Absolutely totally and utterly magnificent, this was one of the most enjoyable meals I have ever had in my tours around the world, food was amazing, service was just as good, I just can’t think of one negative thing to say about our experience for the night. We all left feeling very happy, and I couldn’t be more appreciative of the stars and how well we were treated. I would make a special trip back from Australia just to eat here.

Doesnt matter if you order a burger or scampies - its nice.
Price/quality rate is great.
Staff very friendly.
If you are in Manila, don’t miss Braska!

Vatel Restaurant is a restaurant that would make you feel like you're in a 5 star hotel restaurant due to the quality of food that they serve, and the flavours given to each dish were spectacular at best. I would love to eat again some time soon.

Most people will not want to eat somewhere where the service isn't crisp and efficient. The Vatel aspires to be just that. You can see from the way the staff tries its best to provide good service. Selected students are placed in the thick of operations, serving tableside or working the kitchen. It's like being on the soft opening of the restaurant all the time. However, the food is quite impressive. The Beef Bourguignon is classic with a side of greek potato and grilled vegetables it doesn't disappoint. Try the Cervezas Negra Ice cream. and ask for the Lunch special

Rooftop restaurant at Hotel Benilde, with lovely view. Lovely dining room with outside area. I ate there twise, taking the set meal, which arrives in four courses. About 550 pesos ($11 USD). Staff are attentive and skilled.

Vatel Restaurant is one of the cheapest but elegant restaurant in Manila. The servings are worth it and the price is not that expensive. The food are delicious and the plating is beautiful. The staffs are also kind and generous.

This restaurant is on the roofdeck (13th floor) of the Hotel Benilde that offers five star accommodation at a three star price on two completely refurbished floors that was previously CSB Conference Center.
The restaurant was either developed or refurbished for Pope Francis' January 2015 visit to Philippines as his Vatican City entourage stayed at Hotel Benilde for a week.
Vatel Restaurant has at least 80 seats on two levels inside with the premises being properly airconditioned. There is also al fresco seating that gives a partial view of Manila Bay although quite a number of apartment buildings ('condos') have sprung up in recent years so probably the view was once more extensive.
All the seating is classy with the internal seats being upholstered and the tables and chairs possibly made of native Filipino wood.
There is a large bar.
I was welcomed by an impeccably attired male hospitality student dressed in a stylish dark green and black uniform. Table ('service') water was immediately provided. There were five other diners inside and a couple outside, although four more arrived as I was leaving.
I had some complimetary very nice wholegrain bread with olive oil on my table within ten minutes.
Not all menu mains were available but a good choice remained. My braised duck was pleasant with it arriving in about half an hour from placing the order. Its presentation was appealing. The meat was properly cooked and good. I merely had a soft drink to accompany it.
For dessert I had a mango creme brulee that had a soft top to it unlike the caramelised hard toffee like top to which I amused in Australia.
The bill came to under P600 with taxis.
This was great value for a4.5 star evening meal. Some nights the restaurant is busier but De La Salle University does not promote it very much.
These students are very likely to move into employment at five star Metro Manila hotels once they have finished their three and a half year degree as De La Salle university is one of the top four in Philippines and Filipinos are well regarded as chefs and waiters worldwide.
A great initiative by De La Salle Uni and worth supporting if you want to enjoy an excellent meal at prices considerably under what some of the more upmarket Makati establishments restaurants at Greenbelt or competitor five star hotels charge.
The roofdeck also has a small swimming pool for hotel guests but it is out of service until30 June and in any case when open closes daily at 1900 hours.

Vatel Restaurant Manila is a fine dining restaurant that is run by the De La Salle-College of St. Benilde, where the staff are the students learning the ways of the hospitality and culinary industry. Where the service is great with students serving customers with their every need. Even though the restaurant is a fine dining, the price of the meals are very affordable for everyone to enjoy. The ambiance of the place was that of a traditional french restaurant on top of the Hotel Benilde Maison De La Salle with great view of the area, though the scene would be better at night with a nice cold evening breeze. they could accommodate large parties with a max of 100 -120 people. The Menu always change as to have different dishes every four months, but that is how they keep the guest guessing on what tey could expect at vatel restaurant manila

Had my Valentine at Maison hotel. The price was very reasonable -actually the price was a lot reasonable than the actual gastronomic experience. Have always loved this place, but going back I'm loving it more.

Great experience for us to attend a birthday celebration for my sister-in-law held last month at their function room. Their facilities are comparable if not surpasses older 5 star hotels though maybe limited in size. Floor layout and fixtures such as carpet, curtains, tables/chairs, lights and maybe acoustics are perfect. The elevated podium is just the right size with a dancing floor ample for ten persons, and we loved the sound system though management can re-evaluate speaker placement/settings (too loud for us near it). We appreciate the very clean restrooms with automated water system to save water and it's available toiletries.
Service is very good complimented by the location of buffet tables which make it easier for attendees to get their food. Service crew appropriately maintain the buffet servings, and constantly refill our glass of water. We loved their chicken and fish servings but not much of the roasted beef. Salad bar is simple; though I might have missed it, but can't find the standard "greens picker", instead we used the same utensil for meal and fruit servings.
A drawback which the hotel had to live with is the limited parking area inside the building; we're not sure if late guest we're able to park at the front, or a valet parking is available in the area like the main school building.
Although my brother's family checked-in at the hotel, we're not able to see their rooms. For sure, this hotel will be considered when the need arises.
