Aristocrat Restaurant in Roxas Boulevard, Manila still has the best Arroz con Caldo (Goto) in Metro Manila. It is open 24/7, 366 days per year. They still serve the Flying Saucer Adobo Sandwich, and the Chicken Barbeque. They have a Boneless Chicken Barbeque option too. Try their delicious Iced Tea. I like their Pancit Luglog - nicely presented, with its orange shrimp sauce.

Everybody who grew up in Manila knows of Aristocrat's! It was the place to be. Outdoor seating, filled jeepneys rolling by, waiters in white, white cloth table service. At night was the epicenter of Manila social life. Hopping at all hours of the day and night! That's gone!!! Is the BBQ chicken still good?! Yes! Halo Halo? Yes! Hototai? yes! Something has left this place. Old timer Manila residents remember this place very fondly and still frequent. But it's really nostalgia they come back for. Not for the service or the food, There is better food and better ambiance elsewhere within walking distance. It still remains a family staple for Manila residents.

Founded in the 1930's, Aristocrat is still one of the best local restaurants in the Philippines. I have been going to its original branch in Malate for years and the quality of food that it serves has never diminished. It continues to be of very high quality and the selection of dishes has even increased in time, which explains why people continue visiting the place. On weekends especially, expect a long queue of diners waiting to be seated! Finding a parking lot is a bit of a problem on such days. Anyway, service is good, price is affordable, and as to the taste of food, satisfaction is guaranteed.

Before driving to the Airport, we decided to stop here for breakfast. I had the Milkfish dish while my brother and his wife had Longanisa dish and Boneless Chicken Dishes. Service was slow and felt like we waited for about 15 minutes before our foods were served. We had to call other waiters to ask for Ketshup, hot water and dipping dish for the sausage and chicken since our designated waiter seemed to disappear. While we were eating, one of the staff started mopping the floor. My brother who used to own a restaurant in DC had to teach him how to correctly mop the floor. Total of our 3 breakfast and drinks is about 650 pesos. We bought desserts from their Bakery Shop which we had to eat back at the restaurant since it does not have any seating areas there. We're completely disappointed here. Gone are the days when service and foods served here are excellent. We're NOT going back here!

I was taken here as a 'must do' experience and I must say I was underwhelmed. It was over a year since my friend had been there and he forgot to order boneless chicken... so we were served three pieces of dry, boney, gristly chicken on a skewer and a mound of orange-coloured rice. The chicken was almost impossible to eat and the rice wasn't much better. I was treated to halo halo which was a colourful experience and the highlight of the visit. 🌼

The Aristocrat is a longstanding favorite in Manila. It haskept its reputation for good food and good value for decades. Owned and operated by the highly respected Reyes family - who also own the Mamasita brand of packaged foods loved by Filipino ex-pats in North America

The Aristocrat Restaurant, a beloved institution in the Philippines, offers an exceptional dining experience steeped in history and culinary tradition. Renowned for its signature chicken barbecue, served with flavorful Java rice and their iconic peanut-based sauce, the restaurant consistently delivers dishes that strike the perfect balance of comfort and quality. The menu is a treasure trove of Filipino classics, from hearty kare-kare to savory adobo, satisfying both locals and tourists seeking authentic cuisine. Beyond the food, The Aristocrat provides a welcoming atmosphere that reflects its rich heritage. The interiors, though simple, exude warmth and nostalgia, making it a favorite venue for family gatherings and celebrations. Service is typically attentive, with staff eager to ensure a pleasant dining experience, although it can occasionally waver during peak hours due to the restaurant's popularity. While some may find the pricing slightly higher than other establishments, the generous portions and consistent quality justify the cost. The Aristocrat’s legacy as a pioneer in promoting Filipino cuisine since its inception in 1936 further enhances its appeal. For anyone looking to explore the rich flavors of the Philippines or relive cherished memories, The Aristocrat remains a must-visit dining destination that blends history, flavor, and heart.

It was my first time in Aristrocrat Malate, my friend and I intention was to watch sunset at baywalk, while waiting we spent our time in Aristocrat. We had no idea what this restaurant could offer. After we tasted chopsuey, the chicken bbq, lumpia and halo-halo, oir taste buds were so satisfied that we wanted to taste other dishes. We, or even I will definitely come back here. :)

I went there earlier in the week and had a very good half chicken, so I decided to go back again! Well, what difference a couple of days made! Judging by the chicken sizes, I ordered the big bbq ribs, asking for a glass of water at the same time. Kept waiting for the meal for at least 25 mins, I didn't mind that as they were very busy. Meal arrived, no water! Started to cut into ribs, which EVERYWHERE else I have it, normally the meal falls of the bone, not here, had to cut off / bite of every bit which was dry and tough very little bbq sauce on it! The rice was a ball of gooey mess and only slightly warm! Still waiting for water, I had to ask 3 times b4 it arrived, It's EASERLY the worst ribs I've ever had! Trans 682179 8pm 2/3/24 Had to ask to see a manager twice! That was a waste of time. I filled in complaints form, no doubt it went straight in the bin!

Family of five; ordered five dishes + rice + 3 Halo Halo + mango smoothie. Food came out fairly quickly and good size servings! Huge rice bowl that could have served a family of 8. Dishes were tasty and well prepared- not over or undercooked ) hot plate shrimp, noodles, lumpia, clay pot, pork something, etc. I a pescatarian and plenty of food options. The restaurant really doesn’t have anything in the way of spicy sauce. Restaurant is undergoing a remodel. Air conditioning throughout but works better in the back of the restaurant. BTW, there are multiple locations of this restaurant (I went to the original location on San Andres Street.) There is a wonderful bakery next door - 80% of items require refrigeration, if not I would have bought a bunch to bring back home to the US. The cakes looked incredible.

I went here with my wife tonight for “The Best BBQ Chicken in Manila”. However, the place was just like a cafeteria with no atmosphere and the food wasn’t very nice, over cooked cheap cuts of chicken, which was cold along with the rice. I would not return and though it wasn’t alien for money.

This is my favorite restaurant in ermita and the variety is so massive. Our daughter loved everything we ordered for her and the desserts were so good too. Right across from a park and easy to get to and very fast on getting you seated and served.

After working 'in country' for 18 years, this was my first visit. I told my driver to take us to a competitor's establishment just down the road from here and he said you really need to try Aristocrats. I know now, I should have made it a point to dine here many years ago. All our entrées were tasted exceptional and the service was very friendly.

Aristocrat is still one of my favorite Manila restaurants. Everything is the same as it was in the 1960s. Food is just as good, presented the same way. The Flying Saucer sandwiches still taste great and now evoke memories of happy childhood for me. Nothing bad here. Friendly service, great food and a true, iconic Pinoy experience.

I came here for lunch with some business associates. It's been about five years since I last visited this restaurant. The menu has changed slightly, and the shrimp in chili sauce no longer comes with eggs. It's good that the shrimp have been changed from small to slightly larger. We ordered sisig (pork dish), sinigang (soup), braised pork, deep-fried fish with sweet and sour sauce, shrimp dish, and fried rice. It was not crowded, so the food was served quickly. The food was delicious and unchanged. The price was not too high and was reasonable.
