Tucked away in the compound of the Sto Domingo Church lies a hidden gem. A quaint little restaurant, Café Inggo 1587 offers that homey vibe that is usually found in Tagaytay restaurants. One will not get bored while waiting for their food orders to come. You can check out the different artworks of various Philippine churches. Or read the various processions that the church celebrates annually, beautifully drawn on their menus. The Seafood Chowder is like heaven in a bowl. The barbecued Tadyangis Dominicus was well marinated, paired with a delicious spinach timbale. Finally, the Rhum Cake should have been called 'Death by Rhum Cake'. It was soft, moist and had the right amount of rhum in it - the perfect way to end the meal. But what makes the Café an unforgettable dining experience is the impeccable service by the members of staff. We were pampered by the Servers, particularly by Louie and Jerus. By the way, this is a pet-friendly restaurant, so your little paws and purrs will very much be at home here. Guests are even welcomed by their resident cats just outside their doors! All in all, Café Inggo 1587 is a place where one will return to over and over again - for the ambience, the food and for the service.

Cafe Inggo, is a small restaurant located at the end of the Santo Domingo Parking Lot near the exit. For some months, I have been curious to visit this place. My chance came one ordinary weekday after the morning mass at 7.30 a.m., I went to have a short breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised with the cozy ambiance and the quaint interiors that welcomed me as I chose a small table. Slowly, I saw the frames of black and white sketches of churches of the Dominican order on one wall. Then in the al fresco verandah of Cafe Inggo, one will see some cats sleeping on the tables or benches and their pictures on the wall. I ordered a cup of coffee, eggs and a toast. Simple and yet filling. After a spiritual food, I enjoyed the simple meal in a very nice breakfast place....Cafe Inggo.

My family & I have been to this place 5 times & I just LOVE this place. On our most recent visit, we ordered their Pinaasimang Lechon Kawali (their version of sinigang) for our toddler who loves sinigang. (In fact, this is what we always get for our kid). This is NO ordinary sinigang with boiled meat & veggies. They sear the meat to lock in the flavour & crunch up the skin, then combine it with fresh vegetables & tamarind soup which they always prepare from scratch!! We also ordered their “big on umami” Pastel de Mariscos which tasted rich yet guilt-free at the same time. Service at this place really comes from the heart. The waiters are very pleasant & attentive and have been trained well. And as a guest, one can sense that they give their best in what they do. Will definitely go back again & again. <3

We love this place! My son and I can be considered regular clients of Cafe Inggo. For lunch/dinner, our favorite is corned beef. It comes with 2 eggs (cooked the way you want), fruits, and coffee. Yummy! Staff are very friendly and attentive, too. Ambiance is also great. We love the coffee table books and the fray shakers :-) A bit pricey but definitely worth it.

From the first spoonful of Grilled Pumpkin Soup, I immediately knew that this place was worth the trip. Then came Lumpiang Ubod ng Sarap, a name that brought smiles on my face, asserted that 'yes, this is indeed worth the trip!' Then the Bibingka with Salted Eggs and White Cheese just SEALED THE DEAL! YES! Definitely, Cafe Inggo is a benchmark that's hard to equal!... along with the youthful service team, the ambience... great value for money, parking, vicinity... the interplay of every element of the experience is like a Philharmonic orchestra playing great music for its audience. I confess that I look forward to try more of their signature dishes!

I chanced upon several posts on cafe Inggo on Facebook and was intrigued enough to drive to it all the way from Makati! It was an exquisite little gem serving up authentic tasting Spanish food. I never had gambas so well spiced up and not just swarmed with tomato sauce as many restaurants do to save costs. I also had the hot chocolate in a ceramic brown cup then the pumpkin soup with nice chunks of pumpkin to scoop up. What a worthwhile little place to find! The little touches of a his and hers bathroom , all interiors well detailed just set the tone right. Remember to pass by the church too! The grounds are well taken care of and the church majestic.

Last Sept 6 we took an early lunch at our Favorite Cafe Inggo. We ordered the almondigas, oxtail kare kare and callos. The almondigas waa piping hot and the meat was so tender. The kare kare was a run away winner the oxtail was so soft and the greens were crunchy. The peanut sauce was just right blended with their alamang bagoong one can get a taste of heaven. The callos was loaded with chorizos that made it so yummy. To cap the lunch was 7th heaven dessert. We wereso hungry I forgot to take pictures of the food we ordered. All meals were served hot👌. Truly the experience of going to Cafe Inggo beside Sto Domingo church is worthe the trip as I come from Pasay😘

Located within the grounds of Santo Domingo Church in Quezon City, Café Inggo 1587, is a must try to experience dining with prayerful mindfulness. The walls are filled with artwork of several churches in the Philippines down to the friar/ priest salt and pepper shakers, you will leave the restaurant with an extra ounce of holiness and blessedness. What a way to either start or end your visit to the church, be it breakfast, lunch, merienda or dinner. There is a wide variety of choices of Filipino and Spanish cuisine. My family was priviledged to sample a menu that has never been served at the restaurant and was supposed to make its debut early August 2021, but ECQ happened. Expect new items like Bulalo, Sinanglay na Lapu-Lapu, Lechon Kawali and appetizers like Gambas, Ensaladas, Camaron and the Crispy (and super fluffy) Chicharong Bulaklak soon as this ban is lifted. My 87 yr old mother enjoyed that the most. The Ginataang Bilo-bilo was so delicious along with the highly acclaimed Bibingka. Al fresco dining is available in the beautiful luscious garden patio to the side of the restaurant. They carry extra items by the counter like Raw Honey from Mt. Banahaw, Coconut sugar, Coffee grounds roasted by the priests and a wide variety of desserts. Kudos to Chef Willy and the servers who are seminarians and soon to be priests in training. What a great way to support their journey in serving our Lord. Special shout-out to Mgr. Brenda’s Rum cake, my personal favorite, I’m kicking myself in the back for forgetting to take one home. I’m envious of the local community to have this in your stomping grounds. Till our next trip back to the Philippines …..

