Great food but not the place during a pandemic even for takeout – Ordered our takeout via the phone and set a pickup time. My wife ordered the blackend salmon rare and I had the elk also rare. We had the crostini appetizer and the cashew chocolate cake. The salmon and elk were prepared perfectly and very tasty. The crostini was more like a bruschetta but delicious. The sweet corn risotto with my elk was so salty (and I love salt) I couldn’t eat it. The cake was very unusual and extremely delicious. My issue with OHMS was when I walked in to pick up our food the bar was PACKED with no one wearing masks. And when the hostess came up to me to ask why I was there she pulled down her mask and leaned into me. The restaurant seemed packed. I know this is Texas and many in this area don’t seem to believe we have a pandemic but first time getting take out I felt extremely uncomfortable.

Excellent wine. I loved the sweet chile broccoli And Thai style beef Jerky appetizers. I ordered surf and turf. The steak skewer was great, and asparagus cooked just right. I wasn’t crazy about the poblano romesco, and the the shrimp was average. Great service and ambiance. An excellent place for business meals. I would eat here again and again for the appetizers and wine alone.

Excellent food, great wait staff and good cocktails. The elk tenderloin was perfectly done and the sea bass special was melt in your mouth delicious. The only negative I would have is the noise level, it is quite noisy when it fills up. It wouldn't deter me from going again though! I would definitly recommend a reservation.

While I don't think we did anything to offend our server, the service was questionable. We were 3/4 of the way through appetizers before service staff checked on us and once dinner was served we never saw the waitress again. Had to eat food as it was served (sure would have liked lemon for my salmon). Food was good, cooked to order but not exceptional. Some side dishes were toasty hot, others ljust warm - meal not consistent. Lack of service got worse as evening progressed making for an uncomfortable evening. Bill was presented by sliding it on the table with no contact.
Noise level in the restaurant made talking between two people challenging. Disappointed as this place was highly recommended on Trip Advisor. We expected fine dining (fine dining prices) but got a mid range dining experience.

We did take out last night for my wife's birthday as we were passing through on the way to our new home in NM. We were both impress with the our meals both the preparation, and the perfect doneness of the meat (rare and medium rare) both perfect even at the travel distance we were. The tuna was amazing as was the fruit and cheese plate (our dessert). Wine is reasonably priced. Thank you.

Everything was great at dinner tonight. The Manhattan cocktail was extraordinary with a faint taste of allspice. Steak au poivre was exceptional, perfectly cooked with mashed potatoes and green beans. The cheese appetizer with corn tortillas was great. Service was attentive. The meal was as memorable as any in far more sophisticated cities!

Seafood is frozen, they need to train their staff how to defrost seafood before cooking. If you don’t stay at the bar field, you’ll be cut off after two drinks. will not go back. Was there three months ago the elk is processed. They do not know how to season food and vegetables slim. Drinks water down or not even an ounce poured. Very cheap as an 80s look. Service OK but always full of excuses.

First highly recommend call for a Reservation. We did so no problem getting a table. Atmosphere is business casual. Our waiter Tommy provided us with excellent Friendly service. Menu had some different but nice choices. I started with the delicious French Onion Soup then we both had the Filet steak $42 for our main course. Portions were decent size and presentation was nice. For dessert we split the Panna cotta again delicious. Price was medium range. Wine choices were decent. Parking lot is available and free. We definitely plan on coming back in the future.

While on a road trip we stopped in on our way to Denver and had such a great meal that we had to go back on the way home. We tend to stop in Amarillo on our way to see our kids in Denver and had never been happy with our dining choices until we found 0HMS!
On our first visit we got a table in the back room and Chase was our server. She was awesome and made our choices even better. I got the lamb chops and my hubby got the fillet and they were both five star. We started with the mushroom toast and it was crazy good.
The second time, a week later we were in the middle room with Tommy and I chose the steak and he got the halibut special, both were amazing. We started the meal with a quail appetizer and a Caesar salad. The quail was one of the best things I’ve ever had!
The room was filled with great energy. Our next-door table mates were Debra and Millie and we had a super time talking to them. We ended up finishing our wine at the bar where Miss Chase was training as a bartender.
All in all super choice! We will be back on our next road trip and we plan to meet up with our new friends!

Perfect night for our family celebration. Reservations are highly recommended. Atmosphere is both bar scene and more relaxing/romantic depending on the area. Our waitress Jade was efficient and very friendly. We each started with the fried egg salad which we all recommend. Next we had a variety of different main dishes. Probably the best was the Salmon. Portions were decent size and the food was great. Parking is free in a good size area in front.

I am always amazed at the variety and quality of the food here. Went for lunch, which is buffet style. There is generally a line since the food is great!! I had meatballs with linguine. I've had it before. It was incredible as always. Took some chocolate cake to go. The deserts are all home made. Price is very reasonable. It is a place that i go to often because of the food and Great Service!!

First time to eat here and we loved it so much that we are already set up for reservations on our driving trip home. The food was excellent, to be out matched only by the service and ambiance.

I would love to say that OHMS is an Elite fine dining in the downtown area of Amarillo, which in my opinion, fails. Meeting for a drink and dinner with girls might be great. Instead we chose OHMS for our sons 28th birthday. However, we did receive a cakeage fee at the end of our dinner. A cakeage fee is the server, serving the cake. This did not occur. I am more than happy to pay this fee if given the choice and the service. I have happily paid corkage fees in my 50 years of living with being informed before the bill is presented or the wine is opened. So I completely understand. With this being addressed on a review I see it in more a poor public relations skill that at the end of our meal it was told to us about the fee. OHMS waitress and wait staff do not meet the criteria for an upscale dinner choice. Then, this comes to the final conclusion review of advertised OHMS upscale restaurant is only as good as the management/owners. The chef that prepared did an amazing job. And as an upscale restaurant with a final bill of over $500.00 with our table seating of 7, I was unimpressed by the service and dishonesty we were given with our final bill.

Everything we had here for a business dinner was wonderful: surf and turf, egg roll app and homemade ice cream for dessert 🙂 Definitely a great place! Service was good … a little slow when it came to bringing the check
