There exists a little place called Misono that specializes in curry udon. The first thing that hits you is the smell from a few stores away. Next you enter a little bar with maybe seating for 10 just enough room for a bowl of udon...noodles. We had the Tonkatsu Curry Udon and the spring special (cold Udon with a salad in the middle. The curry was thick and flavorful, just a hint of sweetness with slightly bitter after taste, just perfect IMO. Tonkatsu was perfectly fried but was soaking curry at a very fast rate. So don't dawdle if you want the crispy texture. Udon noodles were a thicker and potentially homemade set given the texture and flavor. What a great place for those cold wintery nights!More

This very small and special restaurant is a must visit if in Arima. First night we had lots of small snacks. Great sausage, grilled kobe beef, fried calamari and a lot of belgian beer. Only japanese menu but friendly staff will help you as good...as they can, not expencive. To days later we had lunch, they only then serve curry udon noodle dishes, the se also tasty. A place i will remember.More

At night it was one of the few places open in this town. We went at dinner time and they weren't serving curry but the fried chicken and beef were good and the staff and atmosphere worth the visit.

A tiny restaurant seating only 12, this was an unassuming gem. The food was amazing, unexpectedly western with plenty of Belgium beers. The menu was only in Japanese, but the waitress helped us select. We had mild chilli fried noodles which were delicious. The tempura...chicken and octopus were fresh and crispy. Thick cut bacon with melted cheese, and baguette, a familiar taste but done so well. The clam was sold out for the day. An empty box of Westvleteren 12 was obviously a special order, but still brought a tear to my eye, if only. I wanted to sit in this restaurant and order for hours, everything was amazing. The food, service and atmosphere all something that we have not found anywhere else in Japan.More
