During the Yuletide season, I booked my family for several days at Novotel. I have always been satisfied with the quality of food and service at Food Exchange Manila but during Christmas and the New Year, Team Novotel outdid itself by coming up with the most lavish breakfast, lunch, dinner and cocktails. The staff served 17 members of my family over breakfast, lunch, and dinner, including children and senior citizens who needed special attention. They also served me several times over lunch and dinner with my friends. Particularly noteworthy was the New Year’s Eve buffet. Food Exchange Manila had the crunchiest Cebu lechon, the most lavish Turkey dish (complemented by bread pudding and cranberry sauce), the most varied salad choices, the finest chicken and fish grilled to perfection by the Kitchen staff led by Ralph, who knew the specific needs of each friend or family member in so short a time. The native Filipino ice cream choices as well as the other Filipino (puto bumbong especially, a friend from Germany gorged in 11 pieces) and Western desserts (in particular, the chocolate bars, chocolate chip cookies, chocolate walnut cake) and the juiciest pineapples, watermelons were served throughout every meal. I wish to commend Kris Deanne Hisoler and Stephanie Tumayay at the AccorPlus desk for the seamless check-in and check-out, Arnold, Kessler, Princess, & Jessica who led the fantastic reception, dining and kitchen staff members like Ralph, Jose, JC, Criselle, My My, Ish, Rikki Mae, Princess, Mark, Ruther, Jonel and really, every member of the team who served us during the holidays. They sacrificed so much by being with us, away from their loved ones. Crowd control was fantastic. Every diner got to eat his/her favorites without being disrupted by other diners who passed through. This is not my first review but this one gives me the goose bumps. Yuletide 2019 was truly memorable because of Novotel and in it, Food Exchange Manila. Maraming salamat!

Food was excellent as well as service at the dining area both at the Food exchange and the snack bar. But what pissed me off is the parking. We paid 15k for food at both venues since we transferred due to our long talk and stayed for 8 hrs and were given parking coupons but was charged still on parking ₱350? That’s absolutely absurd! You treat your guests that way? Such a rude place to dine

Their spread was not extensive, but nevertheless gratifying! Specifically love the "Champorado Ubi" The staples like eggs done to how you'd like it, healthy options by the names of fruits, juices, greens and the like. Carbs for breakie isn't half bad. Service excellent. Hotel has a minimalist concept. Toilet clean. For the price of 1.2K, I wouldn't mind waking up early!

This is to put into your record an alarming experience we’re had at your Food exchange Restaurant on June 29th for my friend’s birthday celebration. Never mind that there wasn’t the usual festivities given to birthday celebrants. What is unforgivable is when the seafoods which we asked to be cooked tasted so bad and that the taste cannot be slapped out of our mouths. The Seafood tastes beyond fresh to the point where I had to spit them out. Have this been checked or your chefs don’t actually know How to cook seafoods? While it was corrected the experience in a hotel Just like yours lingers on that we had to Go to a cheaper buffet the following day for seafoods and we paid less than half we paid you But for seafoods as Good as what we are expecting from a reputable hotel Brand. Mind you, on too of this hulabaloo, my 6 yo God daughter was charged half where your terms in your site says 6 yo and below eats free. Also, your staff as unattentive and are hard to be seen! Overall, my experience with you was far from my past ones and it’s the worsr experience in a hotel buffet I had to date. If this won’t be improved, I don’t think I can ever Go back no recommend your Restaurant. Please out this complaint on your Record as I put this out online as well.

