I would like to commend this stunning restaurant for it's view and service. Me and my fiancée enjoyed our dinner here on our post-anniversary date night. The food are served hot and staffs are welcoming, they will assist you with the best service they can provide. A lot of restaurant these days are understaffed so I thank them for showing up; salute to the staffs that reported today for work, Jan. 25, 2022. Mabuhay !

Stunning view, great ambiance. Ok food

Dear readers, after a nice stroll and bike ride through Intra Muros, it’s a great idea to have a drink and a bite on the sky Deck. Enjoy the sun going down and have a nice cocktail or beer/wine. We went for the tenderloin beef salad, gyochas and signature fries. The service was fast, the waiter professional but the quality of the food was so-so. The fries were cold, the beef a bit tough and the gyochas a bit soggy.. So for the view/ambiance/service a 5 but for the quality of the food a 3. Makes together a 4 .. 😀

Romantic rooftop restuarant

Skydeck View bar is perfect for couples and friends who wants to chill while they enjoy the beautiful city scape of Manila. Most of the customers here are mid 20's up to late 30's. So expect that the place is not loud and you'll enjoy your meal in serenity along with their relaxing music.

I went with my wife for dinner they served us very cold food and they brought the bill while we were just eating. It was a very bad treatment and experience and terrible memory especially it was our last day in honeymoon . I wonder how they got certificate of excellence from trip advisor!!!!

We were there tonight. Food was terrible. All dishes arrived super cold. The waiter tried to give us the bill while we were still trying to eat the cold food we received. We paid and left very annoyed.

We went to this restaurant on January 16 with a group of 14 people. The location and view are excellent but the food and service are bad. My wife and I ordered clam chowder soup and that was way below average and the quantity small. The possible clam were chopped so small that you cannot appreciate their presence. My wife ordered greek salad and it came without black olives, dressing and Feta cheese. We asked for dressing and cheese. They brought a small container of dressing but the waiter did not know what’s in it. For cheese, she brought less than 8 small cubes of an unidentifiable cheese, maybe Halloum... The worse experience was with my seafood Pest Rafaellae. It did have pasta and sauce, but it had one single partially mangled small shrimp, a half dozen mussels and another half dozen small lams and tiny pieces of calamari. Disappointed, I told the waiter about the single mangled shrimp, he mumbled and left and did not see him again. I ate the food and saved the shrimp to the end. When ready to finish, I cut the shrimp in half and put it in my mouth and found it to be way under cooked.and rubbery. I spat it and asked for the chef or manager. No one showed up. The gentleman who recommended the restaurant was our guide. He went and spoke to the manager and got the plate taken off my bill. Our experience was the worst among our group. The rest felt that the food was below average and expensive.

We had a company dinner here one night and i was expecting a good view and good food but i was so disappointed that The only view we had was the Manila city hall and car lights due to traffic. There aren’t many food options considering the price you pay, you can have a nice buffet dinner at other buffet restaurants. I’m never coming back to this place again.

False pet friendly claim at the restaurant entrance; Poor customer service

I visited The Bayleaf Skydeck with my friends and furry friend, hoping for a pleasant meal with a view. When we arrived, we asked the staves that were grouping themselves at the reception if dogs are allowed. All of them assured us it is pet friendly place. They even shouted in chorus: “Pet friendly naman po kami”. They even assisted us to our table and provided menus. Before they were able to serve the drinks, I had a minor issue with my dog's diapers, we asked them to move us to another table so that we will be away from the other diners. It was only under a minute when a manager rushed over and just said that it is bawal. Without further explaining what is not allowed. I told him that I was just fixing the diaper and I will return it to its carrier asap. It did not cross my mind that pets are not allowed because we were assured before entering the skydeck premises that it is allowed. Then, a security came to us and asked us that he would take the dog first since pets are not allowed. We would definitely leave the place if we were informed outright that pets are not allowed. Why would we lie about that? If they are very strict about this policy, why did they seat us and serve us drinks? Why is it the servers are not informed about their own policy? Another thing is that the server who took our order did not repeat our orders. So he missed 1 drink and the food that we ordered. When we followed it up, we have been told that the food item is not available every Monday. Lol. Their service was a total joke. I wonder what the plates they put on our table are for. Won’t be returning.

