One of the best fresh lumpia places in Chinatown. They do not skimp on the fillings and it’s affordable. They also have other viands as well.

A hole-in-the-wall kind of eatery. Only about 4-5 2-seater tables. You simply eat and go. No air conditioning system, so might get hot during summer season. Place was clean enough for a place its size. Only tried their fresh lumpia. But, man, it was phenomenal....Its taste was just as how I imagined a truly delicious fresh lumpia should be. Very unfortunately, I was out of time, and also, just finished eating at Quik Snack next door. If only my stomach could allow it, I would have eaten 2 or 3 serves instead of only one. I just wished that I had more time in order to enjoy their lumpia again. By the way, it only cost, if I remember it right, only PHP95. If I get the opportunity to visit Manila again this year, I will make sure to really relish and enjoy their fresh lumpia again, and again, and again.More
New Po-Heng's Lumpia has thin lumpia wrapper and looks small compared with regular fresh lumpia but once you cut the former, the wrapper will unveil fresh vegetables, hoti and nuts. New Po-Heng Lumpia has a distinct texture due to its filling and it provides refreshing...flavor coming from the vegetables and a peanutbuttery after taste. New Po-Heng Lumpia costs Php 95.More
new po heng lumpia house is located along carvajal street, the place is like an open stall, old and small, but their fresh lumpia is delicious, it cost 80pesos, its best to just buy and take out the lumpia and eat it at your comportable...home or places.More
When I went to try out this place it had moved. So had to ask the locals where it had moved to and was given various responses which were all false. Beggars belief how the locals would have no idea!! Anyway now to the lumpia....It was crunchy inside where the vegetables combined with peanuts and other yummy ingredients woke up hibernating taste buds. It is a must try when in Binondo and very cheap!!More
If you're a fresh lumpia lover, you have to visit New Po Heng in Binondo! I don't want to make this review too long, because you only need to know one thing: Their lumpia is one of the BEST fresh lumpias I've ever had ever....Just make sure to use maps or ask around because getting here is quite a maze, an easy maze! Also, the restaurant can only fit a small number of people so just get their lumpia to go!More
health conscious lovers paradise! the fresh lumpia is very very tasty! they also serve a wide variety of chinese dishes at a reasonable price.
They left a dingy place beneath an old apartment in Juan Luna St. for a hole-in-the-wall Carvajal St. tiny nook to be "with the Big leagues". But for me, I'll always associate their PERFECT CHINESE spring rolls with early morning Mass in Binondo Church and...breakfast of Chinese lumpia and noodles after. I wonder if they still cook other foods than lumpia... I'm missing those...More
This is not my first time to eat here. I was here several years back, but this time I brought my hubby along on our DIY Chinatown food tour. We retraced the food tour I took years back, so I brought him to this lumpia...house. I remember it was very crowded years back but because we were a big food tour crowd, but this time, it was just hubby and I. So I got to take my time taking pics of the lumpia making process. It has toasted black sesame seeds and some peanuts also which I love.More
used to loved eating here and quite frankly their food specially the "fresh lumpia" was delicious. However, I have encountered some experiences which made me stop eating here. I will enumerate them one by one. 1. I cannot stand the oral defamation and SHOUTING that...the owners use towards their employees, for god sake they are just working. Being able to understand language they use the words "animal", "trash" or other hurtful words towards their workers. 2. I heard from one of my friend's mother that to find a way around the senior card discount. New Po Heng Lumpia House will BUMP UP OR INCREASE their prices so that, after the discount their price would still be the same as their regular selling price. Hey, Owners of this restaurant the senior discount is given to the senior members of a society for a reason. You are not the government and you do not have the right to do that kind of thing. 3. I love to explore new places to eat in Binondo and other places. Owners of this store take my experiences as a lesson to improve your services and please do not SHOUT or CURSE inside your store. It only makes you store look like a FLEAMARKET.More
Drop the mic! Best chinese fresh lumpia in Manila! Best combo: Empty stomach, fresh lumpia and an ice cold Coke in a glass or bottle.(Coke zero or the usual. It’s your call.)
Ambience: It was hot during our evening visit but this is expected of other establishments in the area. It's a really simple place that's more about food than interior. Self-service water is available. Food: Their Lumpia recipe is excellent! It's a delicious mix of sweet...and salty goodness and due to its size, two of us shared one order. It's slightly pricy but very delicious anyway, and at least it's healthy. Service: Par to expectations: We enjoyed watching them prepare each order!More
A quiet jewel that sits amidst noisy Binondo. The fresh lumpia is absolutely delicious. Be sure to have it paired with garlic for maximum yuminess.
All of us love lumpia. We used to make them but it was labor-intensive, took a lot of good ingredients, man-power and cooking time. My siblings and I have eaten a lot of lumpia from a lot of restaurants, all of us consider they serve...the best lumpia in the whole Manila and Metro Manila. Their lumpia is very large compared with others. You walk in and dead end to a wall with a large overhead signage of store name in gold Chinese characters and English letters (alphabets) on red background. The only way to turn is right, which opens up to a large area (large pots of plants on the right) You see a lumpia set-up station (on left) cashier, and a beverage table (self-service and Tea/water is free). Order your lumpia and the staff rolls it up for you. The lumpia is fat and very compact - meaning lots of filling in the wrapper. There are nondescript tables and chairs for sitting. They have another store somewhere in Chinatown, but their lumpia at this another store, taste exactly the same, is smaller, we had ordered take-out lumpia from this other store that's how I know the difference in size.More