I considered going to this buffet for a little more premium experience compared to Vikings, Sambokojin, Dad's, etc. based on previous dining experience, location, and most of all, pricing.
Unfortunately, it was anything but premium, and I regret spending more for such a very disappointing birthday treat for my family.
Good:
Decent selection of deserts
Decent salad station
Inclusion of Indian cuisine and sauces
Bad:
Some dishes were poorly heated (rice, pasta, meats etc.). Lentil crackers were supposed to be crispy, but were already soft and soggy.
Fried rice was dry and lacked flavor.
Sushi station was very limited and did not even have some of the basic types usually available in other buffets (such as tamago, california maki etc.)
The cooling machine (no, it was not in a refrigerator or cooler) must've been broken because the ice cream was already near-melted on the station.
The breaking point for me was the takoyaki. It was served with ketchup (yes, ketchup, not proper takoyaki sauce), and a very small amount of katsuobushi, and the batter was not at all reminiscent of the actual dish. This is not even comparable to the ones you can get at kiosks at the mall. It was so unsightly, I wish they had just skipped on serving it, rather than present something so depressing.
For the price, the overall selection was very limited, and compared to other buffets (that are cheaper), there are dishes you would expect to be available but are not (especially in the made-to-order station).
Bottomline, I do not recommend this place. I have good memories of this buffet back in 2017, but perhaps things have changed since then. The pricing set higher dining expectations for me, which were completely not met. I am also not sure what the experience will be like for other times such as dinner and weekdays, but for Saturday Lunch, this was our experience.
If you're looking for a decent buffet treat, you will have a better experience at Niu, Vikings main, or any of the other well-known mall buffet brands (while paying even less). Or spend a little more and go somewhere such as 7 Corners, another hotel-based buffet like this one.

Few years back when Novotel was newly opened we had brunch and lunch buffet at Food Exchange Manila. We enjoyed the food then, in particular the different cheeses (although choices were just limited). From time to time, we would order their pizza and breads throughout the years, which are actually good. However, just a few weeks ago, to celebrate a special family occasion, we had lunch buffet in the same venue. The food this time is not as good as previous times. There were also flies hovering our table with one of the lighted tea candles keep turning off, eventually we got tired asking the staff to turn it on.

Your staff, notably Eliz and Marc, went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. Their warmth and attentiveness added a special touch to our dining experience. We're already eagerly anticipating our next visit. Keep up the fantastic work!

It was dinner. Food served was ok. Ample choices of international selection. My favourite corner though would be the Indian side. Loved those papadums , chicken curry and tandoori. Also liked the pizza and hummus but there was no pita bread to pair with that. Ambiance was just fine and I guess the staff service particularly water refills compensate with having to get your own coffee and drinks. The reason for the 5 star rating was the service , drinks inclusion and that wonderful Indian selection.

it was a gastronomic experience just like the first time i was here.
consistency, delectability and courteous staff are this restaurant's edge over the others offering the same array of dishes.
the gelato is worth coming back several times. the puto bumbong is available during breakfast even when the yuletide season has passed. the soya bean curd (taho) should not be missed by all means.
the space may be quite cramped but the food is prepared and cooked with much care to the delight of the customers.
gotta go back again when a chance shows up.

No Buffet, no problem. Novotel got us covered this ECQ!
Steak Me at Home ready-to-cook comes with the ff: cooking instructions, oil, butter and seasonings, ready-to-reheat boiled corn (cos carbs is life), steak sauce and that 600g Australian Beef Ribeye Steak good for 2-3 people but for me, it can feed 4 people. Soooo soooo goood!
Their best seller, Indulge Gelato is also available for delivery.
Our tummies are sooo happy! Thanks Novotel!

We celebrated our birthday this year at Novotel Food Exchange in Manila. Theme for this year is Coachella and the entire staff of Novotel Manila were gracious enough to accommodate our request. The food was great and the staff was really corteous.

it may have a limited spread compared to specialty restaurants in the vicinity but their choices would be enough to stimulate your gustatory senses.
i like best their noodle station. 3 types. same soup broth. varied ingredients and spices. just for this meal alone, i'm already full on my second bowl.
the puto bumbong is to die for. highly recommended. it's worth the long wait. the brownies are heavenly as well. try to resist all the other desserts. they're all very sinfully delicious.
