Coyote Bluff is full of character and great place to enjoy a delicious (& quick) lunch!
We got a cheeseburger, a bacon burger, and chicken tenders. Everything was great!
Large portions at a very fair price.
Just over a dozen tables of different sizes for seating but they are very fast and turn over tables quickly -even over a busy lunch hour! Definitely worth the wait!

By sheer stroke of luck, enroute to Utah, I stopped in Amarillo for gas and lunch. Did a quick search of TA and voila, this highly rated dive was 1/4 mile away. I had to wait about 10 minutes for a table to open up. Lucky! Service is swift and with a smile throughout, even though the place was jammed.
I loved my Green Chili Burger with cheese -- truly massive half-pound of ground beef, cooked to order (and perfection) on a choice of buns. I could hardly open my mouth wide enough to enjoy the full scope of the burger. Delicious! I was at least smart enough not to order fries or any other side dish. It just would have been too much. All said, a specialty burger like this is just $11. You can easily get in and out in 25 minutes or even less, depending upon your time needs.
Despite the "dive" quality of the place, don't hesitate to go in and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Hope to return on my way back home from this trip.

Great food and atmosphere! They have a waiting area outside with picnic tables behind a sun shade. You could grab a beverage from the ice downed bath tub and take outside. Not sure how it works if it’s raining. We had a nice visit with a local couple while we waited. They told us this place has been around a long time and is one of their favorites. The wait was quick and once we ordered we saw why. The food came out quickly, but it certainly didn’t taste like fast food. We had the chips, salsa , and queso first. My husband had a steak cooked to perfection and the rest had the grilled chicken salad in a delicious shell like a taco salad. The whole wait staff was very friendly and the place has that fun, lively atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable! So glad our hotel was close! Definitely worth the stop if you love casual and local hot spots!!

Jam packed, rude waitress, mediocre food. We waited at least 15 minutes for a pick up order because the waitress was busy. Our food was literally sitting on the counter and was paid for. We asked to get it and the waitress very rudely told us we would have to wait for her to find time.
No idea why this place is rated so highly.

We stopped here on our way to Arizona based solely on the good reviews we reqd about this restaurant. We’re pleased to say the previous reviews were correct. The inside had a Cracker Barrel vibe. Our server was friendly and on top of things. My burger named the Burger from Hell was very flavorful and the bun held up under the juices which is always a plus. I went with the raw onions that gave it a nice crunch. The sautéed jalapeños added a flavorful touch. My wife had the Primal Platter. The salad was basic but a nice size. She had the 1/2 pound beef burger covered with bacon and melted cheese. Again the burger was tasty and they did not skimp on the thick sliced bacon or cheese. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Virtually everything other reviewers have written, good or baf, about location, parking, size, ambiance and wait times is spot on true and we loved it all! From the self-serve bathtub full of beer through the 50's mustard and ketchup squirt bottles to the diner kitsch on the walls, this place oozes good times and good eats.
Started with a cup of Tex Red chili. DO NOT PASS THIS UP...it is spectacular; just enough heat to add flavor. We then had burgers (one regular and one bacon with cheese), and split an order of 1/2 fries-1/2 onion rings. Huge, cooked to perfection with plenty of toppings. Fries/rings a tad overdone but still delicious. And of course, beers from the tub. Top it off with the friendliest servers you've ever met and you've got a great road trip stopover.

The food is pretty good. Great burger and the homemade fries are really delicious. I do have a pet peeve with being overcharged. The sub-par chips and salsa are advertised on their rather large chalkboard for $1.95, but you will be charged $3.95 for Pace salsa and chips. Also, the prices do not match what is on the menu you are actually handed and order from. I understand if there is a temporary price hike due to the economic circumstances, but they need to work up a new menu or, at the very least, say something. To not do so makes it look like they are being sneaky. The wait staff did a pretty good job, but seemed to cater more to some tables while ignoring others. Mind you, there were only two handling the entire restaurant.

Ate at this location based on the recommendation of the front desk staff of the hotel we stayed at. I asked where the locals dine at - and she recommended this restaurant. Glad i listened to her advise to watch carefully or you would drive by. From the outside you wouldn't actually know it's a restaurant. Once inside it's very eclectic. The waitress have great personality. Our food came quickly and was very good. Glad we had the experience dining here.

Found this place on Trip Advisor, decided to have dinner after the reviews on here and Google and it held up to the stars. Though without the reviews you probably would think twice of eating here looking at the building, but that’s also what makes it appealing. Sara (without the H - my daughter is with an H), was very sweet and helpful being first timers. The reviews said the beers were COLD out of the trough (old iron bathtub), and they sure were, just how I like my beer. My husband had the Hamburger Hell and said it was hot, but not uneatable. I got the mushroom and onion burger and loved it, surprised myself and ate the entire thing. The cheese fries were ok, but the chili soup samples Sara gave us were hot and very good. We ordered one of each to go for our a dinner on our MH trip to Las Vegas, we stopped by Amarillo as a layover on the trip and if ever in the area again, will definitely come back for another fabulous hamburger, cold beer, and service. Oh and there is a review on YouTube just search Coyote Bluff Cafe, you’ll be glad you did.

We did curbside pick up for a work order. All burgers were cooked exactly how we ordered them, even with some weird requests. Fresh, tasty, and well worth it.
The restaurant is a bit small, but its big in spirit!!
We will continue to eat here over and over again.

We were traveling across Texas and needed a delicious lunch. The wait staff was awesome and the good most delicious. The restaurant is on the smaller side so you may need to check in to see if there is room AND it is completely worth the wait!

You pull in the parking lot and wonder why someone sent you here. The building looks to be derelict. You walk in to a cool vibe. By the time you have finished the burger you are wondering why you have never eaten here before and when you can come back

Came here as it was close to our hotel and had received such great reviews. They only take orders online and don’t answer the phone after the recorded message. Strange. My husband and I shared a burger which filled us up. Also ordered a half fries half onion rings. The rings were fantastic as others have mentioned. Fries pretty limp by the time we got back to hotel but imagine they’re quite good if eating in. Our Bill had a 10% tip automatically added and came to $16 and change. Would definitely recommend and hope to go there again.

Stopped in Amarillo on our last night in Texas. Had the dog at the hotel so we had to do takeout and bring the food back to the room. Service at the counter was terrific. Chose a California Burger on an onion bun and a Classic with Cheese with side order 1/2 onion ring 1/2 fries. The 1/2lb burgers are huge and delicious. Delicious. Fries were excellent with a really nice seasoning. The wait for pickup was about 20 minutes at around 6:30pm and worth every minute.

Coyote Bluff is a must when passing through Amarillo! We ate here the past two nights and the second night, when we walked in, our waitress remembered our drink order. The red chili bean fries with added jalapeños and onions were so flavorful! Can’t go wrong with any burger on the menu. The staff are all friendly and accommodating and worth the wait! Yes, sometimes there is a wait, but it moves quickly! We will be back