Hola abmckee, What a wonderful way to lift up our spirits as we undergo a third lockdown closure. It was also our 4th anniversary last August 8, the feast of the Cafe's Patron, St Dominic de Guzman, founder of the Order of Prechers or most commonly known as The Dominicans! Our kitchen and front line crew were delighted to introduce all those new dishes you mentioned for your family last July 30, our last day of operations before the mandatory closure. And they will be ready to serve these when we re-open on August 22, God willing. I am glad you specially enjoyed a cafe favorite, the Gunataan Bilo-bilo. Hats off to your 87 year old Mother for enjoying our new offering 'Chicharon de Flores', many seniors would rather skip. Please ensure to make a breakfast, a lunch or a dinner reservation the next time you visit your country of birth. It was a pleasure to have you and your family at Cafe Inggo 1587!

Whenever I am in the area, Cafe Inggo has always been the go-to-lunch destination; whether visiting the church or having my car fixed in Banawe. I was quite hesitant to bring my senior citizen father, given the rising COVID situation, however, upon checking the safety protocols the restaurant is applying, ensuring that all customers and even its staff are applying social distancing and strict hygiene procedures, I was ensured of a safe and delightful experience. Kudos to the staff and management of the cafe. It truly deserves the number one spot in Trip Advisor. As always, food is superb!

Cafe Inggo 1587 reminds me of Winestube in Malate where I used to live. It's a place I really enjoy. Superb food and service. First time I went there I said, "My Mom would love this place!" True enough, I brought her there thrice and she really loved it. The first time I brought her there I told her to order the most expensive breakfast so she chose the Mediterranean breakfast. As her order arrived, she noticed a couple from another table having Tapsilog and she noted, "OH! That's what I want pala!" I responded, "Ma! That's only tapsilog. You can have that in other places." She chimed, "Eh mukha talagang masarap eh!" So I brought her the following Saturday and she had her longed for Tapsilog...DANG!!! She had extra rice!!! Considering she is finicky when it comes to rice and does not eat rice like a kargador like me. The third time we were there was on the invitation of her fellow ex-PAL FA, Sandra Graham. She had Lechon Kawali and she really enjoyed it.

I'm very happy choosing Cafe Ingo to meet a long lost friend to catch up stories and share a delighting bit late night dinner! Upon arriving, the mystical Gregorian music that is so solemn and serendipic greeted us, which definitely sets the mood for a simple yet elegant dining experience. The menu was straight forward and filled with neo clasiccal traditional Fil Hispanic cuisine. All dishes were beautifully selected to compliment one another. To start we ordered a rustic roasted creme of pumpkin soup for my friend whilst I took the almondigas which I never had for a very long time ago. Then since evening is getting late we opted to share over the Lumpiang Ubod ng Saraaaaap! Literally it was really delicious, having it on dinner time the bamboo shoot was so fresh and wrapped on a homemade crepe with a delicate harmony of fresh native lettuce, garlic and nuts with light sweet and salty sauce on the side. We paired it over with the chicken galantina that was so soft and well harmonized meat stuffings smothered with a sherry wine mushroom sauce. It was really a travel back on the past. The almondigas brought me back to my childhood days when my mother prepares lunch for us. We were so full at the end but still we managed to finish the whole courses. We forgot about the light dinner thing😂🤣, Basically Cafe Ingo is a beautiful place to rekindle long lost friendship. Before I forget.. The service staff were so attentive and prompt, they were like shadows but always there to provide assistance. It's definitely a two thumbs up dining experience. Thank you Cafe Ingo lastly for the fluffy traditional native Christmas Bibingka topped with hearty grated cheese. A must try by the way! I'll visit you again! Can't wait to try the Callos Madrilennos! Muchos Gracias.

Average, if not mediocre. Their lumpiang ubod was so dry, rubbery, and bland. Relyenong manok/ embotido like dish I ordered was bland as well, tastes like wet paper. The tinola fish-like dish was average, at the best. It was a disappointing experience. I would not dine here again.

Each time we go, we always order the different assortments of meat; the salpicao, gambas, and their salmon. Eat dish is seasoned with it's own spices and herbs which come out smelling savory and appetizing, unlike other places that use the same seasoning for all dishes. The champorado is one of my friends favourites. Do not miss their buko icecream which according to them its home-made. To die for with no exaggeration!!! The prices are extremely reasonable compared to similar restaurants that serves similar dishes and just as good, if not better! Suggest you come early to secure seats, parking is no problem as there are ample parking lots inside the church conpound.

I always look forward to dining in Cafe Inggo especially their Kare Kare the creamy peanut sauce blended so well with the tender oxtail and crunchy vegetables. Today we tried the Chicharon Bulaklak which was truly crunchy and mind you not oily at all. The Sisig was totally different from the usual Sisig that you will eat elsewhere because it's so crispy. The pork humba melts into your mouth. The liempo was a run a way winner because the sauce was so perfect with the smokiness of the meat. Of course we had to have the sari sari gulay na may lamang dagat. The vegetables were perfectly cooked not overcooked. We had the almondigas too which had longganisa instead of ground meat. To cap the lunch we had the apple pie topped with mango ice cream. In each bite you could truly taste the crunchy apples perfectly blended with the ice cream. The rest halo halo which I usually have. What truly a sumptuous meal and looking forward to the next visit😋 The price is very reasonable and ambiance was so cozy and relaxing. Perfect for a weekend lunch.
