasantly spicy but not overpowering. There was ground chile...in oil at the table though, so the heat could be ramped up per individual taste. My granddaughter enjoyed her noodle dish. They provided kid chopsticks secured at the top with a rubber band, and she did a great job demolishing her noodles with them. Soon she will graduate to regular chopsticks. Great fun!More

This was the first time at Xian. The sushi was not the best but the noodles were great. We got the Dan Dan noodles and it was very good.

Went on a bustling busy night with my son and husband. We sat at the bar across from the Sushi chefs. Really fresh and tasty! The appetizer portions are generous. The shrimp and veggie tempura was surprisingly good - light and crispy with ample veggies....Good value for prices paid.More

Went with my sons family. My wife had a noodle dish which I sampled and found quite good. I was trying to stay low-carb though so I got sashimi, which was also very good. We sat towards the back where a chef was making noodles,...and that made for an enjoyable show.More

While doing a random search for dinner Xian showed up, hand pulled noodles caught my attention. I had the Dan Dan Noodles with thick spaghetti noodles. My 2 companions had Ramen. The noodles are hand pulled to order so delicious. The broth and meat was...very flavorful. Great food for a very reasonable price. It's a small place in a strip center in the Mueller area, trust me you wont be disappointed in the food. We didn't try any Sushi so I can only vouch for the noodle dishes but suspect it would be very good. Sorry for the photo, I was 3/4 way through before I stopped long enough to remember to take a pic.More

This place is quite good and reminds me of many of the really good beef noodle soup places on yong kang area of taipei. We’ve gone several times and love it. The sashimi is very good and the kids like the dumplings too. I had...the red braised beef noodle soup with bok choy with thick spaghetti. Yummy and kid approvedMore

After living in Japan for three years and now in Texas for two months, my oldest was dying for Ramen. The good is the Ramen soup was good. The beware is that the beef noodle tasted overwhelming of ginger. The taste was not subtle. So...I took my sons soup and he had my Ramen. We look forward making our way through the soup menu to find our favorites. My husband truly did enjoy his maki rolls so we will be back. Another strange addition was a bowl with a kids scissors provided for the kid meals. Apparently many locals do not realize noodles are made to slurp. No one starred as we passed on the scissors and slurped away!More

I thought it would be disappointed and the food would be more Americanized. The food was pretty delicious. I recommend the spicy chili wontons and the beef dan dan noodles.

Came here with my son. We ordered Xian noodles and stir-fried noodles. Both we excellent and very fresh. Xian noodles had just a bit too much sauce on it. Very attentive and friendly wait staff but the place was a bit noisy. We will come...again.More

We've eaten at Xian a couple of times in the last month, and are happy to return. The best dish I've had is Treasure Island, and it is one of the best dishes I've ever had anywhere. It presents as a circle of sliced avocado...standing on edge containing pieces of different raw fish in a mildly spicy mayo/ponzu sauce, all of which sits in a pool of umami heavy ponzu. The generous sprinkling of sesame seeds adds texture in two ways, the dry crispy seeds and the ones that sit in the sauce and thicken it. And there's a surprise: the fish rest on a bed of daikon noodles. At $10, this is an amazing deal. OK, enough of my favorite. After all, Xian is also known for its hand pulled noodles. And they are great. The triangle noodles are our favorite, but you won't go wrong with any of them. I would recommend against the chicken stir fried noodles. The flavor is great, but we've tried this twice, and both times the chicken came out overcooked to the point of almost inedible dryness. The beef is much better cooked in the same dish, but it is definitely chewy because of the cut of meat. Still, it was quite nice to eat. The shoyu ramen was good, but not brilliant. And I think it's lovely that they have a small green (plus cherry tomatoes) salad. For $2, you get yourself a little bit of fresh veggies.More