Good food but service needs to improve

We went for our advance valentines celeb at 7pm. My boyfriend made an early reservation 2 days before we went. He also requested if we can be seated on the side overlooking the city lights and they replied that they cannot fully guarantee the request as the table arrangement depends upon the number of guests and weather condition which we fully understand. We went there at exactly 7pm. There was no available table at the side so we were offered another which was okay. While the waiter is taking our order, we asked to let us know if ever there will be vacant tables at the side so we can transfer and while the food is not yet served. If none, then we’re fine. While waiting for our food, the table on our side was cleared so we called the waiter if we can transfer, but he said the staff said we can’t coz that was already reserved. I told them that we also did a reservation and specifically asked for a table at the side. I thought it was not guaranteed but turns out it can be offered to those who made the reservation after all. Also, we asked the dessert to be served later but it took us 2 follow ups for them to serve. We waited like 20 mins for the dessert. The food was good but they really need to improve their service. It was actually my 2nd time there but maybe not going for third time anymore.

Great location strongly recommend for drinks and good view. Food not so good.

The location is excellent in the old city with amazing views over the old city and perfect spot to watch the sunset. Staff were very friendly and most of food was good. Unfortunately, the food orders were wrong multiple times despite checking. Order fries on the side and get rice, order ham and pineapple and get pepperoni for example as well as other peoples orders arriving at our table.

we ordered starters and main course. they brought everything together. so we sent back the main courses. after we finished the starters, we asked for the mains. it took half an hour till we got something. food was very poor (meat very dry but a lot of oil on the plate). service I. general was bad. it took forever till they took away the empty plates, no one asked if everything was OK,...

Visited with friends based on social media reports. Made a reservation but arrived late due to abysmal traffic. No table available on arrival so we were given a table by the door. I ordered a beer and Nachos. Beer and my food arrived well before my guests. Service patchy. No visible supervision of the floor. Had to chase up their orders. Nachos arrived without sour cream, guacamole, cheese, salsa or other standard toppings listed on the menu. Apparently the yellow sauce was the cheese… the other missing ingredients were very thinly hidden In among the ‘sweet’ corn chips. 1/10 for the nachos. The local food was better. Band came on for three sets and were pretty accommodating for ‘open mic’. But the guitarist seemed to play the same five chords for every song. Eventually a fun night, but I wouldn’t go back.

Other than the service and room condition, our stay was a little disappointing.

This is a review about our two night stay at The Bayleaf, not just the Sky Deck. First of all, the service is wonderful, especially "DON" who is absolutely amazing. Next is the room condition which was immaculate. That's the good stuff. The Sky Deck - we made arrangements for reservation for a table at the edge of the deck of the Sky Deck days before we arrived at the hotel. When we went to the Sky Deck for dinner at the appropriate time, we were told that we could not have a table near the edge which was specified and agreed to when we made the reservation. My wife had to argue (in Tagalog) to get a table where we wanted it. The entire hotel is a little "less than expected". No cream rinse in the shower, fewer towels than is customary, and they were not soft, as if dried on a clothesline. The TV didn't work very well, no pool (not a problem for us), a restaurant one floor below the Sky Deck is where breakfast buffet is served. Food is good for Filipinos. I am American. There is another restaurant on the 3rd floor "Raffaele's, which has really great pizza. Yes really! Also, there is not much to see in the surrounding walking area. We hired a Kalesa (horse drawn cart) to see some points of interest. All in all, I would suggest other rooftop bars/restaurants in Manila.

Dessert after walk in Intramuros

After a nice walk in Intramuros we went to have some dessert. It was a great choice to go up to the rooftop, amazing view of Manila at night. Staff was very friendly, we had great mango shake and very nice cheesecake. I can definitely recommend the place.

Enchanting Dinner over Manila View

The view is really amazing as you can see the beauty of Manila while enjoying your sumptuous dinner with a good service. The waiters just need to be more attentive and strategic as at times they are out of sight to their customers but the rest are good.
